Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2175: Lnside The Hidden Spatial Gate

Davis ascended the Distorted Skies of Yonder with Evelynn and the others, taking them to the spatial gate discovered by Myria.

He possessed a valid reason to bring them to the spatial gate.

After all, if it was an immortal inheritance, their cultivations and ages would be taken into account, and the difficulty would be easier because of it. Of course, Myria and he was already stronger for their own cultivations and ages, but he had just become sixty years old after training in the Alternating Time Flow Valley, probably causing a drastic increase in difficulty.

Still, it might not be a problem for him. However, he felt that Clara and all the other young women had more chances depending on what they encountered.

Perhaps, this was also his chance to repay Clara and enrich her cultivation?

Although there was the matter of her being influenced after she turned immortal, that was a matter for later. Until then, he decided that he was going to look after her like he had looked after her before.

It wasnʼt long before they arrived before the spatial gate, whereupon they felt an overbearing presence from it. Maybe it was because of the terrifying atmosphere that could rip them apart to shreds, but still, they couldnʼt help but feel small in front of that spatial gate.

ᴘ ᴀɴᴅ ᴀ ɴ ᴏᴠᴇʟ Nonetheless, with Davis hovering forwards before entering the spatial gate, they also stepped in simultaneously, arriving in an enclosed hall.

Davis abruptly felt his connection with his avatar cut off again. His women also reacted similarly as they got caught off with their avatars that were learning knowledge in libraries and other places.

”Itʼs not a mini-realm?”

Davis already expected this phenomenon to occur, but still, he narrowed his brows, using his soul sense to outline his surroundings. Judging by the complex architecture, he figured that it was a palace extending to five or more floors. However, his soul sense wasnʼt able to leave the palace as all the windows were shut closed, and the balconies appeared permanently shut.

Nonetheless, in this dull location that had no signs or warnings, he tracked Myriaʼs scent, which was unique. She left no aura, but he was able to use his physical senses to track her down, walking along with his women to the end of the hallway before he climbed the spiraling stairs.

There was some kind of force disallowing them to fly, but they didnʼt bother much with it since it didnʼt do anything to them, arriving at the first floor.

On the first floor, there seemed to be a durable-looking spacious room, one that seemed like it was prepared for battles. However, there was also a row of treasures that were placed at the end of the room, causing Davis and the others to become shocked as the treasures seemed to be still there, unplundered.

Nevertheless, there seemed to be a conspicuous board right behind those treasures, a few sentences written on it.

[Congratulations on obtaining the treasures of the first floor. You can now head upwards and challenge the second floor to obtain its treasures. However, you can only obtain the treasures of one particular floor before you should take your leave. Moreover, you canʼt leave until everyone who arrived here agrees to leave. Greed isnʼt advised as it would make things difficult, so tread vigilantly in this Nine-Treasured Palace. You can stay however long youʼd like to, but once you leave, you can never enter again, even forgetting everything about the remaining treasures and the rules until the entire palace has been cleared.]

Davis looked at these letters with wide eyes before his lips went agape.

”Ahahahaha!~”

Everyone was startled by Davisʼs uproarious laughter that sounded rather evil.

”Greed… greed…. I see. So if only I and Myria had come here, we wouldʼve been able to only walk away with the treasures of two floors.”

He couldnʼt believe that his risky move of bringing his women here would net him this much of an advantage. While Myria would only be able to walk out with a floorʼs treasures, he could walk out with eight floorʼs treasures. Just the thought of it filled him with ecstasy as he felt like he could tease Myria for it.

After all, looking at the four treasures that Myria had left here, it was obvious that she went to challenge the upper floors and see if those treasures were worthy of taking, but in the end, she could only take the treasures of a single floorʼs away.panda novel

Moreover, it seemed like this place heavily punished those who kill or try to plunder as he saw the wordsʼ everyone who arrived hereʼ and ʼgreed isnʼt advisedʼ. This also meant that the challenges donʼt kill the challenger but instead erase the memories of the challenger after they leave this place.

However, he could see that there were a few loopholes, like what would happen if someone waited on the ground floor to plunder the challengers and leave?

Davis thought all of this in a few seconds before he headed towards the upper stairs and saw that he wasnʼt blocked.

ʼAs I expected. Only one needs to clear the challenge to ascend the floors.ʼ

However, for those treasures, he looked at another board that had bright words carved upon it.

[If anyone else wants these treasures, then test your might.]

Davis pursed his lips, not wanting to battle, as he turned to look at his women.

”Who wants to go get those treasures for us?”

”I do.”

Mingzhi grinned, her crimson lips curving into a wicked smile.

”Arenʼt you eager?” Fiora raised her brows, wondering if she didnʼt have enough courage as Mingzhi did to respond as quickly as she did.

”Duh, itʼs probably the easiest floor in this Nine-Treasured Palace.”

”…”

With snarky words that left everyone flabbergasted, Mingzhi walked into the room with no fear or nervousness in her eyes. She walked past an invisible barrier that suddenly reacted and trapped her in the room.

At the same time, a strange strand of energy flew into the room from nowhere and gathered in front of Mingzhi as they bloated into a humanoid shape, forming into a direct imitation of herself.

”…!?”

Mingzhi was shocked to see another her appear in front of her. Her expression couldnʼt help but churn as she saw the fake Mingzhiʼs lips move.

”You know youʼre a crass woman, yet trying to be funn-”

*Paaah!~*

”Fucking die, bitch!”

Darkness filled the space as they gathered into Mingzhiʼs palm. She unleashed her palm directly on her fakeʼs face, blasting her into oblivion.
