Urban Seduction: Housewives Club

Chapter 976: The Mother-Daughter Duo Who Could Charm a City

Aunt Zhang ran her palm over Ye Feiʼs face a few times. The tangible sensation reassured her slightly, but she still couldnʼt believe it was real, so she simply twisted her outer thigh hard.

To make sure she wasnʼt dreaming, Aunt Zhang had put all her strength into that twist. The intense pain made her gasp, but her face was filled with sheer delight.

The surprise Ye Fei had given her was just too big. Even after confirming it, Aunt Zhang still felt like she was in a dream and couldnʼt help but ask, ”Why did you think of coming here? Did you pass by on some business?”

”Aunt Zhang, saying that hurts my feelings,” Ye Fei said with a wry smile, then continued emotionally, ”I came here especially to see you. Both Siqi and I were raised by you. In our hearts, youʼre like another mother to us. Iʼve been so busy these past few months and neglected you, which already made me feel really bad. If I didnʼt come to see you during the New Year, wouldnʼt that make me a disobedient child? And if you got angry because of that and decided not to take care of us anymore, wouldnʼt I lose someone who cares about me?”

After speaking, Ye Fei hugged Aunt Zhang once more, and this time, he had no ulterior motives, just the affection a son would have for his mother.

These past few months, Aunt Zhang had also been feeling quite down. She knew about Ye Fei taking over Lingyun Society, so she understood why he hadnʼt been back to that courtyard to live.

However, not only did Ye Fei stop going, but later even Ye Yunqi didnʼt visit anymore, and Liu Yiru didnʼt ask her to go back to the villa either.

This made her feel insecure and anxious. When she had nothing to do, she would overthink things, worrying that Ye Fei and his sister had grown up and no longer needed her in the family.

In Aunt Zhangʼs heart, the five Ye children, especially Ye Fei and Ye Yunqi, were no different from her children.

Because Ye Fei and his sister were much younger than her daughter, she had grown even fonder of them.

She had already made up her mind that if Liu Yiru didnʼt ask her to go back after the New Year, she would go back on her own.

Even without a salary, as long as she could continue to take care of these kids, she would be willing.

Ye Feiʼs words instantly dispelled Aunt Zhangʼs anxiety and made her so happy that she felt a bit dizzy. She even forgot that they were still standing at the door.

Fortunately, it was the first day of the Lunar New Year, and all the neighbors on this floor had gone out to visit relatives.

Otherwise, if someone had seen her hugging a young, handsome guy so openly at the doorstep, who knows what kind of gossip might have spread?

After hugging Aunt Zhang for a while, Ye Fei suddenly sniffed the air and asked, ”Whatʼs that smell?”

Reminded by Ye Fei, Aunt Zhang also detected a burnt odor and exclaimed, ”Oh no, Iʼve got something cooking in the kitchen.”

With that, Aunt Zhang left Ye Feiʼs embrace and hurried towards the kitchen. Ye Fei followed her inside and closed the door behind him.

Although this was Ye Feiʼs first time here, he and Aunt Zhang were already as close as mother and son, so there was no need for any formalities.

Aunt Zhang didnʼt have to entertain him specially, and he didnʼt have to feel any discomfort.

Following Aunt Zhang, Ye Fei walked into the kitchen and saw that the countertop was filled with a lot of ingredients, many of which were semi-prepared, clearly ready to be cooked.

Ye Fei knew very well that Aunt Zhang lived here with only her daughter Lan Wen, and there was no need to prepare so much food.

Since he was an unexpected guest, he naturally thought of the reason and asked, ”Aunt Zhang, are you expecting guests today?”

Aunt Zhang turned off the stove, picked up the burnt dish, and poured it into the trash can while smiling and saying, ”Yeah, my daughter has finally got a boyfriend, and heʼs supposed to come over today to meet me.”

”Is that so?” Ye Fei responded casually, but he suddenly felt a bit uneasy, as if someone had taken something that belonged to him.

Then, Ye Fei laughed at himself. It seemed he was becoming more and more greedy when it came to beautiful women. He had only seen Aunt Zhangʼs daughter once when he was ten, and he could barely remember what she looked like now.

Yet, he still felt like she was his private possession. This kind of mindset was not good, and he needed to change it in the future!

Aunt Zhang turned her head and saw Ye Fei standing at the kitchen door like a wooden pole, so she laughed and said, ”Alright, you go sit in the living room. These are all semi-prepared dishes. I just need to cook them for a bit. You wonʼt be able to help much anyway.”

Ye Fei had never been polite with Aunt Zhang, who was like his own mother, and there wasnʼt anything he could help with here, so he agreed and went back to the living room.

Only now did Ye Fei have the chance to take a good look at this small home.

The furniture and other items were all very ordinary, but were kept very clean and tidy. It was unclear whether Aunt Zhang had organized everything after coming back or if her daughter was also the type of person who was very virtuous and hardworking. However, one thing was certain: this Lan Wen sister must have a great personality. Otherwise, if she were a very materialistic girl, with Aunt Zhangʼs high income, the house would have been made luxurious long ago.

In addition to the furniture, several photo albums were hanging in the living room. There were family photos of Aunt Zhang and her daughter, as well as a family portrait of the three of them. The Lan Wen in the photo was still a very young girl.

Aunt Zhangʼs husband had passed away nearly twenty years ago. The photo was very old, and the shooting conditions at the time were not very good.

But from this leading photo, Ye Fei could still see Aunt Zhangʼs stunning beauty when she was young. She was indeed as beautiful as his mother had been a few months ago.

As for the grown-up Lan Wen, she exceeded Ye Feiʼs expectations. In his memory, although she was a very pretty older sister, the impression had already faded.

Now, seeing her photo, Ye Fei realized that this older sister was not just pretty; she was breathtakingly beautiful.

Even compared to his sisters before he had ”nourished” them, she was no less stunning.

Especially her bright, big eyes, even in the photo, one could feel the overwhelming spirit. Ye Fei couldnʼt help but marvel in his heart: What a pair of extraordinary mother and daughter who could charm a city!

After admiring the photos for a while, Ye Fei casually turned on the TV and, as if in his own home, took a bottle of juice from the refrigerator. He drank it while casually flipping through the channels.

He hadnʼt watched for more than five minutes when he heard the door open, and then he saw a short-haired girl walk in.

This girl was extremely beautiful, with a pair of big eyes that were full of spirit and had a clear distinction between black and white.
