Chapter 969: Chapter 968: Young Master I Just Love This Approach! (4 more)

When most of the people around had left, Xue Tao slowly walked up to Ye Haochuan and said sternly, ”Ye Haochuan, I challenge you to a duel!”

Although it could not be said that the destruction of the Heavenly Star Grass was Ye Haochuan’s fault, it was indeed caused by him. If he had handed over the Heavenly Star Grass earlier, would this incident have happened?

Even leaving that matter aside, Xue Tao had his own reasons for wanting to kill Ye Haochuan.

In his heart, Ye Haochuan had become an indelible shadow. Originally, he was stronger than Ye Haochuan, yet he had lost to him in a the end. If he didn’t turn the tables now, it would definitely affect his future cultivation.

Moreover, in just over a short month, Ye Haochuan’s cultivation had become comparable to his own!

Xue Tao was afraid. He feared if he did not find an opportunity to defeat Ye Haochuan now, he would never get another chance.

Although Xue Tao was also at the Foundation Establishment Early Stage, his father had given him a Spiritual Artifact, which made his combat power comparable to someone at the Foundation Establishment Mid-Stage, and that’s why he dared to challenge Ye Haochuan to a duel.

”The Heavenly Star Grass is gone. What more do you want?” Long Piaoying glared fiercely at Xue Tao. The Heavenly Star Grass was something she risked her life to obtain, and now that it was destroyed, she was naturally the most frustrated.

”This is a matter between him and me. I respectfully ask Senior Long not to interfere!” Xue Tao’s voice was very cold, and with a powerhouse at the Foundation Establishment Peak behind him, he naturally was not afraid of Long Piaoying.

”Challenge me to a duel?” Ye Haochuan just laughed, ”You were stronger than me before and still couldn’t beat me, isn’t this just asking for punishment?”

”Hmph, less nonsense, I’m asking if you dare to accept the challenge!” Xue Tao declared loudly.

”Trying to provoke me, huh?” Ye Haochuan’s eyebrows slanted as he said, ”I, little lord, am all for it!”

The two immediately went to an open area, without any unnecessary words, Xue Tao immediately surged his Spiritual Energy, charging at Ye Haochuan with a menacing aura.

”Pfft, fighting you is like playing around!” No need for treasures, given that the two of them were at the same Boundary.

Tathagata’s Divine Finger!

Ye Haochuan took a quick step forward, his figure elusive, and instantly a golden light burst forth from his fingertips.

Xue Tao jumped into the air, dodging the attack, and in mid-air, a sharp swoosh approached Ye Haochuan’s ear.

”Boom!”

Ye Haochuan punched out to meet the attack, fist and leg collided, creating a massive explosion, and the force of Xue Tao’s kick cracked the ground under Ye Haochuan’s feet.

”Hmph!” With a muffled grunt, Ye Haochuan suddenly exerted force, Spiritual Energy rippling out like waves, promptly pushing Xue Tao back with a powerful force.

Xue Tao was pushed back several zhang, his figure abruptly shifted, charging forward again.

Ye Haochuan stepped into the air, his feet moving with the Mystifying Steps, his speed astonishingly fast.

As they clashed again, shockwaves resonated around them, and intense light burst forth from the sky, with Spiritual Energy scattering in all directions.

”Wow! There’s a good show to watch!” As soon as the two engaged in combat, those who were preparing to leave immediately ran back.

”Looks like it’s an internal fight among the Ancient Martial Arts Sect people!”

”Isn’t that Xue Tao, the Young Lord of the Human Sect of the Ancient Martial Arts Sect? Wasn’t he acting all superior before? Why is he taking matters into his own hands now?”

”I heard Xue Tao is highly talented, with few rivals among his peers!”

”Who is this fool that crossed him?”

”Isn’t that the guy who had the Heavenly Star Grass just now? Seems to be called Ye Haochuan or something. The Heavenly Star Grass is destroyed, and Xue Tao still won’t let him off?”

”Who knows? He’s stupid, should have handed over the Heavenly Star Grass earlier. Now, see what happened? He’s put his life on the line.”

”Why bother with so many details, watching the excitement is what counts!”

...

People who were watching the excitement did not mind the situation getting bigger, commenting and discussing among themselves, some even shouting a few words.

In the crowd, Li Mei’s expression was fiercely resolute, quietly standing aside. If Ye Haochuan was killed by Xue Tao, it would save him a lot of trouble.

There were also others who were at odds with Ye Haochuan attracted over, like Tang Yun of Phantom Sound Pavilion, Liu Tang of the Liu Family, and so on.

With both contestants being on an equal Boundary, without the use of treasures, it was truly a battle of equals. For the time being, it was difficult to determine the victor.

After a round of fighting, both of them retreated several zhang, standing off in the distance.

”Ground Collapse Technique!”

Xue Tao suddenly let out a fierce shout, and spiritual energy poured into the ground fiercely; in an instant, the terrain under Ye Haochuan’s feet that was originally solid suddenly softened, trapping his feet as if he were in a quagmire.

Taking advantage of this moment, Xue Tao struck with his palm, and immediately a huge palm seal pressed down from the sky.

The palm seal was like a dark cloud, its might unmatched.

”Boom!”

Ye Haochuan sank into the ground, his feet seemed to be tightly clamped by a pair of powerful hands, and he struggled to break free for a moment.

The Great Palm Imprint slammed down, causing the ground to crack and stones to fly in all directions.

”Ouch, that palm strike is going to cost him his life!”

”Worthy of being one of the top geniuses of the Human Sect, indeed slightly superior.”

Although everyone didn’t think that this palm strike could kill Ye Haochuan, at least it could establish a winning situation for Xue Tao.

And then, at this moment—

With a loud bang, several boulders shot into the sky and were then shattered into powder by a powerful force of spiritual power.

A figure suddenly burst out from the dust and debris.

Ye Haochuan finally broke free from the Ground Collapse Technique, and the spot where he had been standing was now a large pit.

Ye Haochuan rushed towards Xue Tao at high speed, and a True Dragon seemed to be dancing around him.

”Awooo!”

A deafening dragon roar sounded, and the mighty tail of the True Dragon swept across, immediately sending Xue Tao flying, coughing up blood.

The spectators were dumbfounded.

”Xue Tao’s strike just now didn’t hurt him?”

”Misjudged it! I thought the Young Lord of the Human Sect had secured the victory, but he got turned around that quickly!”

Ye Haochuan soared through the void, his clothes whipping in the wind.

”Tathagata’s Divine Finger!”

He didn’t give Xue Tao any chance to catch his breath; as he pressed the attack, he pointed out and a bloody hole immediately appeared in Xue Tao’s left chest, a shocking sight.

Ye Haochuan followed up with big strides, continuing his assault.

”He’s not giving Xue Tao a chance at all!”

”It seems he wants to finish the fight right here.”

Surrounding spectators all discussed amongst themselves, and indeed, this was what Ye Haochuan was thinking; Xue Tao was not his match, and the fact that Ye Haochuan had fought with Xue Tao for so long was already giving him face, not allowing him to lose too disgracefully in the presence of many Xuanmen Cultivators.

Xue Tao felt indignant, thinking that his palm had already established a winning situation, but Ye Haochuan not only was unharmed but also suddenly counterattacked and wounded him.

Seeing Ye Haochuan’s overwhelming momentum, Xue Tao knew that if this continued, he would only be beaten again!

”Ah!”

Xue Tao suddenly let out a long howl, instantly a terrifying wave of light shook out and Ye Haochuan felt a chill in his heart, immediately retreating.

When the light wave dissipated, in Xue Tao’s hands, there was now a golden long spear!

This was a Spiritual Artifact Golden Moon Spear specially made for him by his father; with this weapon, his combat strength soared.

However, Xue Tao was also very clear, understanding that Ye Haochuan had some treasures that had not been used yet. Now that he was forced to use his Spiritual Artifact first, he had already lost a round.

Xue Tao’s eyes widened with rage as he stepped into the air and swung the spear, creating a flurry. Instantly, a crescent-like spear light whirled and flew out.

”Oh my, the tide of battle has turned again!”

”This plot is really full of twists and turns, what an emotional rollercoaster; with this spear, Xue Tao’s combat strength is comparable to a Mid-Stage Foundation Establishment expert!” The audience once again marveled.

Seeing that Ye Haochuan stood unmoved, Xue Tao couldn’t help but roar, ”Aren’t you going to bring out your treasure?”
