Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 2289: Chapter 38: Friction!

”Oh.”

Luo Longsi nodded, although she wanted to say that it was impossible to reach the Peak of Stellar in her lifetime, but considering her current progress, there might be a slight chance, so she nodded and did not pursue it further.

The two Stellar-level creatures continued to fly forward.

The place they were heading to was the border that had already started its interchange.

A decade ago, during the Genius Battle, the Empire swallowed this dark breath due to Jia Yan’s avatar’s intervention, but whether they would seize this opportunity to explode this dark breath a decade later, that was something even Jia Yan didn’t know.

”Hmph, how bold you Orion Arm people are, obviously the border should have advanced by another hundred million kilometers ten years ago, yet you dare say here?”

”What? It was clearly this place, the Boundary Star we established back then is still here.”

”What Boundary Star, that small Meteorite area? Such things drift along with the Universe, don’t you Orion Arm people understand such simple basic knowledge? No wonder you’re so primitive.”

”Bastard, say one more word? Do you believe we could show you the terror of Orion Arm right now?”

”Haha, primitives are primitives, they actually want to start a fight, but do you dare? Go ahead, fight?”

At the border, many Orion Arm Fleet, which had been garrisoned at the territory abandoned by the Empire in the Half-Light-Year Zone for ten years, were being provoked by the Empire’s troops.

They kept demanding more territorial concessions, even though there is already a highly sophisticated means of observing regions in the Universe, and even the border observation means here can be precise to the micron level, they still insist on Orion Arm conceding territory more than a hundred million kilometers away, an extremely distant distance.

”Get lost, if your Empire continues to provoke, the consequences of restarting the war will all be your Empire’s responsibility, you haven’t forgotten how you were defeated back then, have you? Moreover, we have all the records in hand now, if war breaks out again, it will solely be your responsibility, and the international community won’t sympathize with you.”

The Orion Arm side has always been very restrained, especially certain high levels who had already anticipated such situations; they did not hesitate to slightly retreat some unimportant territories for the enemy.

After all, in the Universe, many areas have no planets or materials, so retreating such territories would be meaningless even if given to the enemy.

Even if some areas were vital routes, there was no choice.

Thus, several Orion Arm fleets retreated over and over, while the Empire kept pressing forward.

The problem is that some places can retreat, but there are places where retreating is impossible.

For instance, a Biochemical Star Domain Planet slightly leaning towards Orion Arm during the war period.

This planet is probably the closest to the border, and it’s right on the line, claiming it belongs to either side is plausible. Both parties have debated over it for a long time, even conducting no fewer than six or seventy meetings and negotiations there.

”Territorial integrity is no small matter, please rest assured, our Star Domain Administration under Orion Arm will absolutely not let our territory be stolen inch by inch by those Empire bastards, nor let Aimei Star fall into enemy hands, even if a war must be waged, we will spare no expense.”

The ruler of this planet was a mid-level Military Officer from a fleet on this vast border of the Starfield, constantly giving speeches on the planet’s external platform.

Don’t think such a huge planet, with an area as large as Earth’s, would draw too much attention from the Orion’s Arm Army; similar situations abound along this incredibly long border, while higher-level Military Officers are focused on more important matters, leaving this small planet managed by some mid-level Military Officers.

”This Orion’s Arm Military Officer seems to come from that Earth, though his military rank is not high, but he is an Earth person. We know Earth was once under the watch of the Mosquito Patriarch, so speaking in his name, we surely can trust him, can’t we?”

”Believe it, what’s the alternative? Recently, ships heading inland are fully booked, prices have soared more than tenfold, we without money or power can’t leave even if we want to.”

”Haha, I don’t really believe it. That Orion Arm was our enemy initially, would they care about such a small Original Star Territory planet like ours?”

The people of the Biochemical Star Region, despite choosing Orion Arm over the Empire, don’t feel very satisfied with Orion Arm’s military or governance decisions, it’s just a matter of no choice.

In fact, many Biochemical Star Domain citizens are still dreaming of one day returning the Biochemical Star Domain to its former self-governing state, with even many destructive organizations or more radical groups active around.

Thus, the people of the Biochemical Star Domain never truly trusted Orion Arm’s Military Officers.

Yet, regardless of their disbelief, ultimately, in this vast Starry Sky, Orion’s Arm High Level still acts as the final arbiters.

So when the whole planet saw a vast dark mass of Imperial Battleships approaching, citizens across the planet exclaimed, then prayed that the Orion Arm ’Earth’ Military Officer could turn his promises into reality.

But in truth, that Lord Military Officer was stunned into silence now.
