Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2160: Unhinged

Clara had decided to head to the Distorted Skies of Yonder and Alternating Time Flow Valley. The Heaven Mandate Temple and the Heaven Gazing Sect jointly occupied those grounds, and not many people would be allowed inside these two zones as it was treated as a treasured training grounds for Space Laws and Time Laws.

Even if they were allowed, they wouldnʼt be allowed for more than a few days or months unless they were disciples of these powers, the exception being people who committed themselves to become Mystic Diviners as they were required to comprehend Space, Time, and Karma Laws.

Thatʼs why Tinaʼs martial uncle, who lusted after her, was able to enjoy a lot of time in these zones. However, since Clara was a top disciple, she would be able to have free entry for as much time as she wanted.

That would only leave him and Evelynn, perhaps a few others who are interested in comprehending Space Laws and Time Laws. However, since he had a good relationship with the Heaven Mandate Temple and the Heaven Gazing Sect, he believed that they would let them in for as much as they wanted, although he believed his people would only require a year or half to determine if they were good at comprehending Space Laws and Time Laws.

ʼHowever, to go comprehending Space and Time Laws at this time… it might prove to be useful or a complete waste of time...ʼ

Davis witnessed the usage of Space Laws in the Nine Western Territories Young Expert Competition and was thoroughly mesmerized, especially when Myria used it, displaying an immense comprehension over it that left the likes of the Vast Sky Emperor in the dust.

He wondered what it would like to match Myriaʼs prowess in Space Laws, but surely, it couldnʼt be done in a year or two. Nevertheless, he felt that future prospects shouldnʼt be squashed just because he couldnʼt make time for it due to an ongoing calamity.

He had to fit in many skills as he could in a short amount of time. Besides, he was sure that the bastard who opened a tear in space and launched a Vacuous Beast Invasion would do it again, perhaps differently, but as for how, he wasnʼt able to guess.

”Alright, Clara. You can go, but weʼre joining you as well.”

”Truly?”

Davis nodded his head, causing Claraʼs eyes to slightly widen, ”I thought brother was going to train your Essence Gathering Cultivation as I had heard what happened to your body. Is it fine for you cast your focus elsewhere?”

”My little sister is quite strict, I see...” Davis smirked, ”Donʼt worry. Iʼll concentrate on my essence as soon as I know how fast Iʼm comprehending Space Laws. Besides, Iʼm mainly heading there to see if I could comprehend Time Laws or not.”

”I want to have a try as well.”

Evelynn threw in her opinion, causing Clara to nod lightly.

”I see.”

”But still, even though it must be mortifying and discouraging for brother to have an immortal tribulation thatʼs worse than Elliaʼs, I believe in you. Iʼll take my leave then.”

Clara smiled lightly, turned around, and left.

”Alright.”

Davis watched Clara leave, his eyes blinking thrice, making him wonder if she had become distant to not display many emotions about his plight, although her words made him feel at ease and understand that she still cared about him.

This just meant that she was being influenced by her imperial physique and her new cultivation manual, which caused her to be more like a hegemonic ruler. As far as he could tell, she still cared about him, which meant that she didnʼt display signs of being controlled by the heavens.

Did Myria lie, or was Clara more unique?

However, Myria did say that Clara would start to be influenced by the heavens after she became an immortal, so he didnʼt mind Clara increasing her cultivation until then. As long as she was herself, then there was no problem.

”Evelynn, help me keep an eye on her.”

”Sure~”

Evelynn unceremoniously replied as though it was a given, having already known some secrets which Davis shared because she could withstand the karmic burden with her prowess.

========

Two days later, a group of beauties and a conspicuous yet handsome toad left for the Heaven Gazing Sect Territory. However, they were seated on a magical beast that was more than a hundred and fifty meters tall. Its brownish-golden wings were twice the size of its height. If someone was below it, they would feel as though this huge monstrosity blotted out the skies.

Thatʼs how big it was, and it was none other than Mira, Isabellaʼs magical beast pet.

She carried them all to the Heaven Gazing Sect, causing countless jaws to drop on their way in fear, shock, and awe.

To see a true Earth Dragon in this day and age, it could only mean that it was the Earth Dragon Queenʼs mount, which could mean that the Emperor of Death was also on it, but little did they know that there was a group of people traveling like they were going for an excursion.

Heck, when they broke through the Territory Fog of the Heaven Gazing Sect Territory, the entire power was alarmed, and the Karmic Guardian Emperor hurriedly jumped out of seclusion to confront the sudden visit of the Emperor of Death, his heart beating erratically from a bit of trepidation, making him wonder if he had done something wrong in these few months.

”Ah, if it isnʼt the Emperor of Death. I wonder if it is necessary to cause all this commotion when you can just send us a messenger to allow us to invite you with fanfare and glory that you deserve.”

As the Karmic Guardian Emperor spoke, he momentarily gazed at the veiled beauties behind him as well as Tia, the little girl he put his heart and soul to teaching for a short time as her teacher only to be taken away from him, making him momentarily wonder if she had made any improvements but more than that, he wondered why the Emperor of Death would appear here with his women.

ʼIt couldnʼt be to humiliate us to make himself look good in front of them… right?ʼ

ᴘᴀɴᴅᴀ-ɴᴏᴠᴇʟ The Karmic Guardian Emperor couldnʼt help but flinch ever so lightly at that thought. After all, the person in front of him was still a carefree youth with a libido that couldnʼt be suppressed. Not that many men, young or old, could stop themselves from looking cool in front of their women, including him. It was precisely because he understood this thought process that he was worried.

However, he gazed at Davis, who was perfunctorily smiling at him.

”Today, I came here to borrow the Distorted Skies of Yonder and Alternating Time Flow Valley for training. I wonder if the Heaven Gazing Sect is willing to let us in?”

He raised his brows, causing the Karmic Guardian Emperor to smile brightly.

”Oh, so that was the case.”

”Did the Karmic Guardian Emperor think of something else?”

”No. Definitely not!”

The Karmic Guardian Emperor waved his hand before he turned to look at his aides.

”Grand Elders, quick! Bring them the necessary resources that would allow them to increase their chances of comprehending Space Laws.”

”Thereʼs no need for those resources, right?”

Davis felt that it wasnʼt good to be indebted to them nor accept favors at this point as he had no need to.

”Oh no. These are rewards meant for the Ninth Stage Segment, which never occurred because of what happened back then. I thought providing a few as a sign of goodwill and repayment to the aid youʼve given us to our cultivations, but if the Emperor of Death states otherwise, Iʼll keep them back inside.”

”I didnʼt mean that.”

Hearing Davis taking back his words, the Karmic Guardian couldnʼt help but secretly smile. Sure enough. The other party was just putting up a magnanimous front.

”Wasnʼt I first in the Eighth Stage Segment of the Nine Western Territories Young Expert Competition? You people promised to give the top three the ability to buy resources for half the price, so Iʼll be taking advantage of that privilege.”

”Oh… right.”

The Karmic Guardian Emperor remembered they said something like that. These resources cost a fortune to buy as they were at High-Level Emperor Grade and above, not to mention their rarity as they could only be found in the Distorted Skies of Yonder and Alternating Time Flow Valley, but to the Emperor of Death, who destroyed many powers including the Vast Sky Emperor Palace, it is but a mere fraction of his overall wealth.

Possessing a difficult expression on his face, he agreed and led them to the special training grounds.
