Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 724: Chapter 17: Semi-combat Class Aircraft Carrier? [Subscription Required]_3

She sighed softly.

”I hope nothing strange happens on His Lordship’s end, after all, he is about to face two of the strongest war weapons from three hundred years ago!”

As time passed, during the feverish construction, everyone was nothing more than a living machine!

This was an unparalleled, massive development for Earth!

Also, it was Earth’s most terrifying leap into the future in its history!

In just two months, under the incredulous gaze of all Earth people, the entire Earth had undergone a drastic shift in its general framework!

Some incredibly tall buildings began to appear.

Gigantic flying vehicles, carrying various types of ores and other materials, moved between the different settlements!

3D printers worked relentlessly day and night, producing countless amounts of basic building materials and transporting them in all directions.

Metal monsters that resembled machines, unlike the ones encountered before which didn’t have combat abilities, started working alongside humans at a much higher efficiency.

”God... Is this still our Earth?”

In just two months, Earth had undergone a terrifying transformation. Although the once splendid civilization had not yet returned, under the leadership of the Giant Mosquito, Earth people were stepping into a bizarre direction of civilization.

Everybody lived in basic houses provided by the Alliance. Despite some complaints, this was much better than the fearful days of the past. So, under pressure, people tolerated it.

As for their daily life, they still lived a life of continuous work.

Every day, the streets were filled with hurrying Earth people, both men and women, all dressed in uniform clothing. Although some enhanced or modified the clothes, when such individuals appeared, they were usually scolded by their superiors. ”Instead of wasting time doing this, why not work harder to increase production!”

Yes, most Earth people felt as if they had been reduced to mere robots. Life was incredibly stifling!

However, having just survived the days of constant threats from the Metal Monsters, Earth people had developed remarkable resilience. Besides a few objections, the majority were content with their simple life; a routine of going to work and then returning home.

Even so, things were slowly changing!

When mechanized Metal Monsters, albeit simpler yet still highly efficient, started appearing on a large scale, people found their workload significantly reduced.

They began to enjoy regular holidays and those who excelled in their work, received additional items, besides food and clothes!

Items like bigger, fancier houses!

And high-tech devices that were similar to smartphones from ten years ago. Although, the devices they received far surpassed the capabilities of those smartphones!

Even entertainment facilities began to surface!

Earth people saw a ray of hope. After two months of hard labor, working day and night, dealing with raw materials, they could finally envision the possibility of change!

Fortunately, the actual situation reflected this possibility.

Jia Yan was never the type to treat another species as his slaves, especially if that species used to be his own in his previous life.

The future of Earth people was bound to be brighter. He didn’t want nor could he let Earth people live in misery, not only because they were once his own kind...

But also because of his family!

A massive figure appeared near a deep mountain not far from Shanghai city.

A little girl was squatting on the ground playing with mud. For a child her age, what was happening to Earth didn’t matter at all. Even during the days when the Metal Monsters wreaked havoc, their days were still happy.

Of course, now they didn’t have adults frantically hiding them or covering their mouths when they cried. They even had more food. Compared to before, they were undoubtedly happier!

The little girl quickly noticed the visitor above her.

”Chirp chirp! You’re here!”

She wiped her dirty cheeks, her face full of surprise and joy!

The little girl was none other than Jia Yan’s adorable niece, ’Qiqi’. And the gigantic figure she saw was the strongest monster known to everyone on this planet — the Giant Mosquito.

To date, whether the Giant Mosquito was the only one of its kind remained a hot topic of debate among many. But now, even media coverage was less than before, so their verifications were limited to the public. A lot of discrepancies still lingered.

Naturally, most people liked the Giant Mosquito. Aside from turning Earth into a massive factory, which people didn’t appreciate, they liked everything else the Giant Mosquito did.

As for the small village not far from Shanghai city, they welcomed the Giant Mosquito the most!

Their status had changed dramatically.

When government workers from Shanghai City were assigned here, they couldn’t believe it because there were rumors that a family living here was somehow ’related’ to the Giant Mosquito!

This was an unbelievable fact, yet they couldn’t verify its truth. They only followed their superiors’ instructions, and didn’t conscript any villagers.

Even towards the ’People from Jia’s family’ who were rumored to be related to the Giant Mosquito, they showed respect. Given that this family often conversed with the Giant Mosquito, whether the rumors were true or not, that was reason enough not to offend them!

But today, they saw the Giant Mosquito overhead in person!

The little girl ’Jia Qi’, who was playing at the entrance of the house, approached the Giant Mosquito without any fear!

Then, they heard the usually solemn and authoritative Giant Mosquito speak in a doting tone, ”Good girl, Qiqi.”
