Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 2414: Chapter 2: Outsmarting the Great Enemy (Part 2)

”But it’s not feasible to simply drive them away. Upon reaching the Galaxy Level, it’s essential to begin building one’s prestige. My prestige, having just reached the Galaxy Level, and being an Evolutionary Creature, is not easy to manage in the surrounding Starfield. Thus, this first battle, if I can make these Galaxy Level Entities flee, will present some chance of causing others to fear me, even discarding their aversion towards Evolutionary Creatures. This requires a formidable display of strength to deter other Galaxy Level entities from acting rashly, while simultaneously ensuring that those at the Star River Middle Stage, and even Domain Master’s Existence, will not pursue me due to my intimidating presence, needing me to carefully maneuver numerous balances within.”

Jia Yan silently refined his understanding of his body while analyzing the current situation.

Externally, the Four Great Galaxy Level beings, after waiting for Jia Yan for a while, began doubting the assassin’s analysis.

”Do you think Jia Yan will really come out? It’s been so long and he hasn’t appeared yet. Could he have left through the eighth-degree subspace? We don’t have much time to wait for him.”

The assassin, criticized by other Galaxy Level Entities, felt a bit ashamed, especially as he confidently asserted that Jia Yan might emerge again for a battle, but now Jia Yan hasn’t shown up.

”Well, I don’t know either. Jia Yan, the guy, shouldn’t have this kind of character. Last time I fought him, he was a Peak of Stellar existence, yet he held onto the thought of determining a victor against me. Now he has reached Galaxy Level; one wouldn’t expect him to retreat easily.”

He felt helpless; his earlier statements were made with some hope because upon witnessing Jia Yan’s rapid promotion and the deployment of his Subspace Talent, he knew unless he enlisted another Middle-Level Stellar entity to aid in an encounter, beating Jia Yan, now stabilized at the Galaxy Level, was improbable. Initially, at his peak Stellar status, Jia Yan already had the upper hand; now at Galaxy Level, what chance did he have?

Thus, whether for personal benefit or for the other Galaxy Levels who might face Jia Yan’s future revenge, he was resolved to wait a bit longer.

Unfortunately, Jia Yan defied his expectations and had already left?

This was possible; after all, just reaching Galaxy Level, it was wise to first stabilize one’s strength before anything else. As for the Country of Taia? Let it go to ruin; such a minor Civilization.

”Forget it. If he doesn’t appear, we’ll destroy the Country of Taia and then leave. But upon returning, we must discuss our defense strategy; otherwise, with Jia Yan’s power reaching the Galaxy Level, it’s uncertain whether any of us could singly fend him off.”

The assassin sighed heavily.

As soon as he uttered these words, the other three Galaxy Level Entities similarly felt an acute sense of frustration, realizing they might have picked a major hassle...

Bang!

In a certain area of regular space, an earth-shattering noise suddenly erupted.

”What?”

”Sub-space fluctuations; this is bad, Jia Yan is here again.”

”Quick, defend!”

The Galaxy Level Entities, after all, being at Galaxy Level, promptly reacted.

Their first task was identifying the origin from which Jia Yan’s attack emerged.

Once clarified, four Strong Ones simultaneously mobilized to block Jia Yan’s attack, then counterattacked to annihilate him.

This was their plan.

Yet, the assassin turned his head towards the direction of the fluctuation, and his face contorted with fury upon realizing Jia Yan was attacking him.

Clearly, this fellow harbored intense resentment towards the assassin as it was he who attracted the four Galaxy Levels; hence, Jia Yan naturally targeted him as the foremost threat to eliminate.

”You wish!”

The assassin exerted himself fully, resisting Jia Yan’s strike.

This time, he truly burst forth with all his might, unleashing his total explosive force instantaneously.

Having fought Jia Yan once before, when Jia Yan had just achieved Peak Stellar status, he could already confront the assassin directly; now at Galaxy Level Initial Stage equal to himself, there was no way he didn’t realize that without fighting desperately, extinction at Jia Yan’s hands was likely?

Hence, he unleashed all his power, not holding back at all.

Bang!

This time, distinct from their previous interaction; before, Jia Yan dared not confront the full force of a Nebula Level directly, but things had changed this time. Jia Yan not only confronted head-on, but it was evident he wasn’t even utilizing his full force.

He needed to preserve some energy to deal with the other Galaxy Levels rushing in a moment later.

”Hmph, underestimating me!”

The assassin’s expression altered, feeling Jia Yan was confronting him contemptuously, regardless of familiarity with his moves; was underestimation necessary?

He discreetly increased his strength a bit, intending to exhibit what underestimating him would result in.

Sadly, despite wanting Jia Yan to witness, it didn’t have a substantial effect; his strength was almost entirely anticipated by Jia Yan, thanks to their previous encounter.

Even though now he deployed all reserved tactics from the prior engagement, such as doubling his force in one attack, using the Shadow Back Assassination, and other advanced combat skills.

Yet it proved futile; the advanced skills were mainly for dodging opponents or counter-attacking using strategic elements. Direct confrontation with Jia Yan didn’t lend much strategic aid.

Regarding doubling attack power, Jia Yan seemingly accounted for it earlier.

So the attacking force he employed matched the assassin’s current attack power precisely, causing both to simultaneously recoil slightly.

The assassin retreating was manageable, but Jia Yan withdrawing slightly resulted in him falling within the attack range of another Galaxy Level Entity behind.

This exemplifies the terror of Galaxy Levels. Despite lacking extensive cooperation, inherently their combat power ensures outcomes that far exceed many Stellar Galaxy Level Powerhouses who’ve collaborated for years.

”Die!”

The entity resembling a pig-headed Galaxy Level Entity unleashed a claw, nearly tearing the sky asunder.

This Galaxy Level entity was a Ruler of a massive Starfield where nearly every creature possessed bulkiness, including him. So, when striking, nothing else rolled out, just strength.

His power emphasized strength, which led him to believe if Jia Yan dared to clash directly in a test of strength like with the assassin, he could surely wound Jia Yan gravely with but one strike.

Against other Galaxy Level Strong Ones, in battle, they dared not engage him in such a manner. Only if Jia Yan hadn’t yet recognized his prominent strength would he likely wound Jia Yan in a single blow, securing an upper hand for the Four Great Galaxy Levels.

But contrary to expectations, Jia Yan, brimming with confidence about his combat power post-promotion, which led him to bluntly engage with the assassin directly, now evaded the pig-headed Galaxy Level’s assault.

No choice of contest!

”What?”

Having dodged the attack, Jia Yan deftly maneuvered beside the pig-headed creature, internally chuckling lightly.

”As expected, this fellow indeed possesses tremendous power, but among Galaxy Levels his speed is relatively slow. Why am I aware of this? Friend, you resemble the pigs from Earth too closely; how could I not know?”
