Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter Chapter 2033: Renewed Wealth

He couldnʼt help but think how he had burned money for the past few months.

Davis possessed about 1106 Peak-Level Spirit Stone Vein Sources in his spatial ring.

He had used about 600 Peak-Level Spirit Stone Vein Sources to procure resources using the All-Seeing Emperor, and the payment for his services was 6 Peak-Level Spirit Stone Vein Sources. After all, he and the All-Seeing Emperor was in a cooperative relationship. As long as the All-Seeing Emperor received money, he was more than happy to act as a subordinate, messenger, intelligence expert, and procurer for him.

All of All-Seeing Emperorʼs services cost him about 56 Peak-Level Spirit Stones Vein Sources in total.

Together, they cost about 656 Peak-Level Spirit Stone Vein Sources.

He had also used Peak-Level Spirit Stone Vein Sources to power Isabellaʼs Golden Palace, so it cost him an additional 250 Peak-Level Spirit Stone Vein Sources. However, these Vein Sources can be retrieved provided they donʼt lose so much of their energy.

In the competition, he had given 50 Peak-Level Spirit Stone Vein Sources to the Glorious Pill Palace to forget about the contract that bound Dalila and also exchanged with Drake for about 30 Peak-Level Spirit Stone Vein Sources.

The total expenditure arrived at about 986 Peak-Level Spirit Stone Vein Sources, leaving him with a mere 120 Peak-Level Spirit Stone Vein Sources available for use.

However, today, things were different.

With the destruction of the Emperor Sword Sect, he had gained 356 Peak-Level Spirit Stone Vein Sources, and after clearing the wicked path remnants, he gained an additional 129 Peak-Level Spirit Stone Vein Sources.

The total had come to 485 Peak-Level Spirit Stone Vein Sources. However, that was not the end. The spatial rings individuals possessed like Grand Elders, and other top powerhouses possessed about 94 Peak-Level Spirit Stone Vein Sources, making it reach 579 Peak-Level Spirit Stone Vein Sources.

Combined with his 120 Peak-Level Spirit Stone Vein Sources, his wealth grew to 699 Peak-Level Spirit Stone Vein Sources.

Still, that was not the end as he had stripped clean the entire Vast Sky Emperor Palace.

The powerful formations there required a massive amount of Peak-Level Spirit Stone Vein Sources to operate, and he had them stripped clean, including the city defensive formation and the heavenly tribulation defensive formation, which were both spatial in nature.

The Vast Sky Emperor Palace had never taken the energy source out of them, so they naturally possessed a vast treasury of Peak-Level Spirit Stone Vein Sources. Now, Davis knew how they could afford to reward the winners of the competition so magnanimously.

Altogether, he had plundered about 816 Peak-Level Spirit Stone Vein Sources from them. Counting the wealth he had tabulated, he now possessed 1515 Peak-Level Spirit Stone Vein Sources!

Moreover, there were still the 250 Peak-Level Spirit Stone Vein Sources that he could retrieve anytime from the golden palace.

Of course, some of the Peak-Level Spirit Stone Vein Sources were attributed, but he didnʼt include them in his calculation. There were about 39 Peak-Level Elemental Spirit Stone Vein Sources, and space and wind attributes were rather plenty.

As for Peak-Level Spirit Stone Vein Fragments, he was too lazy to count. However, a mere skimming look said that there were more than fifty million Peak-Level Spirit Stone Vein Fragments with him now.

Davis felt richer than ever.

His women were lamenting that he was spending too much on them, but now here he was, suffering from success.

ʼOr should I say, suffering from wealth…?ʼ

Davis chuckled. He knew that this wealth would also be spent sooner or later, so he never worried about it.

As for his other gains, there was the Vast Sky Emperor Palaceʼs Legacy Artifact. There were two of them. One defended the treasury while the other was in the Arcadius Skycloudʼs possession. Of course, defeating the legacy artifact was what took much energy out of him. Otherwise, there was no way killing people below Peak-Level Ninth Stage would exhaust him.

Furthermore, he erased the spirits of both legacy artifacts since they were enemies.

Techniques and manuals were abundant, and the spatial attributed ones were especially worth it. He had also gained valuable knowledge about many things, but it would take time for him to arrange everything that he would rather task someone else to take care of it.

These were all external gains. As for internal gains, they were bountiful as well.

His Heart Intent reached Level Two, allowing him to sense the emotions of others in a hundred-meter radius. However, it was just not a matter of range. He felt that he could now influence or rather amplify the emotions of people.

This ability of his was similar to Misdirection, but not by so much as Misdirection was just distracting them or making them feel a hint of something or some emotion. He wondered what would happen he used both of them simultaneously.

Nonetheless, with the slaughter he enacted, his Death Laws also reached Level Four Intent, making him look like he officially caught up to Ninth Stageʼs comprehension level. After all, for Greater Laws, the Eighth Stage embodied law intents from Level One to Level Three, while in the Ninth Stage, the law intents ranged from Level Three to Level Six.

Still, Davis couldnʼt help but feel ironic about this matter.

When it came to learning Death Laws, he was slow, or rather, he thought he was not talented in it, but it turned out that as long as he possessed a vast source of death aura, fresh and powerful death aura, he could comprehend quickly.

The Vast Sky Emperor Palace particularly had Grand Elders that were all at Peak-Level Ninth Stage. Their deaths combined with millions of people contributed to his comprehension of Death Laws, allowing him to comprehend Level Four Intent from Level Two Intent.

The only gripe; the only problem about this matter was that he was unwilling to commit slaughter unless he had been pushed to do so, like at that moment where he was disillusioned by the selfishness and avarice of many people.

As he thought about what to do about this matter, the door opened, and a few figures barged in.

”Ahh!”

Davis came out of his reverie and looked at Natalya, Fiora, Isabella, and Shirley visiting him. Of course, the one who shouted and looked away was none other than Shirley.

As for the others, their cheeks blushed, and their eyes became predatory, especially Natalya. She even seductively licked her lips.

Davis stood up and flew when a purple robe appeared on his body, covering him up. His figure appeared before Shirley as he put a hand on her shoulder.

Shirley shook, ”D-Did you wear your clothes?”

The others saw Shirleyʼs inexperience and silently giggled. They felt like they found her weakness, having some material to tease her later.

Davis raised his brows before he whispered over her ears.

”Should I remove it?”

”Ah~ no~ You cannot tease me like this...” Shirley pouted, feeling a sense of comfort and pleasure pervading her, causing her cheeks to turn red.

Davis couldnʼt help but chuckle at her reaction.

Although Shirley had seen his naked body once and even joined together, he didnʼt cause her to become sexually active, unlike the others. Therefore, Shirley seeing his naked body or him seeing her naked body was still awkward and shameful for her.

He was looking forward to the part where he removed that shame from her but before that…

Davisʼs arms wrapped around Shirleyʼs bloated belly where he could feel a life dwelling within it.

”Soon, our child will be born.”

”Mhm, soon.”

Shirley lowered her head as she caught his hands.

ʼFortunately, you came back safely...ʼ

She thought and couldnʼt wait for two more months to pass so she could hold their child together with him soon.

Davis kissed her cheek and looked at the others, ”Natalya, Isabella, Fiora. Are you not going to ask me anything?”

”Donʼt bring it up. Anything you do, I know you do it for a valid reason.” Isabella waved her hand.

”Thatʼs right.” Natalya nodded, ”Unless you admitted that you did it for the wrong reasons, thereʼs no need to even talk about this matter.”

”True. I know you did it to protect the Alstreim Family, husband.” Fiora uttered with a knowing smile, ”Thereʼs no right or wrong in this matter. The strong end up devouring the weak, and if they were strong, they wouldʼve targeted us. Husband saw that they chose to do what we feared. Isnʼt that why husband decided to completely decimate them?”

”You all…”

Davis was flabbergasted. He thought they had remained silent because they didnʼt want to needlessly talk about it, not wanting to hurt his feelings, but it seems like their faith never wavered. Excluding Isabella, whom Davis knew would support his decision because of her ruthlessness towards her enemies, he felt that Natalya and Fiora had significantly matured.

”Whatʼs more important is that you came back alive.” Shirley took his hand and smiled at him.

The charming grace of a mother was already dwelling within her silhouette in Davisʼs eyes. He couldnʼt help but smile, wanting to say something, when Natalya flinched.

”Thatʼs right. I almost forgot to tell you some important news.”

”Important news? What is it?”

Davisʼs eyes narrowed at Natalya. Had he missed some powerful remnants?

”That is…” Natalyaʼs lips curved as she acted mysteriously, ”Yesterday, someone visited us and gifted a hundred Peak-Level Spirit Stone Vein Sources.”

”…” Davis became stunned that he reacted belatedly.

”What…?”

”Hehe~ Guess who it is?” Natalya giggled.

Davis was flabbergasted. He wondered who it was, but Natalya could no longer suppress revealing the answer as she grinned.

”Itʼs the Glorious Pill Palace!”

”…!?”
