Urban Seduction: Housewives Club

Chapter 1197: Chapter 1197: Ye Fei’s Solution

Cuddled in Ye Fei’s warm embrace, Yue Xinru’s voice softened as well. ”Pingjie treated you like that. Are you angry with her? She had no choice.”

”I know. She was just standing up for her family. It’s something I can relate to, so I don’t blame her,” Ye Fei said with a smile.

”Really?” Yue Xinru suddenly lifted her head from Ye Fei’s arms, looking at him with a mix of surprise and delight.

One was her best and only friend, and the other was the man who had captured both her body and heart. Stuck between them, she sincerely hoped they could let bygones be bygones and stop being at odds with each other.

Now, with the recent changes in the family, Yue Xinru believed that Gu Yanping no longer harbored any resentment toward Ye Fei. So, the key lay with Ye Fei, and when he said he didn’t blame Gu Yanping, how could Yue Xinru not be happy?

Seeing the childlike excitement on Yue Xinru’s mature and beautiful face, Ye Fei couldn’t help but lean down and give her a quick kiss on the lips.

Then he chuckled, ”Of course it’s true. Besides, she’s my woman now. I can’t love her enough. How could I possibly blame her?”

He paused for a moment, then changed the subject. ”But love is one thing, and wrongdoings need to be punished.

It doesn’t matter how she dealt with me, but if it ended up hurting Ling’er, that’s unacceptable. So, tell her when we get back to expect my wrath.”

Although Yue Xinru knew Ye Fei’s so-called punishment wouldn’t hurt Gu Yanping, she still couldn’t help but plead for her.

”Forget the punishment. Pingjie is already in a bad place. She was kicked out of the Gu family and is almost heartbroken...”

”Wait.” Ye Fei suddenly interrupted Yue Xinru. ”What do you mean? She was kicked out of the Gu family?”

”Yeah,” Yue Xinru nodded and recounted Gu Yanping’s recent experiences, emphasizing the despicable behavior of Gu Zheng.

Ye Fei clenched his teeth in anger. ”That guy with the Gu surname must be tired of living. How dare he go after my woman? And those people in the Gu family—do they even have any humanity left?”

For him, family bonds were always something he valued the most, so even hearing about someone else’s family issues made him furious.

”Yeah, those people will do anything for their interests,” Yue Xinru sighed.

”I know Pingjie values family a lot, but the more she does, the harder she gets hit. I don’t even know how to comfort her. Do you have any ideas?”

”Isn’t that easy?” Ye Fei replied without hesitation. ”I’ll just announce publicly that not only won’t I blame her, but I’ll also make her my woman. With that, those people will crawl back to her like dogs.”

Upon hearing Ye Fei’s words, Yue Xinru’s eyes brightened. Honestly, she was curious to see the faces of those who had kicked Gu Yanping out of the family home out of fear of Ye Fei when they heard this news.

However, knowing Gu Yanping well, she eventually shook her head. ”That won’t work. Pingjie would never accept it. Even if she likes you, she would never allow such a method.”

Ye Fei had just said that casually. Although he didn’t know Gu Yanping very well, he could tell from her background that she was a very proud woman who would never easily rely on anyone, even her man.

After thinking for a moment, Ye Fei came up with a second plan. ”Then let her make a comeback. With her talent, as long as she has enough funding, she can build a commercial empire stronger than the Gu family in a short time. Then those people will still come crawling back to her like dogs.”

To be honest, Ye Fei looked down on those people in the Gu family and didn’t even want to deal with them.

But he loved his woman dearly and always thought from her perspective. Since Gu Yanping valued her relationship with those people so much, he would let her have it.

With him around, those people would definitely, or rather, dare not hurt her feelings again.

As for Gu Zheng, since Gu Yanping couldn’t bring herself to do it, Ye Fei would take care of it.

Ye Fei’s method was the best for Gu Yanping at the moment. It not only gave her hope of reconciling with her family but also ignited her fighting spirit. However, there was still one difficulty: the funding issue.

Gu Yanping herself was out of money after being kicked out of the Gu family. If it weren’t for her good friend Yue Xinru, she would have trouble even eating. And Yue Xinru didn’t have much money either.

Being a bounty hunter was a dangerous but lucrative job. Yue Xinru’s skills were top-notch in this field, so she shouldn’t have been short of money.

But she was too principled. She refused to take jobs involving killing or targeting people who weren’t evil.

As a result, she only took on a few tasks a year and had saved just over ten million over the years.

Over ten million might be a fortune for an ordinary family, but with such a small amount, it would be impossible to build a commercial force stronger than the Gu family in a short time, no matter how talented Gu Yanping was. It would take at least ten or eight years, and by then, the opportunity would be long gone.

As a seasoned bounty hunter, Yue Xinru was not naive. But in front of Ye Fei, she instinctively didn’t want to hide anything. So Ye Fei quickly noticed the problem from her expression and asked, ”Is it about money?”

”Yeah,” Yue Xinru nodded and told him the situation of Gu Yanping and herself without any concealment.

”Here you go.” Ye Fei took out a gold card and gave the password to Yue Xinru. It was a supplementary card from his Swiss bank account.

The main card was with his mom.

Now, the profits from the Liu Group, the Ye Group, and the Qiu Feng Group were all deposited into this account. Ye Fei wasn’t sure how much was in there, but he knew that if all of it were used, it could cause a significant financial storm.

Yue Xinru hesitated for a moment, then shook her head. ”I don’t think that will work. With Pingjie’s personality, she probably won’t accept it.”

”Who said it’s for her? I’m giving it to you,” Ye Fei said with a smile.

Yue Xinru was taken aback and asked, ”Why are you giving it to me?”
