Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 699: Chapter 698: Pick Me Up After Work Tonight?

What Nia Mitchell didn’t know was that after she said, ”That’s alright, he’s just busy,” the CEO in the MC Group’s Office Room, far away, was overjoyed.

Just thinking about Charles Northwood not being with Nia Mitchell made him so happy he could... ...eat two extra bowls of rice!

Yes, yes, it’s good if Charles Northwood is busy. He deserves it.

Maxwell Peary saw no problem with his thoughts. Sitting in the Office Room, all signs of gloom had completely disappeared from his face. He felt unusually jovial. It almost seemed like the flowers in the Office Room were about to bloom.

Nia Mitchell just thought the CEO was comforting her, so she could only agree.

”Alright, I won’t say more. Uncle, remember to eat lunch.”

Nia Mitchell said this and was about to hang up.

”Wait a minute.”

On the other end of the line, Maxwell Peary suddenly spoke, stopping her.

Huh?

Nia Mitchell was a little unsure what Maxwell Peary wanted to do, so she paused.

”What’s up?”

Hearing Nia Mitchell’s voice and knowing she hadn’t hung up yet, the corners of Maxwell Peary’s lips curved up slightly.

”The Maybach has been sent for repairs. You come to MC to pick me up tonight.”

Maxwell Peary had long wanted to experience this: his wife picking him up after work.

This kind of life was just too good!

Nia Mitchell was taken aback.

”Don’t we have a driver at home?”

She had always been curious about this. Back when she worked at Star Media, EdbertNia Mitchell always had a dedicated driver. He was always chauffeured whenever he went out. But Uncle didn’t seem like that. He rarely had chauffeurs pick him up; most of the time, he drove himself. This time, after the Maybach got scratched, he surprisingly asked her to pick him up instead of calling for a driver.

So, does the CEO just keep drivers for show?

A driver!

Only then did Maxwell Peary think of this, and the corner of his mouth twitched.

”COUGH. Actually, I’m not used to having drivers drive my car.”

Maxwell Peary’s skill at bluffing was improving. He definitely wouldn’t admit that he hadn’t used a driver before because he didn’t want a third wheel between him and Bunny.

Having her pick him up tonight, well, that was romantic, okay?

Naturally, Nia Mitchell had no idea about the CEO’s ulterior motives, but listening to his explanation, she found it understandable.

”Alright, then I’ll pick you up after work tonight.”

Nia Mitchell could only agree. The CEO isn’t the type to take a cheap taxi, after all.

Walking from MC Group to the hillside Villa... Heh... He might as well just live in the Office Room.

After they had made their arrangements, they hung up. By this time, Fiona Sutton was sitting opposite Nia Mitchell, leisurely eating scallops.

”Seriously, did you really have to spend ages on the phone with that CEO of yours?” Fiona Sutton looked at Nia Mitchell with disdain, though she didn’t stop eating.

”We just exchanged a few words. How was that ’spending ages on the phone’?” Nia Mitchell’s face turned slightly red, and she refused to admit it.

Fiona Sutton nodded. Fine, have it your way.

”Hurry up and eat. Have you decided where we’re going later?” Fiona Sutton gestured towards the food on Nia Mitchell’s plate, then continued eating.

”I don’t know yet. I mainly just wanted to get out and about.”

Even just sitting down and chatting with Fiona Sutton would be fine.

Fiona Sutton picked up the juice on the side, drinking it in large gulps.

”How about we go mountain climbing?”

Speaking of such activities, Fiona Sutton immediately perked up.
