Urban Seduction: Housewives Club

Chapter 324 Siyaoʼs Gentleness (2)

Sitting on his sisterʼs small bed, Ye Fei took the glass of water she handed him and said, ”Sis, Iʼm sorry. Itʼs all my fault that youʼve been suffering.”

”Itʼs okay,” Ye Siyao replied. Instead of sitting on the chair beside him, she sat down next to Ye Fei, reached out her small hand, and gently patted his head, just as she used to when he was a child.

She smiled and said, ”Actually, I find this place very quiet and peaceful. Itʼs more suitable for me to practice my skills. In fact, I feel my internal energy has grown significantly these past few days.”

”Thatʼs good to hear,” Ye Fei said, suppressing the guilt he felt inside. ”Howʼs your martial arts school doing lately? Is it tough?”

”Itʼs going pretty well. Now that our reputation has grown, we have many more students.

Fortunately, the first batch of students is now capable of teaching some basics, so Iʼm not that busy,” Ye Siyao said.

”And seeing the school thrive day by day makes me very happy.”

”What about that ʼsenior studentʼ earlier?” Ye Fei hesitated for a moment but still asked. He felt that guy seemed to have some designs on his sister, which made him uncomfortable.

Ye Siyao laughed and said, ”Heʼs just a classmate from university. He joined the school when I first opened it. Because he came early, he always thinks heʼs the senior student. Heʼs just a spoiled rich kid. Donʼt pay him any mind.”

”Why not just kick him out? Keeping him here might make people think your school isnʼt good at teaching students,” Ye Fei said, still not wanting that guy to stay around.

”I tried to get rid of him a few times, but it didnʼt work, so I just stopped caring. Anyway, he alone canʼt represent the level of my school, and he does bring in some students, so heʼs somewhat useful,” Ye Siyao said. She was the kind of person who wouldnʼt bother with people or things she didnʼt care about.

In her eyes, Jin Dasun was just an extremely ordinary classmate, not even worth hating.

”Alright then,” Ye Fei said. From his sisterʼs expression, he knew that guy posed no threat to him, so he didnʼt want to talk about him anymore. He noticed that Siyao seemed to have changed a lot.

She used to care about him sincerely but rarely showed it.

But now it was different, and she seemed to smile more often. He took the opportunity to ask a question that had been on his mind for a long time, ”By the way, sis, why did you open this martial arts school? I remember you studied business management in university. Why didnʼt you help out at the company?”

What Ye Fei didnʼt know was that Siyaoʼs change was because of him. The closeness he had shown her once (see Chapter 8) had completely melted her heart and caused her to change unconsciously.

Why Ye Siyao chose to open her own martial arts school after graduation was originally a secret in her heart. But facing her beloved brother, she no longer wanted to keep it hidden.

She said, ”You know, I have a bit of a difficult personality. I was afraid that if I joined the company, it would affect the unity there. Thatʼs why I wanted to train myself. Opening a martial arts school, first of all, is because practicing martial arts is my hobby. Secondly, it allows me to meet more people and improve my social skills, preparing for when I eventually join the family company.”

These words had been weighing on Ye Siyaoʼs mind for a long time.

After graduating, she didnʼt join the company, and although her mother and Siqi didnʼt say anything, they were somewhat disappointed.

Ye Siyao also felt uncomfortable inside. She knew her family would understand if she explained her reasons, but because she wasnʼt good at communicating, she had never spoken up.

Now that she had finally confided in her brother, she felt a great sense of relief.

Ye Fei was surprised to learn that Siyao hadnʼt joined the company for this reason. He sighed inwardly and said, ”Sis, you really should have explained everything to everyone. We all care about each other, so we would definitely help you find a solution. You donʼt have to bear everything alone.”

”Didnʼt I just tell you?” Ye Siyao smiled.

”Alright, enough about me. Letʼs talk about you. Why did you have time to come see me today? Donʼt you have classes?”

”I took care of some gang-related matters today and didnʼt go to school,” Ye Fei said with a smile. ”After finishing up, I missed you and decided to come over.”

It was then that Ye Siyao realized her brother was no longer the weak little boy who needed her protection.

He was now the leader of the largest gang in Wang Hai City.

But could he, still under seventeen, really handle all of this? Concerned, she asked, ”Is gang business very troublesome?”

”Itʼs manageable. Grandpa Zhang usually helps with the management, so I donʼt have to worry too much,” Ye Fei replied honestly.

”I only need to make decisions when something major happens.”

Ye Siyao couldnʼt help but laugh at her brotherʼs words.

”Major? You donʼt mean things like world wars or alien invasions, do you? Most of the time, itʼs just minor stuff.”

”Come on, sis, donʼt underestimate me. I am now an acknowledged brilliant gang leader,” Ye Fei said.

Since Siyao ran a martial arts school and often interacted with people from all walks of life, Ye Fei didnʼt mind sharing some underworld matters with her.

He continued, ”Iʼve already trained a group of elites, and Iʼm about to take over the neighboring cities of Linhai and the coastal area. I believe it wonʼt be long before our Ye family isnʼt just the underground king of Wang Hai City, but the controller of the entire southeast underworld.”

Seeing the natural aura of dominance her brother displayed as he spoke, Ye Siyao was both moved and convinced by his words. She couldnʼt help but worry and asked, ”Can you manage so many places?”

”Donʼt worry. I wonʼt be managing alone. Besides me, there are three capable vice leaders,” Ye Fei said.

As he spoke, he suddenly had an idea. Since Siyao studied management and her cold demeanor wouldnʼt fit well in the family company, why not have her help manage the gang?

In the gang, her coldness wouldnʼt be a disadvantage but a form of authority. Moreover, managing a gang wasnʼt much different from running a business.

He believed she could do it well.

Once the idea came to him, Ye Fei couldnʼt stop thinking about it.

The more he thought, the more he felt Siyao was perfect for helping him manage the gang.

Although he already had Zhang Yide, Ye Xuan, and Baldy, and it seemed like they had enough manpower, Ye Fei knew the southeast was just the beginning. He was destined for greater achievements.

In the future, he wouldnʼt lack skilled fighters, but he would definitely need more managers.

If Siyao could help him run the headquarters while he focused on expanding, the Lingyun Society would surely grow faster.

”Sis, are you interested in helping me out?” Having made his decision, Ye Fei immediately asked for Ye Siyaoʼs opinion.

”Help you?” Ye Siyao was taken aback by her brotherʼs seemingly out-of-the-blue question. ”Help you with what?”

”Help me manage the gang,” Ye Fei explained his idea to his sister and said, ”I believe with our cooperation, the Lingyun Society will reach an unprecedented level of brilliance.”

Ye Siyao was taken aback by her brotherʼs ambition, but she also felt a sense of anticipation.

After thinking for a moment, she said, ”Let me think about it. I have no experience at all, and Iʼm afraid I might not do a good job.”

”Alright, thereʼs no rush. The southeast hasnʼt been fully stabilized yet. But once youʼve made up your mind, let me know right away. I can introduce you to everyone sooner and help you get familiar with things,” Ye Fei said, not wanting to pressure his sister but still reminding her, ”Experience isnʼt something youʼre born with. Didnʼt I start from scratch too?”

”Okay, Iʼll let you know as soon as Iʼve decided,” Ye Siyao nodded. In fact, she had pretty much made up her mind already, but she wanted to prepare herself before joining the Lingyun Society, so as not to disappoint her brother and affect his authority in the gang.

If Ye Fei knew that Siyaoʼs hesitation was because of this, he would probably be both amused and frustrated.

With his current standing in the gang, there was no way his authority would be undermined. He was confident that even if he decided to conquer an alien planet, his fanatical followers would follow him without hesitation.

Glancing at the time, Ye Siyao said, ”Itʼs getting late. Let me go arrange a few things first, and then weʼll have lunch together.”

”Sure,” Ye Fei replied without hesitation. He had nothing else to do at the moment.

Instead of going to school and being bored, he might as well spend some quality time with his sister.
