System Awakened: I Became the Mafia Kings' Obsession

Chapter 67: 67:it seems he’s tired of living

Cassian Mansion

Cassian was dressed in a black half-button shirt and black pants with a very long coat on. He wore his black hand gloves and sat on the chair with his legs crossed.

”Bring him in,” he ordered.

Not long after, Venom entered dragging a young man in with two guards behind him. He tossed him onto the floor in front of Cassian as if he were a piece of paper, then stood beside Cassian.

Seeing the man, Cassian smiled. He took the pack of cigarettes on the table, picked one out, and put it in his mouth. Right away, Venom brought out his lighter and lit the cigarette for him.

Cassian released a gust of smoke from his mouth and stared at the man now kneeling on the floor in front of him, shivering.

”I heard you are tracing my wife. You can deny that, feel free,” Cassian said, his voice cold.

The man gritted his teeth together, forcing himself to stay calm. ”The mighty Mafia Don everyone is afraid of is actually afraid of losing his wife? Turns out there can be something you are afraid of losing,” he mocked, laughing loudly.

Cassian smirked, putting the cigarette back in his mouth, taking in a large drag of smoke, and puffing it out without putting the cigarette away.

With two fingers, he pulled the cigarette from his mouth and stared at the man, his smirk widening. ”Well, that’s true. I’m afraid of losing my wife, so I have to pay very close attention to her and ensure her safety. All of you that think you can use my wife to threaten me have to die,” he replied.

”You don’t think it’s only our square that wants you dead, do you? Now everyone knows what you are afraid of—and that wife of yours. I guess heaven wants to punish you, that’s why it made you fall for such a lady with nothing but beauty,” the man commented, snorting arrogantly.

Venom rolled his eyes. ”How stupid,” he thought, staring at the man with a disgusted expression on his face.

Cassian’s smirk widened. ”Nothing but beauty?” he repeated, and stood up. Approaching the man, he grabbed his head and used his cheek to put out the cigarette flame.

”Ahh... ahhh! Ahhh!” he screamed in pain, but Cassian didn’t release him until the flame was completely off.

”You just insulted my wife. I will have to cut off your tongue as an apology to her. Don’t worry, I will accept your apology on her behalf,” Cassian said, completing his statement, and sat back on the chair. ”Venom,” he called.

Venom nodded and walked closer to the man, bringing a small, sharp knife out of his pocket.

”What... what are you trying to do!” The man was terrified and moved back on his knees, watching as Venom approached him. ”K... killing is illegal—” He couldn’t finish his statement when Venom suddenly grabbed him by his neck and forced his mouth open.

Before he could utter any words, the two men standing guard on the sides stepped forward to give a hand, and Venom effortlessly cut his tongue out, dropping it to the floor.

”Mhm! Mhm!” The man couldn’t scream, hot tears escaping his eyes, desperate to escape, but the two men holding him were too strong. He couldn’t free himself.

”I definitely won’t kill you,” Cassian said, and took his phone, dialing Raymond’s number.

The phone rang a few times before the call was finally connected. ”What’s up?” Raymond’s voice echoed.

”I caught someone stalking my wife. He’s up to no good. I’m just calling you to come and take care of him,” Cassian replied calmly.

”Oh... it seems he’s tired of living,” Raymond commented coldly. ”I will ask my men to come and get him shortly.”

”Sure, I... will be waiting,” Cassian replied. He tossed his phone to the side and stretched out his hand toward Venom.

Venom passed the knife in his hand to Cassian immediately.

Taking the knife, Cassian squatted down in front of the man. ”Before his men arrive, let me take proper care of you first. Remember one thing, in your next life, never mess with my woman,” he said, and stabbed the man deeply in the hand.

”Mhmm!!!” The man groaned in pain, his eyes widening as if pleading with Cassian to let him go, more tears escaping his eyes.

”Are you begging for more?” Cassian asked with a chilling smile on his lips.

The man shook his head immediately, fear truly taking over his body so much that he was violently shivering.

Cassian laughed. ”Yeah, you must be begging for more, considering the fact that you were so arrogant earlier. That must have been the case,” he said, and slid the knife onto his finger, slicing off his pinky.

The man groaned more painfully. Unable to handle the extreme pain he was feeling and the terror that completely took over his heart, he passed out.

”Boring,” Cassian commented and threw the knife on the floor, sitting back on the chair. Venom passed him a white handkerchief, and he used it to wipe the bloodstains on his sleeve clean.

”Hand him over to Raymond’s men when they arrive,” he ordered.

”Yes, Boss,” the two men replied, and dragged the man away.

”Have you investigated the square he belongs to?” Cassian asked, removing his gloves and throwing them on the floor.

Venom nodded. ”Yes, he belongs to the fifth assassin’s square. Someone issued an order to kidnap the young madam, but to watch her for a while and confirm whether your relationship with her is strong. But the person that issued the order... I’m still investigating,” he replied.

”Hmph, wanting to use my wife, wishful thinking. Clean up the ridiculous men eyeing my wife, don’t let my darling get irritated,” Cassian ordered.

Venom nodded.

”If I say I know who issued the order to kidnap my beautiful, perfect sister-in-law, what reward will you grant me, Cassian?” Lucian’s voice echoed from the entrance as he walked in.

Venom immediately stood in front of Cassian protectively, ready to pull out his gun.

Lucian stared at Venom and chuckled. ”Calm down, I’m here for a peaceful talk,” he said, taking a seat on the chair.

Venom scanned Lucian from head to toe, only stepping back when he didn’t sense any immediate hostility from him.

”Long time no see, dear brother,” Cassian said, his voice cold and deadly.
