Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2044: Concocting The Acquired Recipe

The Profound Tyrant Veined Cauldron gloomily replied, causing Davis to nod.

ʼI thought so...ʼ

However, he wasnʼt disappointed as he felt like obtaining the Vigorous Heptagonal Emperor Soul Pill Recipe itself was good. There could be more pleasing pills recipes stashed within Myriaʼs knowledgeable soul, but he didnʼt have much to exchange with her, not to mention that he felt like he had already acted shameless enough to obtain the Supreme Ebbing Sigil Pill Recipe.

He didnʼt want to further embarrass himself, taking advantage of her thoughts towards Ellia.

Moreover, even if he could obtain a more powerful pill recipe from her, it was more likely that he wouldnʼt be able to obtain the ingredients required since there should be so many ingredients out there that he or all the powers here had no knowledge of. Otherwise, Ellia wouldnʼt have said that the Supreme Ebbing Sigil Pill was the best pill she could make with the current resources.

A moment later, Davis took a deep breath and began refining the ingredients according to the methods indicated.

First, he took the auxiliary ingredients out and made them into powder and other states before neatly arranging them on a table beside the cauldron. He didnʼt move, but his soul force that had been completely restored did the job, lifting up ingredients and carrying them around like he possessed many hands capable of stretching.

Once he refined all auxiliary ingredients, it was time to move on to the four main ingredients.

Davis took out the first main ingredient required to make the Vigorous Heptagonal Emperor Soul Pill.

It was called the Azure Dream Wyrm Heart, an Emperor Grade ingredient that had grown to Peak-Level in potency.

It appeared azure in color and looked like a beating heart as it shook ever so lightly now and then. One could mistake it as the beating heart of a magical beast, but it was undoubtedly a herb. As for its effects, when consumed naturally increases the quality of soul essence to a degree but also paralyzes the person, later causing damage to the soul essence which eventually leads to the collapse of consciousness if one doesnʼt treat it properly.

This azure herb was quite poisonous and also used for poison pill concoctions.

He ground it into powder and kept it ready for assimilation.

The second ingredient was called the Moongleam Heartbeat Mistress Plant. It was a two-meter tall plant, but its leaves were naturally positioned in such a way that it formed the image of an alluring woman while there was the sparkling gleam of the moon shining upon it from a big spherical-shaped leaf that radiated unnatural moonlight.

Itʼs said that it naturally emanates Charm Laws, attracting the opposite gender of all races to gnaw upon and devour their energy, making it know that it was a carnivorous plant to knowledgeable experts but still end up getting its prey in its range before devouring them because Charm Laws were almost undefeated.

It was also used as the main ingredient in pills used to increase Charm Laws. However, this plant also produced an essence called the moonshine essence that increased the quality of soul essence.

Davis extracted that moonshine essence and stored it in a vial, ready for use.

Like this, he also took care of the Waterfall Worn Shadow Herb and the Phoenix Essence Climber Cherry Fruit, third and fourth ingredients.

The Phoenix Essence Climber Cherry Fruit was something that only a Burning Phoenix like Ancestor Cornelia could create and grow to maturity but took thousands of years to mature. This climber plant required a phoenixʼs blood and soul essence to grow, and the cherry fruit allowed the consumer to also experience an upsurge in soul essence.

Davis possessed this ingredient with him already as he had procured it from the Burning Phoenix Ridge using the All-Seeing Emperorʼs aid, so naturally, he didnʼt forget to store the seed of the ingredient he lacked.

It was the Waterfall Worn Shadow Herbʼs seed.

It grew behind a giant waterfall that flows thousand of kilometers down from a steep mountain while the herb withstands the force of the waterfall, collecting its special properties while living in its shadows. It isnʼt easily obtainable as its force alone could destroy an entire Emperor Grade City by itself when provoked and, when consumed, even causes a Martial Overlord to implode.

This was actually the main ingredient that allowed the pill essence to seep into the inner layer of soul essence to create a Mortal Sigil and the hundreds of auxiliary ingredients were present to suppress its berserk energy while also increasing the other three main ingredientsʼ ability to provide better quality soul essence.

Looking at all the ingredients prepared, Davis recollected his concentration and was about to start the concocting process when a voice suddenly interrupted.

”Master, leave it to me. I also know how to refine this pill and although I canʼt assure you a Perfect-Tier Pill, an Advanced Tier Pill of the highest purity is easier for me to concoct.”

Davis possessed a blank expression on his face before he shook his head.

”No, let me try. I am not only concocting pills but also practicing and improving my alchemy skills.”

”As expected of master, disdaining to take shortcuts.” The Profound Tyrant Veined Cauldron proudly spoke.

ʼNo, Iʼd really like to borrow your assistance, but I want to rely on myself...ʼ

Davis inwardly cried before he began refining the pill, throwing in the first main ingredient into the Profound Tyrant Veined Cauldron as flames surged from it and himself, followed by a few auxiliary ingredients mixing with the first main ingredient.

”If I do something wrong, then instruct me at the end.”

Saying so, Davis continued to follow the refining method to point as much as possible. He added the second and third main ingredients before adding a few more auxiliary ingredients and finally threw in the fourth and final main ingredients. At the same time, he tossed in some essential auxiliary ingredients to prevent the pill refinement from exploding.

The unrefined pill essence gathered in the Profound Tyrant Veined Cauldron shook as though it was going to explode. However, it eventually calmed, causing Davis to heave a breath before he continued adding the other auxiliary ingredients, finally assimilating everything into a sea of medicinal essence that began to take shape.

All this took him two hours to do.

This was the moment he should be extremely careful because if the assimilation failed, the chances that the power contained within the concentrated yet unrefined pill essence would explode would become considerably higher than any intersection of this pillʼs concoction process.

Davis cast a look at the refined ingredients. He could afford to make two more tries with the quantity left, so he wasnʼt worried about failing the refinement and wasnʼt scared of the explosion since this Profound Tyrant Veined Cauldron could take it without getting damaged. However, he remained anxious when an expert like the Profound Tyrant Veined Cauldron watched him.

Chances are that he was going to disappoint it, but he closed the lid and waited for the medicinal essence to assimilate.

One minute… two minutes… fifteen minutes passed when Davis felt the cauldron tremble ever so lightly.

”Condense!”

Davis slapped on the lid of the Profound Tyrant Veined Cauldron, using his soul force to contain the power of the pill essence that was forming within. The impact caused the trembling cauldron to become silent before he opened the pill lid, looking at four, no five pills rolling around before they came to a stop, gleaming with a lustrous blue while a heptagonal pattern was imprinted on it.

Davis took out the five pills and analyzed them. Out of the five pills, one of them was Crude Tier, three of them were Normal Tier, and the last one was an Advanced Tier Pill that caught his eyes because it shone more than the others and exuded a deep aura.

Nonetheless, Davis closed his eyes for a moment before storing the pills. He then turned to look at the Profound Tyrant Veined Cauldron, ”What kind of mistakes did I make?”

”Master, when you threw in the second main ingredient, you failed to optimize the heat of the flames in accordance with the sublimation of the first bout of ingredients.”

”When you added the Jade Song Herb to the mix after throwing in the second ingredient, you forgot to wait for the right timing as the second ingredient would also enter a sublime state.”

”Again, when you added the next ingredient before the previous ingredient could enter a liquid state to revitalize the medicinal essence gathered so far, you should add three drops of Rain Jewel Essence, but you accidentally added three and a quarter drops. However, Iʼm sure you already know of this mistake, so I wonʼt elaborate more.”

”Furthermore…”

Like that, the Profound Tyrant Veined Cauldron listed about forty-eight mistakes in total without a stop, causing Davisʼs lips to twitch occasionally when he couldnʼt realize that he had made a mistake at that point or knew, and it was so silly that he felt like he could slap himself for making such a low-level mistake.

But because his soul force was extremely strong, he was able to keep the concoction stabler than the norm. This was why many alchemists who were at Ninth Stage in prowess could concoct King Grade Pills easily, even if they were not skillful in understanding how to make the pill without mistakes.

Of course, certain mistakes do end up destroying the whole pill, but Davis hadnʼt made those mistakes. Otherwise, the pill essence wouldʼve exploded already.

However, Davis wasnʼt disheartened as he had little experience in making Peak-Level Emperor Grade Pills. The fact that he didnʼt fail alone was joyful to him, and thanks to his powerful soul force and the Profound Tyrant Veined Cauldron, he was even able to concoct an Advanced Tier Vigorous Heptagonal Emperor Soul Pill.

Perhaps, it was also thanks to the method he opted for at the end, trying to condense more inside a single pill that resulted in a lot of pill waste forming at the end, ultimately shortening him of two or three more pills that could be concocted.

On the other hand, the Supreme Ebbing Sigil Pill that Ellia refined for him would only produce one pill in one batch because the ingredients were allocated as such. It was a powerful pill capable of bestowing a Supreme Immortal Sigil, after all.

In any case, having the Advanced-Tier Pill in his hands, Davis licked his lips with a bit of eagerness, but he shoved that excitement and continued to make pills.

Two more refinements and he obtained six pills in the second batch and seven pills in the third batch. The number of mistakes he made also decreased to nine, allowing him to concoct eight Advanced Tier Pills and four Normal Tier Pills in total as a result.

Adding on with the first batch, he possessed an additional three Normal Tier Pills and a Crude Tier Pill.

Davis knew that these pills would be very helpful for his loved ones or even the soul legion, allowing their souls to leap in the quality of their Sigil, if not levels.

Only after he kept everything inside except for one Advanced Tier Vigorous Heptagonal Emperor Soul Pill and the Profound Tyrant Veined Cauldron did he raise his hands, causing the aura around him to change, becoming seamless as though one couldnʼt tell if he was a divinity or fiend.
