Chapter 1454: Chapter 1454: The Opposition Plan

Of course, Old Mr. Qi’s current thoughts were merely a reaction to the disappointing display of his descendants.

If he could safely navigate through this crisis, he would still oppose the number one leader’s plan. He couldn’t care less about the future of the country; all he cared about was increasing his influence and power.

After Old Mr. Qi’s outburst, the Qi family fell silent once again, returning to the previous tranquility, until a voice abruptly cut through the quiet.

”Hey, everyone’s gathered like this. Are you all welcoming me?” After having lunch with the Zhou family, Ye Fei directly arrived at the Qi residence, only to witness this scene, and he spoke up.

Ye Fei’s sudden appearance startled everyone in the Qi family, including Old Mr. Qi.

As a powerful figure in office, Old Mr. Qi naturally had more and stronger bodyguards than Ning Changzheng.

Yet, Ye Fei had appeared here like a ghost, without making a sound. It seemed he was even more formidable than rumored.

”You must be Ye Fei. I’ve heard a lot about you, but this is our first meeting. I wonder what brings you to my Qi family so abruptly?” Although well aware of Ye Fei’s intentions, Old Mr. Qi habitually put on his official tone.

However, Ye Fei had no intention of engaging in a verbal duel. He walked up to the long conference table, grabbed Old Mr. Qi, pulled him up, and sat in his seat, saying, ”I don’t like beating around the bush. Let’s get straight to the point. I’m here for revenge!”

”Revenge? What are you talking about?” Old Mr. Qi was a good actor. Despite being grabbed by Ye Fei and feeling furious inside, he didn’t show it on his face. Instead, he feigned confusion, ”I don’t recall our Qi family ever offending you.”

”Right, what evidence do you have?” Qi Delong quickly chimed in.

”Forget about evidence!” Ye Fei slammed the table and glared, ”Whether you’ve offended me or not, you know it in your hearts. And even if you haven’t, I’ll take you down just because I don’t like the look of you! So stop wasting my time with this evidence nonsense.”

Old Mr. Qi had initially planned to use the fact that the Qi family hadn’t personally released those videos to demand evidence from Ye Fei, thereby deflating his arrogance.

Then, he intended to personally apologize for the Qi family’s expansion into the southeast, hoping to regain some initiative. However, Ye Fei didn’t play along.

Old Mr. Qi had spent most of his life in political struggles, excelling at name-calling and verbal sparring. But these tactics were useless against Ye Fei.

For a moment, he was at a loss and finally said, ”Alright, I admit it. Some things my grandson Shilong did were wrong. But he’s just young and impulsive, and he was deceived by others. I hope you can show some mercy for my sake.”

”You’re saying those things were all done by Qi Shilong alone?” Ye Fei narrowed his eyes and asked.

”That’s right, it was all me. I was upset that you took Tingting away, so I wanted to get back at you,” Qi Shilong spoke up boldly.

Ye Fei glanced at Qi Shilong, ”If that’s the case, commit suicide in front of me, and we’ll consider our grudges settled!”

”Ah?” Qi Shilong was stunned. He had taken responsibility not out of bravery but because he thought Old Mr. Qi would protect him. He also believed that by doing so, he would gain attention and favor from the entire family—a multi-benefit move.

But he never expected Ye Fei to demand his death. He quickly turned to Old Mr. Qi for help.

”Ye Fei, I admit Shilong was wrong, and I will punish him severely. I hope you can give me some face and spare his life,” Old Mr. Qi quickly said.

”Face? Isn’t that something we gangsters usually deal with?” Ye Fei sneered, ”I am a gang leader, but are you, Old Mr. Qi?”

Old Mr. Qi’s expression froze as he suppressed his anger at being mocked, ”So, what do you want?”

”He must die today!” Ye Fei said resolutely, ”And I’ve changed my mind. He can’t commit suicide. You have to kill him with your own hands. Otherwise, I’ll take revenge on your entire Qi family and let you taste the feeling of being wiped out!”

In Ye Fei’s eyes, Old Mr. Qi saw determination and knew that if he didn’t comply, everyone in the Qi family, including himself, might not escape Ye Fei’s wrath.

Old Mr. Qi had climbed to his current position by being ruthless. Although Qi Shilong was his most favored grandson, compared to the entire family, especially his own life, he was nothing. Without any hesitation, he took a gun from one of his bodyguards and, before Qi Shilong could react, shot him in the head.

”Is this enough for you?” After killing his grandson, Old Mr. Qi threw the gun aside and looked at Ye Fei.

”Good, no need to see me off!” Ye Fei nodded and then vanished. He had no interest in looking at someone like Old Mr. Qi any longer. Although what he had just done was the most rational choice, Ye Fei despised such rationality. It was far from the approach of Old Mr. Zhou, who had taken all the blame upon himself.

As for the Qi family, Ye Fei naturally didn’t plan to let them off the hook. Everyone, including Old Mr. Qi, would die. However, their cowardly display had robbed him of the desire to take action himself.

In the following days, Ye Fei ”visited” the families that had reached the southeast at a rate of two per day. Although each family was more cowardly than the last, Ye Fei still went through with it. He wanted to make a statement, to instill even more fear in all the families.

This way, not only would he have fewer troubles, but implementing the plan he had discussed with the number one leader would also be much easier.

During these days, Ye Fei spent his days dealing with those families and his nights in endless pleasure with Jia Jingwen and Li Ruonan. Life was quite enjoyable.

The only thing he regretted was that after their night of passion, Aunt Li Minghua no longer came to him.

Not only did she thwart his wish for a foursome, but she also refused to be alone with him. To avoid him, Li Minghua even slept with Zhou Tingting every night, leaving him no chance to make a move, which left Ye Fei quite frustrated.
