Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 2424: Chapter 7: Country of Taia Merges into the Earth Alliance!

The citizens of the Country of Taia, obviously, didn’t have much resistance toward whether Taia should join the Earth Alliance, because Taia had almost been wiped out several times in the past, and had been attacked by other forces multiple times. For the people of Taia, having a big brother– or sister–like presence that everyone acknowledges is something they’re more than happy to see.

Not to mention, everyone also knows very well in their hearts that after doing this, their connection with Lord Elder Giant Mosquito will definitely become even closer. That way they’ll get more protection.

”Alright, go share the news. I’m going to go back into seclusion for a while.”

Jia Yan smiled, then withdrew into Subspace.

This time he defeated the assassin and even forced the other Galaxy Levels to retreat. You could call his battle merits glorious—so much so that even he himself felt he was getting a bit too impressive.

But all of this was still not enough, because considering that, in the future, there might be someone like Predecessor Tianji, and other Galaxy Levels or even Territory Masters coming to besiege him—like a blade hanging over his head—Jia Yan couldn’t help feeling faintly anxious and wanted to quickly push his strength up.

Very soon, Jia Yan, who had just appeared before all the citizens of Taia, disappeared once more.

But this brief appearance, the shockwaves it caused, and the drastic shift in power due to his battle results, had an extremely far-reaching impact.

In the Northern Star Domain, many forces and nations that had previously paid lip service to Taia while secretly disobeying it, in that instant no longer dared show the slightest resistance toward Taia’s leadership and orders.

You have to know, the Four Great Galaxy Levels made a move, yet one of them was killed by that Giant Mosquito Guardian of Taia, and the other three didn’t even dare let out a fart before fleeing in disgrace. In the eyes of such a Strong One, what the hell are the other forces and countries in Taia’s territory supposed to count for?

So they absolutely did not dare oppose Taia anymore. With such a Super Powerhouse present, don’t even mention Taia wanting to Devour the Northern Star Domain—if it expanded further outward, even Devouring the entire vast region around it, the Galaxy Level existence who rules this Starfield probably wouldn’t dare say a word.

After all, that existence seems to be just an ordinary Galaxy Level.

That was the situation in Taia. The entire country was rapidly changing, and no one dared utter a single word of refusal against Taia’s Leadership.

As for places not belonging to Taia—that is, in the several large Starfields near the Northern Star Domain where the news of Jia Yan defeating those Four Great Galaxy Levels first spread the fastest...

”What? Jia Yan actually defeated those four guys, and even killed one of them. He’s only just reached the Galaxy Level... Th-this Evolutionary Creature really is as terrifying as the ancient rumors say?”

In the Starfield closest to the Northern Star Domain, that Galaxy Level existence who had previously been forced by Jia Yan to sign the lease-transfer agreement for the Northern Star Domain, after being shocked by Jia Yan’s strength, only felt his scalp go numb, and completely lost any desire to go cause trouble for Jia Yan.

Originally, he had planned to gather a few other Galaxy Level existences and go stir up trouble for Jia Yan. After all, the Northern Star Domain, while not his most important territory, still concerned his face. But now, seeing that Jia Yan could defeat a whole group of Galaxy Levels, even if he gathered some Star River initial order existences on par with the assassin and the others to demand an explanation, they’d just get beaten back by Jia Yan, maybe even lose their lives. He’d have to be insane to go.

”Then, Lord, what do we do now? This Jia Yan is rising a bit too fast. He’s in the Northern Star Domain, and we can’t be sure that once this guy restores his Galactic-level Strength, he won’t make a move on our Starfield. After all, his Evolutionary Creature Species has never been one that others acknowledge. I’ve heard that in the legends of this Species, every time a Galaxy-level evolutionary creature appears, it sets off a bloody storm.”

One of that Galaxy Level’s think-tank Subordinates gave his opinion.

”Exactly. I’ve looked into these Evolutionary Creatures too. Their records really don’t contain any past worth acknowledging. If this Jia Yan goes into seclusion again and gets complete Star River Level Strength, then he might... might fully be able to rival you, Lord. If he invades us again then, won’t we be in trouble?”

”Heh, I understand what you’re saying. And don’t butter me up. I’ve had dealings with that assassin before—our combat power is at best evenly matched. So right now, Jia Yan is already capable of completely outclassing me. If he goes into seclusion again and, like you say, improves even further, then I’ll definitely be killed by him in a flash.”

In the mist, the Galaxy Level’s wariness toward Jia Yan grew more and more obvious.

But no matter how much anger he felt toward Jia Yan, all he could do now was force it down.

Because battles between Galaxy Levels are absolutely not something where you can easily make up for a disadvantage once you fall behind. At the Stellar Level, you can still rely on technology weapons or call friends and such to balance the scales. But at the Galaxy Level, all of that becomes extremely difficult, because Galaxy Level existences are already very hard to find in the Universe. If you want help, that’s a huge personal favor; ordinary relationships won’t lift a finger for you—let alone when the target is someone like Jia Yan, who has killed other Galaxy Levels and even survived a siege by Four Great Galaxies, killing and driving them off?

As for technology weapons, they’re even harder to use against Star Activity Level existences. At the Galaxy Level, it’s not that no technology weapon can threaten them, but that Galaxy Levels already have something like the legendary ”sixth sense”. Large-scale, high combat power technology weapons need time to be deployed and will be sensed long in advance by a Galaxy Level existence. And smaller-scale weapons are ineffective against Galaxy Levels. As a result, Galaxy Levels are basically not something technology weapons can handle.

”Enough. I’ll go see that person above and hear what he has to say.”

The Galaxy Level existence in the mist finally made up his mind.

The ”above” he spoke of was actually a Stellar Middle-order Powerhouse.

To him, this powerhouse was like a superior, because the Starfield he governed belonged to that superior. But in truth, their relationship was not as simple as superior and Subordinate.

Because Galaxy Absolute existences all have their pride. This Early Galaxy Level Powerhouse would never just hand his Starfield over to someone else, even if he’s weaker.

So their relationship was just nominally superior and Subordinate. This Star River Early Stage existence only had to hand over resources and money to that superior at set intervals. Everything else in this Starfield still belonged to him. It was just like paying protection fees.

And now, asking that existence for help would be an enormous favor, and would require huge concessions in exchange for any help at all.

He had no choice either, because once Jia Yan emerges from seclusion, he can’t be sure whether this Evolutionary Creature will suddenly raise his strength by another notch. If they really fight then, he won’t have any power to fight back.

”Fine, I’ll treat it as spending money to avert disaster. I’ll pay this money and resources, but that Evolutionary Creature must be wiped out for me.”

The Galaxy Level existence’s dread of Jia Yan was extremely obvious.

And it wasn’t just this Galaxy Level who had been exploited by Jia Yan. In the Starfields near Taia, several other Galaxy Level existences also felt the pressure coming from the Evolutionary Creature.

One after another, they discussed countermeasures. Though none of them, like that Galaxy Level, went to ask the Galaxy Middle Stage or even Territory Master existences above them for help, they each made their own preparations.

Farther away, such as in the Orion Arm or in the Assassin Starfield’s home territory, the news only reached them a full half month after everything had already happened.
