Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 713: Chapter 14 Racing Against Time!【Subscribe】_1

The starry sky is vast, an endless mysterious region, that even the most formidable and unimaginably powerful sentient civilizations would fail to fully explore!

When it comes to space travel, distance always poses the greatest challenge.

Even between companion stars, the unit of distance is often light-years. Light itself, with a speed of three hundred thousand kilometers per second, requires more than a year to traverse this distance. And this is the closest astronomical unit in the starry sky. If one were to measure the distance across the entire swath of stars in the galaxy, or even in the ’observable universe’, the vastness is enough to plunge every sentient species into despair!

The distances, where even at light speed it takes tens, hundreds, or even millions of years are beyond imaginable for sentient life.

Yet amidst this limitless expanse of space, there will always be life forms who dare to brave the journey, courageously embarking on a quest to conquer a star sea that is eternally beyond conquest!

In this vast emptiness of space, a small fleet of starships was traveling forward at an indescribable speed!

”A full year has passed, by this time Lord should have arrived on Earth. We have made good progress too, having successfully escaped from the vicinity of the Scholz’s star system. All we need to do next is navigate towards Earth.”

Daphne was in the main control room of the spaceship. She looked into the large screen, which showed little more than twinkling stars, with no other distinctive objects. She felt a hint of fatigue.

For Earth City, escaping from the Grey-Yellow Star didn’t mean safety. After Jia Yan left, Daphne was again attacked by star pirates, faced resource shortages, and even the threat of rebellion!

But they pulled through each crisis. Though the number of Earth City’s spaceships had once again dwindled, now fewer than ten, with its population decreased by one third, they managed to gather most of the resources and supplies needed. Their main worries now revolve around the need to replenish the metal resources and energy sources consumed during their journey.

”We will make it back to Earth! According to the scientists’ calculations, our warp speed travel is moving us faster than the speed of light! We should be able to reach the Solar System within seven years!”

”I hope that by then, Lord Assassin can withstand the Exploration Ship. Even if he can’t resolve it, he must persist until we arrive!”

As she contemplated these problems, Daphne looked irritably at a region shown on the screen...

In the past battles, the ’Mysterious Battleship’ that had helped the Earth City Fleet before, reappeared. It not only resolved the enemy but also helped Earth City deter a large wave of hostile Star Pirate Ships.

”Who is following us? It feels like they’re trailing us all the time,” Daphne looked strangely at the area behind them in the starry sky, even though she couldn’t see anything. However, she had a hunch that there was indeed an exceptionally high-performance Alien Battleship following behind...

”Forget it, up to now, this battleship has shown no hostility. If they are determined to follow us, even though we don’t know how they continuously track our position, let them be.” Daphne contemplated for a bit and then reluctantly shook her head.

If the ship had ill intentions, it could have attacked earlier instead of helping repeatedly. Therefore, she believed that bringing the ship back to the Solar System might not pose significant risks...

Of course, given the very grim situation on Earth, the fleet of Earth City spaceships under Daphne’s control is undoubtedly a tremendous aid. Because of this, she was pressuring to rush towards Earth.

”Boss, the warp drive engine is all set. Several of the ships with lower power have also enabled the energy limit adjustment.”

An alien from the Auster Empire came to Daphne’s side and respectfully reported it.

”Then, let’s notify the fleet! It’s time to begin warp speed travel!”

Daphne nodded, then gazed solemnly at the screen in front of her.

Beep beep beep!——————

The shrill alarm sound echoed continuously from each starship.

”This fleet is about to commence warp speed travel. The spacecraft may experience unpredictable vibrations; all members please be aware.”

”The countdown to warp speed travel begins. Ten, nine, eight...”

”Three, two, one!”

”Warp speed travel, starts now!”

The control room suddenly shook violently, causing the creatures inside to tremble. There was even one who fell from his seat

Yet these were all powerful beings, and the control room was equipped with an excellent balance system, so there were no casualties.

”Engine power output is at 78%, ship load balance has reached 52% of the threshold value, the pressure fluctuation inside the ship is one and a half times the normal.”

Maintaining the system checks, the members quickly reported the data they were tracking.

”Continue increasing engine power until 82 points. System overall balance department, lower threshold. Engage the pressure pouring system!”

Looking at the stream of data in front of her, Daphne calmly issued her commands.

”Yes, engine power is steadily increasing, reaching 79...80...”

”Load balance threshold is lowering, successful initiation of the reduction system, threshold at 50...49...”

”Pressure pouring system is successfully launched, pressure inside the cabin is rapidly alleviating.”
