I am the Ultimate Villain, So What If I Kill a Protagonist

208: Chapter 208 Traitor of the Underworld PalaceIf the shrapnel was not removed in time, given her current injured state, as time passed, the lead poisoning from the shrapnel would gradually corrode and destroy the muscle fibers in Master Bai Mudan’s body.

Even if she didn’t die, she would be severely crippled and left half-disabled.

”Now that I have been severely injured by the Dragon Group, I suspect they won’t give up until they see my corpse, and they will definitely continue to track me down.”

”I have no way out left. I only hope that my final hiding place has not been betrayed. If it has, then I fear there will be nowhere left for me to hide in the entire Dragon Kingdom.”

Master Bai Mudan muttered to herself, wiping the cold sweat from her forehead.

Sensing that the lead poison from the shrapnel had begun to spread through her body and could no longer be suppressed, she feared that the next moment might see her body consumed by the corrosion.

Gritting her teeth, Master Bai Mudan decided to head to her last remaining hiding spot in the Magic City.

When she first arrived in the Dragon Kingdom, she had already dispatched Per to the Magic City to scout the situation and, incidentally, to search for the whereabouts of her disciple, Ye Yun.

Yet, after such a long time, the person she had sent had not returned; instead, she had been met with an ambush by the Dragon Group.

This matter was far too unusual.

If not for the fact that Master Bai Mudan was currently severely injured, struggling to suppress her wounds, and in urgent need of a place to heal,

she, being cautious by nature, would never have recklessly rushed to a secret contact point to seek help without knowing what had happened to Per or whether she had betrayed her.

Meanwhile, in Chu Yuan’s study.

Zuo Shishi was delivering the latest report.

”Young Master, based on our interrogation of the woman from the Nether Palace, we have learned that the Nether Palace still has an informant buried in the Magic City. This is their last secret contact point in the Magic City, and this is his detailed information.”

As she said this, Zuo Shishi handed the file in her hand to Chu Yuan.

Chu Yuan took the file Zuo Shishi had given him and looked through it casually.

Sima Lei. Twenty-five years old, both parents deceased. He is a bartender and has some connections with local thugs; he is an informant planted by the Nether Palace in the Magic City.

The Dragon Kingdom is a forbidden zone for mercenaries, prohibiting any mercenaries from entering. Furthermore, the Dragon Group conducts strict screenings for such mercenaries.

Therefore, although the Nether Palace possesses transcendent strength abroad, it has not been able to gain any foothold within the country.

It is precisely because of this that the informant, Sima Lei, has never entered the core of the Nether Palace.

Although Sima Lei is currently known as an informant for the Nether Palace, he is actually in a semi-abandoned state.

”So this guy doesn’t truly belong to the Nether Palace at all, and he doesn’t even know what kind of power the entity he has been loyal to for these years actually possesses. This makes things much easier to manipulate.”

After carefully observing and pondering the intelligence, Chu Yuan understood what was going on.

The saying that the Dragon Kingdom is a forbidden zone for mercenaries is not just idle talk.

If Master Bai Mudan and Ye Yun dared to send people from the Nether Palace into the Dragon Kingdom, it wouldn’t take long for the Dragon Group to detect them and subsequently eradicate all these secret agents.

If they wanted to set up their own eyes and ears in the Dragon Kingdom, they couldn’t use people from abroad; they could only choose locals from the Magic City, and they couldn’t afford any exposure.

This so-called Nether Palace informant—to put it nicely, he is an informant; to put it bluntly, he is just a simple-minded thug.

This was similar to some books about thugs that Chu Yuan had seen in his previous life.

Many brainless thugs have all sorts of messy ideas, always wanting to join certain organizations. After receiving a little money and being casually deceived by the other party, they happily trot along behind them, serving as their underlings.

As for what the other party’s background is, why they need them to do these things, or what deep, underlying meanings are involved, those are not questions that those mindless youths consider.

They just muddle-headedly act as informants for the other party, providing intelligence and necessary help.

They never consider in their hearts just how dangerous the things they are doing might be.

”For such a small-time thug to have no idea about the existence of the Nether Palace or Master Bai Mudan—this is getting more and more interesting.”

Upon seeing such a boring little thug, a bold idea suddenly surged into Chu Yuan’s mind.

Don’t forget, at the very beginning, the system rewarded him with a human skin mask. Chu Yuan had always had the idea of role-playing, but unfortunately, he had never found a suitable target.

Now that this thug had appeared in his field of view, combined with the fact that Master Bai Mudan was at her wit’s end, she would definitely go to this secret contact point.

He could follow the loli girl Master Bai Mudan and engage in an inevitable role-play between a small-time thug and a mercenary queen.

In fact, Master Bai Mudan’s inner worries were not entirely groundless.

At the same time as she came to the Magic City, Master Bai Mudan had dispatched her trusted subordinate, Per, to the city center of the Magic City to scout for information.

Unfortunately, their movements had long been within Chu Yuan’s grasp.

The moment Per entered the Magic City, she was captured alive by Chu Yuan’s men.

After learning of Master Bai Mudan’s hiding place, Chu Yuan immediately notified Mo Chou, telling him to lead all the Dragon Group experts in the Magic City, bring plenty of weapons, rush to Master Bai Mudan’s hiding spot, and launch an encirclement and interception against her.

This was also the incident at the abandoned building where Master Bai Mudan was ambushed by Mo Chou and a group of Dragon Group experts.

As for how to make Per, one of the four great guardians of the Nether Palace, that woman who wasn’t even afraid of death, speak up and spill everything she knew.

Chu Yuan stated that he certainly wouldn’t dare to do anything unrefined to such a delicate woman.

He simply brought in the monk Jiesha and asked him to keep the woman company and have a good time.

The benevolent-looking monk Jiesha did not have the habit of hitting or bullying women; he merely gave her a tour of his unique inventions, such as the Ten Great Tortures of the Qing Dynasty.

Upon seeing that terrifying book of punishments, this Nether Palace messenger, who was as beautiful as an angel, was already trembling with fear and her lovely face had paled at the sight of such inhumane tortures.

Before the monk Jiesha could even let her experience what the Ten Great Tortures of the Qing Dynasty felt like, this angel spilled everything like beans from a bamboo tube, directly selling out Master Bai Mudan and the Nether Palace completely, honestly confessing everything she knew.

Regarding the questions Chu Yuan posed, Per spoke without reservation, not daring to hide a single thing.

She was terrified that the murderous demon monk would make her experience the so-called Ten Great Tortures of the Qing Dynasty.
