Global Survival: I Got the D-Rank Personnel Simulator

Seeing this scene, the remaining savages began to distance themselves from Lin Ye. They threw bone spears from afar, each one aimed at Lin Ye’s vital points.

Lin Ye predicted the trajectories of the bone spears, drew Dark Dawn, and traded fire with them. Each shot could blow up a savage.

Simultaneously, Lin Ye controlled the Blood Sphere to shoot out blood spikes. Although the blood spikes weren’t as powerful as Dark Dawn, as long as they hit a vital point, they could take down a savage.

The number of savages kept decreasing. Some savages fled back to the camp and left this place through the portal.

It didn’t take long for Lin Ye to kill all the remaining savages. Just as he was preparing to enter the camp, a Seventh-tier spiritual energy user arrived at the savage camp through the portal.

It was an old savage with messy hair all over its head. It looked to be in very poor condition, with illness sapping its life away. Even if Lin Ye didn’t act, it was about to die anyway.

Lin Ye very decisively distanced himself from the savage camp. With the boost from spiritual energy and various runes, his speed when running away was far faster than when he had arrived.

An enemy that was about to die any second clearly had major problems. Lin Ye had no desire to go up and fight it to the death. Even if he won such a fight, it would be a loss.

The old savage clearly didn’t expect Lin Ye to run away so decisively. It stared resentfully in the direction Lin Ye had fled, letting out an angry roar.

After eating a midnight snack made from his reserve food supplies, Lin Ye cautiously approached the savage camp. He carefully sensed the interior of the camp. There wasn’t a single savage inside, only an emerald green portal standing in the center of the camp.’Ran away? Pretty fast.’

Not seeing the old savage’s corpse made Lin Ye slightly uneasy. But even as he entered the savage camp, he received no attacks.

’Really gone?’

Lin Ye didn’t approach that portal. Theoretically speaking, as long as the enemy was proficient in certain spatial techniques, they could attack Lin Ye through the portal. He had done similar things himself.

There weren’t any valuable items in the savage camp. Lin Ye focused his senses on the portal at the camp’s center, trying to find a way to close it.

Lin Ye had a basic understanding of spatial knowledge, but he only knew some things related to connecting two Planes. He had absolutely no idea how to close a portal.

’Transmission... space...’

Lin Ye sensed the overall structure of the portal, attempting to influence its operation with his mental energy.

Actually, he could also try to deal with the portal through violent means. But to do that, he would have to use attacks capable of interfering with space itself.

After some time, Lin Ye finally figured out the surface structure of the portal. He found the switch to close it on the structure.

Activating the switch, the portal quickly disappeared.

Where the portal vanished, two semi-transparent white crystals appeared. These crystals seemed to be some kind of spatial material used to construct portals.

Lin Ye picked up the crystals and placed them in his loot space. Without the portal, this savage camp wouldn’t spawn any more savages.

After dealing with the savage camp, Lin Ye didn’t return to the previous soldier’s base. He planned to go to nearby red circles to deal with other portals.

Just as Lin Ye left the savage camp and headed towards the next red circle base, he saw an old savage lying on the path he intended to take.

Because its aura was so faint it was almost non-existent, and it was using some technique to conceal its aura, Lin Ye only saw it with his naked eye after he had already walked out of the camp.

This time, the old savage didn’t give Lin Ye a chance to run. It tore open its own body, muttering something under its breath.

A colorful juvenile beast crawled out from inside the old savage’s body. It glanced at Lin Ye, who had turned and was already running, then began devouring the old man’s corpse.

Lin Ye quickly distanced himself from the savage camp. He felt that juvenile beast was very troublesome, so he just ran away directly.

As for whether that juvenile beast would grow into something even more dangerous, that wasn’t something Lin Ye needed to consider. He just needed to kill enemies here as much as possible. If he couldn’t win a fight, he could return to the Shelter. The other party couldn’t possibly chase him into the Shelter.

Lin Ye took a detour and approached the nearby red circle base. A cave leading deep underground appeared in his field of view.

’An underground burrow? What kind of creature’s nest is this? Could it be Abyssal insectoids?’

Lin Ye cautiously lay on the ground and approached the cave. He could sense the intricate underground terrain structure. Some brown beetles covered in flesh spikes appeared within his perception.

’Spike-shelled bugs? No, no Abyssal aura... seems like some variant of Abyssal insectoids...’

Lin Ye secretly entered the cave. He didn’t really like bugs, but this kind of complex terrain wasn’t a big problem for him.

The cave also grew large amounts of earthy-yellow net-like plants. These net-like plants seemed to be food the bugs preferred.

Lin Ye bypassed the areas where bugs gathered and infiltrated deep into the cave. The insect nest grew various different types of bugs. These bugs grew very quickly, with a batch crawling out of the nest and heading to the battlefield every so often.

These bugs seemed to lack sensory abilities. They had no reaction to Lin Ye, who was only a wall away, focusing all their attention on gnawing the net-like plants.

Lin Ye explored the structurally complex underground insect nest like this. After some time, he successfully reached the deepest part of the nest. A massive mother bug lay there incubating eggs, with the portal standing right in front of it.

’This is going too smoothly...’

Lin Ye felt that such smooth progress definitely meant there was a problem. But the portal was right there. He couldn’t just go back because of a bad feeling.

’The spatial fluctuations are obvious, the portal isn’t the problem. So the problem must be the mother bug.’

Lin Ye decided to leave immediately after closing the portal, staying far away from the mother bug throughout the entire process.

Because he needed to get within a certain distance to close the portal, Lin Ye carefully inched closer to it.

The mother bug was completely engrossed in incubating eggs, not noticing Lin Ye’s approach at all.

”Dammit, at least pay some attention to me! Send a few bugs over just for show! With you like this, I don’t even dare to close the portal!”

Lin Ye stopped hiding his form. He stood openly in front of the mother bug and spoke loudly.

The mother bug remained engrossed in incubating eggs, completely ignoring Lin Ye, who was shouting right in front of it.

”Alright, alright, playing it like this, huh?”

Lin Ye stepped forward and used a spiritual energy blade to stab and ruin one of the eggs, then very arrogantly stomped on it a few times.

The mother bug’s body began to tremble violently. But this trembling only lasted for half a second before it returned to its state of complete indifference.

Lin Ye wanted to use his mental energy to sense the mother bug’s interior, but he came into contact with some kind of mental protection.

If he forcibly broke through this mental protection with his mental energy, it might cause damage to his own mind.

”Then you keep incubating your eggs. I won’t disturb you anymore.”

Lin Ye turned around, intending to leave the insect nest. A large number of various bugs rushed towards the incubation area, and the mother bug behind him also rose up to look at Lin Ye.

”Close... portal... or... die...”

An intermittent voice came from within the mother bug.
