Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 2279: Chapter 33: You’ll Get It Back in Ten Years?

”The Empire retreated?”

”Did they actually retreat just like that?”

”Could it be that our geniuses from Orion Arm won in that competition? That’s impossible, are our geniuses stronger than the Empire’s?”

Throughout the entire battle line, due to Orion Arm’s slower communication capability than the Imperial Army’s, when the Imperial Army’s entire defense line started retreating, only then did the Orion Arm troops react.

”Hmm? They retreated...”

Several of Jia Yan’s subordinates showed some emotions at this moment. Being middle-level stellar beings, and having advanced further under Jia Yan’s guidance over these five years, they’re not afraid of any upcoming battles. However, they also feel that if it truly escalates, their and Jia Yan’s strengths will be further exposed, which they do not wish for.

Yet the fact is, even though they don’t want to fight, it can’t be helped; delaying five years is already a happy outcome for them. They even considered whether to let the Empire win a battle or two in the conflict stage, otherwise, if their strength is exposed, the Empire could directly relay these messages to the Galaxy Level Civilizations above, which would definitely be troubling.

Overall, it’s best to secure as much time as possible.

But what they never expected was their adversary, after the genius battle they thought would be lost, voluntarily retreated?

”No, this only suggests one thing, which is that our side won the genius battle, and not just a small win, possibly a big win, even... Lord Jia Yan himself must have been there, otherwise, why would the Empire retreat so decisively!”

The Jia Yan Squad members seemed to faintly sense Jia Yan’s involvement in this victory. Since they were aware of Jia Yan’s presence on this battle line, the occurrence wasn’t all that surprising.

As a knowledgeable insider, Luo Longsi was not greatly surprised either; if Jia Yan himself didn’t achieve such an effect, wouldn’t that be a joke?

”So, with the Lord operating in such a manner, not only have we secured five years of time, but not even lost any territory. Whether the Empire retreats or not thereafter is irrelevant, as we don’t need that half-light-year, and just require some time for development.”

Luo Longsi understood Jia Yan’s plans; after all, Jia Yan’s power had been increasing rapidly, and everyone knew Jia Yan wanted to secure a peaceful period, fearing not the Empire but the Galaxy Level Forces behind the Empire, and even the ’Territory Master’ forces behind those.

This means, even if Jia Yan currently has the power to annihilate the Empire, he wouldn’t do so and would rather nervously strive to gain more time.

As Luo Longsi mentioned earlier, Jia Yan just returned to Luo Longsi’s base in subspace at a speed incomprehensible to several subordinates and instructed her indifferently.

”Luo Longsi, find a way to secure more time, even if we must hand over that half-light-year we just captured; I only have a little time left until I can make another breakthrough...”

”Um? Lord? Okay.”

Upon hearing Jia Yan’s words, Luo Longsi immediately understood his intentions.

This additional half-light-year becomes a new buffer, and Jia Yan’s recent appearance in the martial competition arena wasn’t without reason. At least for some time, the Empire would feel anxious about his existence.

Even Jia Yan himself knew that the activities he had done in the Outer Star Area, apart from things far away in the Stellar Academy and Divine Spirit Major Domain, could be known by the Empire concerning the happenings in the Genius Battlefield. Hence, Jia Yan had no intention of letting the Empire misunderstand him for being the ’Ancestor of the Giant Mosquito Clan.’

Knowing I’m an Evolutionary Creature, so what? Or even if you know my talent, can you pinpoint the attack timing or my exact strength?

Jia Yan calculates these factors; the Empire cannot deduce Jia Yan’s specific strength. Even if they know Jia Yan is delaying, they would still proceed cautiously. The subsequent cautious time gap allows Jia Yan to make rapid breakthroughs before the Empire becomes impatient or draws in Galaxy Level Civilizations for further progress.

”I need time!”

Jia Yan entered subspace to continue his breakthrough plans.

Meanwhile, Luo Longsi, after Jia Yan returned to subspace where he had previously stayed, continued her tasks.

Jia Yan had been her leader for some time, and they had previously spent time alone together. Thus, Luo Longsi understood Jia Yan well; as he spoke, she executed Jia Yan’s instructions as though calculating them precisely in her mind.

First, she took out the communicator and conveyed Jia Yan’s words to his group of subordinates, mentioning that Jia Yan used his avatar at the competition arena and achieved a great victory, even intimidating the Empire.

Secondly, Luo Longsi once again communicated with the Empire, proposing a half-light-year territory exchange ceremony.

”Hmph? This Orion Arm’s Luo Longsi actually wants to conduct a transfer ceremony with us; is she trying to humiliate us in front of everyone? Decline.”
