Global Survival: I Got the D-Rank Personnel Simulator

”Only you guys? It seems my fishing skills are really average. I thought I could catch a spiritual energy user of a slightly higher tier.”

Lin Ye said disappointedly.

The cultists didn’t waste words and directly fired a shot at Lin Ye.

Bang!

The bullet was deflected by the spiritual energy shield, hitting no one.

”Three tier four spiritual energy users dare to come after me? What gave you the courage? Your deity?”

Lin Ye expanded his mental energy into the distance, trying to find the high-ranking cultists who sent them as scouts, but found nothing.

”Shoot quickly!”

The lead cultist realized things were getting out of control and finally pulled the trigger on Lin Ye.

Other cultists also fired at Lin Ye. Chaotic, intense gunshots echoed through the camp, but all bullets were deflected by the spiritual energy shield. These low-tier spiritual energy firearms simply couldn’t penetrate the spiritual energy shield Lin Ye had newly mastered.”I really can’t use the spiritual energy within my body right now, and I can only use mental energy for one minute, but that minute is enough for me to kill you dozens of times.”

Lin Ye tilted his head slightly, and compressed spiritual energy blades appeared behind those cultists, piercing through the vital points of the parasitic plants within their bodies.

The three tier four cultists weren’t killed instantly. The parasitic plants within their bodies stubbornly prolonged their lives, but this was meaningless because their surroundings and wounds were filled with the blood of spiritual energy users.

”Goodbye.”

Lin Ye ignited the blood within their bodies. The violent energy blasted them into fragments.

Shen Yue and Master Li tried to take advantage of the chaos to capture two students as hostages, but two compressed spiritual energy blades precisely pierced through the vital parts of the parasitic plants within their bodies.

Lin Ye also conveniently dealt with the alienated plants hidden in the bus.

The surrounding students were completely stunned. This was their first time witnessing such a terrifying scene.

Lin Ye found five cards of different colors near the corpses—one each of white, green, blue, pink, and purple.

[Purple Card--Mission]

[Using this card grants a random mission. Completing the mission provides system rewards]

[Note: After the event ends, uncompleted missions will lower the survivor’s system evaluation, while completed missions will improve it]

Lin Ye directly crushed the purple card.

[Acquired Random Mission: Cleanse Cult Base]

[Cleanse Cult Base]

[The Emerald God Cult has been rooted in the city for a long time. You very cleanly eliminated their city branch. Now they’re coming for you. The grand ceremony is happening tonight, and you and your students are the main attractions of the ceremony. They will come to capture you and offer you to their deity, no matter where you flee]

[Note: You can only wait to die, or cleanse them completely]

’...Is this really a random mission?’

Lin Ye took out the other cards for a look.

[White Card--Unlock]

[Randomly unlocks one item from the loot space (1/1)]

[Note: Hope you don’t have too much junk in your loot space]

[Green Card--Skill]

[Using this card can summon an otherworldly creature that follows commands (1/1)]

[Note: The user determines this card’s strength]

[Blue Card--Support]

[Using this card can copy one card from a nearby participant (1/1)]

[Note: Your ability is pretty good, now it’s mine]

The remaining pink card was a loot card.

Lin Ye: You can copy enemy skills too?

Victoria: I do have a card that can copy other people’s skills, but the effect isn’t that exaggerated, and the usage conditions are very strict.

Lin Ye crushed the white card and retrieved Dark Dawn from his loot space.

This time he hadn’t brought any junk—every item was carefully selected. Dark Dawn wasn’t the strongest; the Cross Scepter was the Trump Card.

He had considered emptying his loot space and only keeping the Cross Scepter, but he couldn’t come completely naked, plus he needed to bring some medical supplies as backup.

Putting away the cards and Dark Dawn, Lin Ye returned to the center of the camp and said to the students who clearly hadn’t grasped the situation yet:

”Those people were cultists of the Emerald God Cult. The missing students were all captured by them and turned into parasitic materials. I cleansed the cult base in the city. They’re now trying to kill me, and you’re also part of the target. I’m going to cleanse the cult base outside the city while giving you your internship class. You can ask questions now.”

Lin Ye explained the current situation to the students in a very matter-of-fact tone.

”Teacher, are you a high-level spiritual energy user?”

”So the missing students were captured by cultists...”

”Can you deal with the cultists first and then take us back?”

”What happened with Shen Yue?”

...

The students discussed the current situation noisily.

”Quiet. I’m not a high-level spiritual energy user, but I’ll try my best to bring you back alive. You can stay here if you want, but after that you’ll be on your own. If more cultists come, I won’t have time to save you. Both Shen Yue and Master Li were cultists. You should be able to see the parasitic plants inside their bodies.”

Lin Ye began using Shen Yue and Master Li’s corpses to explain the physiological structure of cultists to the students. He had intentionally left two complete corpses earlier.

Afterward, he explained the cultists’ city layout and the massage parlor’s capture process. Two male students looked grave after hearing this.

[Completed one Guidance, randomly obtained one card]

[Obtained one white card]

[White Card--Unlock]

[Removes Spiritual Energy Lockdown for 30 minutes (1/1)]

[Note: Spiritual energy is the foundation of everything]

Perhaps because he had guided more students this time, the card Lin Ye obtained had quite good effects.

After explaining the basic information about the Emerald God Cult to the students, Lin Ye brought them back into the bus and drove toward the town direction.

None of the students were foolish enough to want to stay at the camp.

”Aren’t we returning to the city area now?”

Liu Yawen, sitting near the driver’s seat, asked nervously.

”The ceremony is about to begin. We’d better stay somewhere where we can control the situation, and the internship class isn’t over yet.”

Lin Ye explained.

At that moment, Lin Ye suddenly noticed that the road ahead was blocked by several cars parked sideways in the middle of the road.

Since he couldn’t use mental energy, Lin Ye didn’t crash through directly this time. Instead, he drove the bus off the main road and detoured around from the side.

One of the cars immediately started up and rammed into the middle section of the bus upon seeing this. The other cars also started up and crashed into the bus’s front and rear respectively.

Lin Ye drew Dark Dawn, opened the window, and fired at the first approaching car. His eyesight was excellent, allowing him to clearly see the driver’s position.

Thump!

The bullet penetrated the windshield and blew off the driver’s head.

The drivers of the other cars immediately turned their vehicles around and fled.
