Global Survival: I Got the D-Rank Personnel Simulator

”You can hand it over to the organization once we get to the top, no need to go this hard, right?”

Leo absolutely did not want to die together with these people.

”The organization? I don’t know what you’re talking about... No matter which elevator you take up, you’ll return to the passenger’s own plane. It should be an ore thief from our plane. If it goes up carrying the Core Ore, it will cause security issues for the entire world.”

The Personnel seemed to recognize the girl.

”Damn, so it’s all your side’s problem. Can you not drag others into this? Look, since you don’t want it going up to destroy world peace, then wait until we go up before you die together with it. That way everyone has a bright future. What do you think?”

Old Arthur really wanted to kill this bastard with one swing of his pickaxe.

”How about one of you stays behind to die with it, and I go up with the other three? I think that’s better.”

If there was only one person, the Personnel would probably have chosen to die together with the girl. But now there were five people here, and he couldn’t just watch these four commoners go up.

”That’s impossible. Even if you agreed, we wouldn’t. To be honest with you, we’re all death row prisoners here. No one will sacrifice themselves for others.”

Neil was absolutely certain about this, because if he were forced to stay, he would definitely choose mutual destruction.Lin Ye didn’t waste words and walked straight toward the elevator.

”What are you doing?!”

The Personnel tightened his grip on the transparent ore, still unable to make up his mind.

”Obviously leaving this place. This is the situation now - we’re not going to stay here for you. Arguing further is pointless. Do whatever you want, but stop hesitating.”

Lin Ye pulled open the elevator door and gestured for the others to get in.

”You think I don’t dare?”

The Personnel said through gritted teeth, furious.

”Yes, I’ve seen plenty of trash like you. You don’t have the courage to die for the world together with it. I’m standing right here waiting for you. Are you going to choose mutual destruction or come up with us?”

Lin Ye didn’t close the elevator door or start the elevator. He just stood there watching the Personnel.

Neil glanced at Lin Ye with some admiration and slapped away Leo’s right hand that was secretly reaching for the start button. Only a scam artist like him could appreciate how beautifully Lin Ye was playing this psychological game. The other party was clearly being swayed.

If they hurried to start the elevator now, the other party would definitely choose mutual destruction out of impulse.

The Personnel tightly gripped the transparent ore, but ultimately still lacked the courage to crush it.

He was still young and didn’t want to die in this place together with these commoners.

The moment the young man relaxed his fingers, a pale, delicate little hand grabbed his arm and tore it from his body, like pulling the wing off a roasted chicken.

Lin Ye immediately started the elevator, moving so fast that Leo didn’t even react.

”Ahhhh! My arm!”

The Personnel let out a short, sharp scream before the girl tore off his head.

The girl tried to pick up the transparent ore from the severed hand, only to find that the transparent ore had already shattered.

The Personnel hadn’t told the girl that the transparent ore had already been activated - it would collapse the moment it left his hand.

What collapsed along with it was the Core Ore inside the girl’s body. The two were connected in some way, which was why the Personnel could threaten the girl with it.

The girl dug out the collapsing Core Ore from her body and threw it into the distance, then quickly rushed toward the rising elevator, jumping up and grabbing onto the bottom of the elevator.

”Sigh, how could there be such trash? I overestimated him.”

Lin Ye sighed. He could feel something hanging from the bottom of the elevator, and he didn’t need to think to know what it was.

”What do we do? That monster caught up!”

Neil shouted.

”What you should worry about isn’t it. Right before closing the door, I saw the transparent ore in that idiot’s hand shatter.”

The monster below hadn’t broken into the elevator, so Lin Ye could roughly guess what would happen next.

”Damn! Mutual destruction?”

Old Arthur understood too, immediately shrinking into the corner of the elevator.

”Damn it! That bastard!”

Leo and Neil also hid in the elevator corner, leaving only Lin Ye standing in the middle of the elevator.

He didn’t think they could avoid a danger that even the girl needed to prepare to withstand. They were like being at the center of a nuclear explosion - position didn’t matter, what mattered was the nature of the danger.

Before the crisis arrived, Lin Ye jumped up and grabbed the top of the elevator. He wanted to check the others’ conditions to consider how to respond.

The others looked speechlessly at Lin Ye who had climbed up alone. They wanted to climb up too, but it was already too late.

The elevator shook as a wave of energy very familiar to Lin Ye passed by. He had been lamenting earlier that there was no spiritual energy here, and now spiritual energy had arrived.

With a medium available, Lin Ye’s mental energy instantly left his body and spread outward. He immediately grasped the current situation.

’So the so-called Core Ore is ore that can forcibly absorb spiritual energy. This single piece of ore absorbed all the spiritual energy from the entire mining area, even affecting the organization base above.’

’Now that the Core Ore has shattered, the spiritual energy compressed to a certain degree inside is about to erupt. That earlier wave was just a small amount of spiritual energy leaking from the cracks. What comes next is the real major eruption.’

Lin Ye let go and dropped down. Before he could make any preparations, the spiritual energy eruption had already approached the bottom of the elevator.

’A compressed spiritual energy eruption of this magnitude would tear everything here to shreds. I have to protect the elevator. This thing is the bridge connecting the mining area and the organization’s plane. Without it, I can’t return to the plane where the organization is located.’

”Adaptation!”

Lin Ye used his Special Ability. Only by relying on this skill could he survive in this environment.

The bottom of the elevator was instantly crushed by the violent compressed spiritual energy. Lin Ye braced his limbs against the elevator’s inner walls, forcibly absorbing the surging compressed spiritual energy into his body.

The other three were lucky - they followed Lin Ye’s example and climbed to the top of the elevator. The compressed spiritual energy below was absorbed by Lin Ye, allowing them to narrowly escape disaster.

The girl hung from one side of the elevator, having now transformed into a miner composed of various colored ores, leaving nothing behind except the ores.

Lin Ye was forcibly absorbing the compressed spiritual energy surging up from below, with no time to worry about others. Seeing that he had protected the elevator, the girl didn’t attack them.

’So this is what compressed spiritual energy really is...’

With the help of his Special Ability, compressed spiritual energy continuously accumulated within Lin Ye’s body. As the compression level of the spiritual energy increased, the compressed spiritual energy inside him constantly changed its structure. Lin Ye silently memorized this process and experienced his body’s entire process of absorbing the compressed spiritual energy.

This was an extremely precious opportunity. Without his Special Ability and the compressed spiritual energy eruption caused by the Core Ore shattering, he would never have been able to absorb compressed spiritual energy of this level into his body.

’If my main body could also adapt to compressed spiritual energy of this level, then even a high-level spiritual energy user wouldn’t be able to withstand a single punch from me!’

In this process, Lin Ye felt the aesthetic beauty of numerical values.
