Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3698  Splitting Up?

Shirley and Sierra furrowed their brows. This would essentially lower their survival rate since the others could attack them mid-way, causing the Immortal Kings to die. Sierra felt like she could only rely on Hirona who was to the north, waiting for them at the Fifth Hidden Pagoda.

Naturally, the King-Tier Fey inheritors from the Dark Phoenix Clan and Viridian Lightning Fox Clan also sensed this upcoming change if Founder Rocksunder were to leave. It would give them an edge to eliminate competition, and the best way would be to force these Immortal Kings to use their Escape Talismans because the two of them were wives of the Divine Emperor of Death, which was the foremost reason why they were reluctant to attack Rea Tyriel as they guessed that she might also be having an affair with him. It was possible if they killed Rea Tyriel, then they would offend the Divine Emperor of Death.

After all, Rea Tyriel should know that mingling with Evelynn and Shirley shouldnʼt be good, as it could be seen as committing blasphemy against the heavens. Even the suspicion of having a relationship with the Divine Emperor of Death was enough reason to eliminate her in the true immortal world and even in the First Haven World as long as the opportunity presented itself.

As for Dewzai, the Viridian Lightning Foxʼs inheritor looked at her, wondering why she was there. After all, the Devilish Flame Fox Clan was allied with the Cyan Soul Rat Clan, which the Divine Emperor of Death massacred.

It didnʼt make sense for Dewzai to be there.

Nonetheless, the Viridian Lightning Fox Clan and Devilish Flame Fox Clan werenʼt on good terms either, so she didnʼt bother much.

”You know what—”Shirley opened her mouth, ”I want to go towards the south as well.”

”Then weʼll go with you.”

Evelynn looked at Shirley and Founder Rocksunder, causing his brows to rise.

”Ladies, I possibly canʼt protect you if we meet with danger.”

”Thatʼs not a problem.”

Shirley waved her hand, ”With this, thereʼs no friction between us all unless you still want to steal from Rea Tyriel.”

She coldly looked at the inheritors from the Dark Phoenix Clan and Viridian Lightning Fox Clan, causing them to narrow their brows.

They couldnʼt make a move now as there were three Immortal Emperors against them, so eventually, they shrugged, looking disinterested.

”Going south? Sheʼs just courting death.”

”Youngsters are as stupid as they come~”

They sneered, causing Rea Tyriel to furrow her brows. She inwardly swore if she was an Immortal Emperor, she would kick their asses and make them know their place. They lost to her in terms of pure destructive force, after all.

The First Hidden Pagoda attested to the fact that she was strong, and it was only that Evelynn was ridiculous, possibly Shirley.

Soon, the two groups separated, one heading north and the other south.

However, Founder Rocksunder vaguely began directing his path to the southeast.

”Ladies, I may have to take another direction right now, so if you want to continue heading south, be careful.”

”…” Shirley blinked.

The new direction was the same direction she wanted to head towards.

It made her wonder if Founder Rocksunder also received contact from his people who were with Flamerose and Frostrose. She felt it could be possible.

”No worries~ Iʼll follow you until I donʼt need to.”

”In that case, try to keep up with me~”

Founder Rocksunder sped up, causing Shirley and the others to be shocked.

They were still Immortal Kings, so how could they keep up?

They managed to keep up with him for thirty minutes.

In the end, Founder Rocksunder left them in the dust.

”I didnʼt think Founder Rocksunder was such a bully…” Shirley wryly laughed.

”Leave it.” Evelynn shook her head, ”This is a competition, so why would he do us the courtesy of protection?”

”Makes sense.”

Shirley nodded. She didnʼt care for the most part. At least, Founder Rocksunder was together with them until they left those two inheritorsʼ range. It was possible they mightʼve turned back and come for them.

After all, stealing from Rea Tyriel should be easier than completing the Fifth Hidden Pagoda.

=========

”Mhm~ Thatʼs strange…” Isabella looked at Crystia and Noctis before looking at Flamerose and Frostrose.

”You four are saying that theyʼre approaching from the same direction?”

”Yes…”

The four of them nodded, causing Isabella to purse her lips.

”Well, if Shirley is together with Founder Rocksunder, it should give her some protection. Weʼll also move in their direction to quickly meet up with them.”

”Alright.”

”You can also come with us if you want, Hayley.”

The four of them agreed, and Isabella invited Hayley, but she hesitated a bit before she accepted. Even the other four inheritors, whom Isabella didnʼt get to know, decided to follow her.

Crystia led the way.

They crossed hundreds of kilometers before tens of inheritors blocked their path.

”Girias…” Isabellaʼs voice was laced with killing intent.

She shouldʼve known he would spread the word that she completed the Fourth Hidden Pagoda and gathered some inheritors in order to murder and rob her.

”Earth Dragons, you canʼt give off your bloodline scent like that. What if the Crystal Beasts caught onto it and came hunting for you because youʼre all delicious?”

Harmon drew a saber out of his blood energy and mockingly hacked the air as though chopping them to pieces.

”You two…”

Crystiaʼs gaze turned cold.

”Isabella, leave them to us. I was unable to protect you in the trial space because we were on the opposite side of the island, and even when we appeared outside, I prioritized protecting my husband over you, but now…”

*Bzzz!~*

Noctis flew to the skies, his aura making the air tremble as his undulations reverberated at Level Three Immortal Emperor Stage.

”…”

Isabella pursed her lips, blinking.

After Frostrose and Flameroseʼs karmic resonated with Shirley with their same bloodline, she saw Crystia and Noctis leave to a hidden area on the pretense of contacting Founder Rocksunder before they came out. At that time, it was possible they dual-cultivated using some method so that Noctis could quickly rise to the Level Three Immortal Emperor Stage.

”Please.”

Noctis extended his hand towards thirteen Level One Immortal Emperors, his expression arrogant instead of humble.
