Global Survival: I Got the D-Rank Personnel Simulator

’Huh? The Stitched Base can receive information from the Main Battle Zone? Otherwise, there shouldn’t be such a big change. Is it only the Stitched Base like this, or do all bases have some method of communication?’

If it was the latter, then Lin Ye’s situation was extremely dire. With the Savage camp destroyed, the Insect Nest having problems, and the Stitched Creatures dispatched from the Stitched Base disappearing, even a fool would know someone was dealing with these bases. Moreover, Lin Ye’s location could be easily deduced.

Lin Ye immediately moved away from the ambush point and rushed at full speed toward the fourth red circle base. He needed to maintain his current state of being hidden while the enemy was exposed. Otherwise, it wouldn’t be long before he would be surrounded by hordes of monsters and forced to return to the Shelter.

The fourth red circle base was a pitch-black church. The church was large, with an outer courtyard planted with black plants. Some humanoid creatures wearing black robes were kneeling in the courtyard, praying.

Those humanoid creatures all held black books of varying thickness in their hands. There was also such a book in the loot space.

Lin Ye did not take out the book to check its information. Books were carriers for storing information, and much information was not safe.

’These monsters seem to have some way to avoid spiritual energy attacks, but it appears they cannot avoid special Rune Bullets.’

Lin Ye took out several magazines filled with Rune Bullets, unloaded the bullets from them, and then mixed them together into one magazine.

He wasn’t sure if it was the special material in the bullets or a specific rune that was effective against these monsters, so he decided to test it.

After loading the magazine, Lin Ye quietly approached the courtyard, but he was quickly discovered. Those black-robed believers, holding their black books, stepped closer to Lin Ye one by one, their faces wearing malicious smiles.

They weren’t walking fast, but they were closing the distance between themselves and Lin Ye at an astonishing speed.

*Bang!*

Lin Ye fired a shot at the nearest believer. The bullet hit the believer’s head. After a brief, localized collapse, the believer’s head quickly returned to its original state.

At that moment, Lin Ye noticed that the black book in the believer’s hand had become slightly thinner.

’The Collapse Rune effect is average. So, the previous one-shot head explosion was related to the special material in the bullet?’

*Bang!*

Lin Ye fired another shot. This time, the believer’s head was directly blown apart. The thickness of the black book did not decrease.

’Bullets mixed with a small amount of gray ore powder are very effective. It seems the value of those few ores and the mining card is quite high.’

The system’s note for gray ores was: You can also grind it into powder and add it to your enemy’s food.

Back then, Lin Ye thought of mixing gray ore powder into bullet materials, allowing him to directly inject the powder into an enemy’s body.

Lin Ye switched to the magazine loaded with bullets mixed with gray ore powder and began quickly clearing the approaching believers. Although these believers could rapidly close in on Lin Ye through some method, they did not dodge his bullets. So, as long as he had enough bullets, Lin Ye could prevent them from getting close.

He didn’t know, nor did he want to know, what would happen if these believers got close. His bullets were still relatively plentiful, more than enough to deal with the believers in the courtyard.

The believers in the courtyard were soon all killed by Lin Ye. He picked up the black books scattered on the ground and placed them into his loot space, then used the Cross Scepter to absorb the blood from within these believers’ bodies.

Afterward, Lin Ye collected a small amount of material from the corpses of these believers. These corpses gave him a rather unpleasant feeling.

After dealing with the loot, Lin Ye cautiously approached the courtyard. The church’s main door automatically opened, as if inviting Lin Ye to enter.

The portal was right in the middle of the aisle in the church’s main hall. On either side of the portal were two rows of pews. At the end of the aisle was a pulpit.

A humanoid creature wearing black ceremonial robes stood on the pulpit, staring across the main hall and courtyard at Lin Ye.

Lin Ye did not enter the church. Rashly entering enemy territory was not a wise move. Being able to quickly deal with those believers was entirely due to the gray ores. The interior of the church was certainly far more dangerous than those believers.

A cloud of flesh appeared in the distant sky. Judging by the direction, the flesh cloud was drifting toward the church base.

Lin Ye was quite certain that flesh cloud was coming for him. It likely carried a squad sent to deal with him, or perhaps a single powerful being capable of handling him.

’Should I go to the next base? No, if they don’t find me here, they’ll definitely go to the next one. I can’t go to the Stitched Base either. If I were them, I’d definitely set a trap there... Forget it, I’ll take a trip to the Main Battle Zone. My task is to farm monsters anyway, not to end this war.’

Lin Ye moved away from the church base at full speed from the other side, then changed direction and headed straight for the Main Battle Zone.

The path near the Main Battle Zone was littered with various monsters. Lin Ye quickly dealt with the monsters he encountered and soon approached the enemy forces from behind.

The situation in the Main Battle Zone was exceptionally fierce. Various monsters, relying on a giant war fortress constructed from flesh and blood, were fighting against the Soldiers. The Soldiers used various heavy, long-range spiritual energy weapons to bombard the war fortress, clearing the monsters on it.

The sky and ground were battlefields everywhere, with waves of intense combat ongoing. The battle lines stretched to the limits of vision, with Soldiers and monsters dying every minute and second.

Now Lin Ye finally understood why these Soldiers weren’t afraid of their uniforms being captured by the enemy. Whenever a Soldier died, their corpse would undergo a violent explosion. Forget the uniform, an explosion of that magnitude wouldn’t even leave behind chunks of flesh.

Many Soldiers would hold onto enemies and self-destruct before dying.

’...This uniform won’t suddenly explode, will it?’

Lin Ye felt somewhat uneasy as he quietly ran to the rear of the giant war fortress. He really didn’t want to perish together with these monsters.

’This thing looks pretty tough. I wonder how much damage I can do to it...’

Lin Ye took out the Cross Scepter. By now, the Cross Scepter had turned a deep red, filled with compressed spiritual energy mixed with various types of blood.

’Continue compressing, until the limit.’

Lin Ye compressed the spiritual energy inside to the utmost limit he could achieve, then carved various spiritual energy runes onto it. Finally, he aimed the Cross Scepter at the war fortress.

”Blood Burning!”

Blood burned within the Cross Scepter, unleashing a massive burst of energy!

”Fire!”

Lin Ye fired the compressed spiritual energy from within the Cross Scepter at the war fortress. The Cross Scepter’s ability enhanced everything inside it.

A giant crimson cross pierced through the war fortress. The compressed spiritual energy and burning blood erupted upon it, and the effects of the various runes were also enhanced by the Cross Scepter, both in potency and range.

The blood inside the war fortress, influenced by the enhanced Blood Burning, also began to burn rapidly. Burning along with it were the monsters inside and near the war fortress.

Under the influence of the various runes, the compressed spiritual energy produced different effects:

Cutting, Alienation, Synthesis, Berserk, Shaping, Stitching, Collapse!
