Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 2282: Chapter 34: Time Flows Again!

”Amazing, we inside the Orion Arm actually won such an important battle, it’s like the Empire isn’t so powerful after all?”

”Shut up, how did you become part of the Orion Arm? Aren’t we from the Biochemical Starfield?”

”What Biochemical Starfield is there now? Our Biochemical Starfield has long been in name only; half is the Empire’s and half is the Orion Arm’s. Everyone in this Universe knows, are you living in the past?”

The victory of the Orion Arm not only shocked the surrounding Star Forces but also provided a huge opportunity for unity within Orion Arm and the Biochemical Starfield. After all, although things are better inside the Orion Arm, many creatures lack confidence in their strength, and this victory has provided a potent morale boost.

As for the Biochemical Starfield, even more so; previously within the Biochemical Starfield, the rule of the Orion Arm was not as fiercely opposed as resistance against the Empire, but there was definitely no genuine submission. Many were thinking of driving out the Orion Arm someday and restoring their own rule over the Biochemical Starfield.

But now, this victory has shown the creatures of the Biochemical Starfield the frightening talent of the Orion Arm, making them aware of the deep power of the Orion Arm’s Strong Ones.

No matter if the Geniuses were invited from outside, as long as they’re part of the Orion Arm, they’re part of the Orion Arm. After all, the Orion Arm had defeated the Biochemical Starfield before using all external creatures, like Jia Yan’s subordinates, and still took over the entire Biochemical Starfield.

In true warfare, who cares whether you’re a creature from the Orion Arm? If you can’t defeat these creatures, you just can’t defeat them.

Of course, the Empire has conceded, with another reason being that some of them recognized the victorious creatures who participated in the ’Semi-permanent Star Level’ Genius Battlefield; a large part might actually be those who crushed their Empire during the border war five years ago, meaning they are Stellar Level, not Semi-permanent Star Level!

Those creatures are still in the Orion Arm, so if the Empire really wants to pursue this issue, whether they can produce evidence that they are not Semi-permanent Star Level is uncertain, but at least when they begin to battle, with the Empire’s current strength amassed at the border, it’s uncertain if they can do anything against the Orion Arm.

Thus, the Genius Battlefield ended easily under the silent acquiescence of the Empire.

However, the Orion Arm and half of the Biochemical Starfield citizens don’t really understand this; they only know that Jia Yan and his subordinates led the presumed extremely weak Geniuses to victory in the Genius Battlefield, not only not losing a half-light-year of territory but occupying the enemy’s half-light-year instead, which is thrilling.

”No, why didn’t we send people over to occupy?”

”We did, but only a very small part was sent.”

”Why is this?”

As the citizens rejoiced, they noticed with surprise that the Orion Arm only dispatched a very small part of the army to accept the newly occupied half-light-year territory.

This confused everyone greatly.

However, people had nothing much to say about what goes on above.

No one knew that secretly, the Empire and the Orion Arm had already made a ten-year pact, and because of this, the Empire was unlikely to start a war before this period, at least it wasn’t worthwhile. The chances of war weren’t big until the Orion Arm exposed their weaknesses.

But Jia Yan and those in the Orion Arm had no clue that the Empire had more intelligence about Jia Yan than they themselves knew, intelligence that was already gathered before, but the Empire didn’t report it because they thought they could handle the Orion Arm and Jia Yan’s group of subordinates.

Now, five years later, the Empire gradually realized they were facing Evolutionary Creatures that were possibly indeed those legendary Evolutionary Creatures from history, especially after reaching the Stellar level, seeming to transcend typical creatures; having achieved Stellar level, this Evolutionary Creature seems to be beyond ordinary Stellar-level ranges.

Especially in the Genius Battlefield, where a Stellar-level creature was directly suppressed by a creature without even showing its face, this stunned the Empire.

To suppress a Stellar Class Junior creature without meeting it face to face, this was something the Empire lacked among its strong ones.

Given this, they changed their previous strategy, directly reporting this information upward.

Of course, as details about the Evolutionary Creature’s power were vague, whether this information would be emphasized within the ultra-strong Galaxy Level Forces was uncertain for the Empire.

In practice, such reports rarely gain attention.

It’s not that Evolutionary Creatures aren’t terrifying, but because in various parts of the Universe, there are their own problems, similar myths of Evolutionary Creatures; some species are descendants of terrifying predatory races, developing now, engaging in battle with major forces, or warriors like Ru Bi, extremely formidable, carrying out guerrilla warfare against major forces, etc.

The larger the territory of a force, the more such news there is. For them, although the Empire’s report is important, they haven’t seen even the ’shadow’ of this Evolutionary Creature, not sure if it even exists, so it’s less likely they’ll emphasize it.

”Alright, send out a squad, go investigate at the Genius Battlefield, report back if there are findings. But I believe this is just a rumor; even if there are Evolutionary Creatures in the Genius Battlefield, it might just be other creatures using this name for psychological warfare with the Empire. The Empire might only be borrowing our name to help them fight, causing us harm, so let’s investigate thoroughly first.”

”Yes, Lord.”

A Stellar-level late stage creature, within some unnamed Prosperous Star Domain, conveyed the Empire’s message response and strategy to the subordinates.

”Okay, this Empire message is over, next, next.”

The Stellar-level late stage creature was indifferent to the Empire’s message, turning slightly to look at other intelligence nearby, and upon seeing still a lot left, smiled wryly.

”Ah, doing this intelligence gathering work, easy as it is, it’s too troublesome. I wish I’d gone with other late-stage friends to wage conquest.”

Indeed, this was the response of the ’Galaxy Level’ forces far behind the Empire...

Even small Earth has so many issues, not to mention the huge interstellar forces. The Galaxy Level Forces govern territories far beyond Earth’s imagination, a massive territory requiring unimaginable effort to operate, so the Empire’s small-scale news wasn’t given significant weight.

”Apparently, the higher-ups seem to not care much for our news. As such, let’s wait and see for another ten years; meanwhile, perhaps we can find detailed information on this Evolutionary Creature’s power and true body, and if we do, the higher-ups might send people down.”

”Certainly, this Evolutionary Creature is very cunning; initially appearing without revealing much of the true body, even prior revelation inside the Orion Arm was too weak to warrant reporting.”

”Ah, maybe they already know the news, which is why they hide so well. Anyway, let’s wait and see.”

The generals on the Empire side, somewhat frustratedly received feedback from higher forces, accepting the fact that Galaxy Level Forces wouldn’t yet intervene in this region’s warfare.

Meanwhile, as they waited, time quickly flowed by.

In the subspace, mystical flows continued.

”Hmm, my power seems to have really reached a barrier...”
