Urban Seduction: Housewives Club

Chapter 295: Almost a Kiss (2)

Staying home forever and being with him for life—what a blissful thought. But was it really possible? He would eventually get married and have children. And could she really marry someone else? The thought of herself in a wedding dress, facing a man who wasnʼt Ye Fei, felt like the end of the world.

”What I said isnʼt silly,” Ye Fei suddenly looked up, his eyes resolute. ”Sis, you have to believe me. I wonʼt let you leave. Only by staying home, by my side, can you truly be happy in this life!”

Tilting her face upward, Ye Siqi gazed at her brother, who was now half a head taller than her.

A hint of intoxication flashed in her eyes. He had truly grown up, not just physically but mentally as well.

At that moment, she no longer felt lost about her future. It seemed that as long as he was there, all problems would cease to be problems. He would definitely fulfill his promise!

As Ye Siqi was lost in this daze, Ye Fei was also captivated by her enchanting beauty. His head gradually lowered, his lips slowly approaching her sensual red lips, and Ye Siqi did not object.

Just as their lips were about to touch, the elevator door suddenly ”dinged” open. Ye Siqi quickly pushed Ye Fei away, her face flushing with embarrassment as she hurried out.

”Bang!” Frustrated, Ye Fei punched the elevator door. So close, just a second more, and he could have captured his sisterʼs first kiss.

Was there anything more infuriating in the world?

Hearing the loud noise behind her, Ye Siqiʼs face turned even redder. She was just as frustrated as Ye Fei.

In her dazed state, she could pretend it didnʼt matter, but once interrupted, she couldnʼt ignore the reality.

They were, after all, half-siblings sharing the same father. Falling in love with him was a mistake that shouldnʼt have happened, yet she didnʼt want to correct it. In fact, she wished to keep making this ”mistake.”

After this incident, Ye Siqi lost the mood to continue showing her brother around.

Once they returned to the top floor, she locked herself in her office, not even opening the door for Ye Fei. She sat alone inside, lost in thought.

Watching his sister sitting dazed in her office, Ye Fei cursed the elevator that he had already damaged in his frustration.

If only he had had one more second, the outcome might have been entirely different.

However, Ye Fei was confident that he could bring his sister back into his arms. He knew how important he was to her.

Otherwise, she wouldnʼt be so conflicted. After all, a simple kiss between siblings meant nothing. Only if she felt the same inappropriate emotions towards him as their mother did would she be so torn.

It wasnʼt until over two hours later that Ye Siqi finally emerged from her office. Seeing Ye Fei still standing outside her door, she felt a pang of guilt. ”Brother, Iʼm sorry. I shouldnʼt have left you out here.”

”Sis, Iʼm the one who should apologize,” Ye Fei gently took her hand. ”I shouldnʼt have been so impulsive.”

”Itʼs okay. Didnʼt I tell you before? Itʼs normal for someone your age to be interested in girls. But next time, the person canʼt be me,” Ye Siqi said with a gentle smile, though her heart felt a twinge of bitterness. Was his earlier action just a moment of impulsiveness? Had she misunderstood him? If he couldnʼt be her lifelong support, what meaning would her life have?

”Iʼm really regretting it now,” Ye Fei noticed the sadness in his sisterʼs eyes and decided to give her some hope. He didnʼt want her to guess his feelings just yet.

He knew that even if he confessed to her now, she wouldnʼt dare accept. So he decided to wait, giving her some time and himself some time as well.

Once he had fully won over their mother, he would launch a full-scale offensive.

With their mother as an example, he believed his sister would no longer be conflicted.

Ye Siqi was puzzled by her brotherʼs seemingly random remark and asked, ”Regret what?”

”Regretting why I was so slow just now.

If I had been just one second faster, heh, it would have been worth dying for!” Ye Fei grinned mischievously.

”Naughty boy, asking for a beating?” Ye Siqi playfully tapped his head with her knuckle, her mood inexplicably lifting.

”What are you two chatting about so happily?”

Just as the siblings were immersed in this special happiness, a gentle voice came from behind. It was their mother, who had just finished a meeting.

”We were discussing what to have for dinner,” Ye Fei lied without batting an eyelid.

Liu Yiru smiled, ”No need to think about it. Dinner is already arranged. Letʼs head out now.”

”Huh?” Ye Fei was taken aback. ”Itʼs only five oʼclock. Are we really having dinner this early?”

”Just follow me and stop asking so many questions,” Liu Yiru gave him a sideways glance and then asked Ye Siqi, ”Siqi, are you coming with us or driving separately?”

Ye Siqi, who clearly knew where they were going, thought for a moment and said, ”Iʼll drive separately. Itʼll be easier for me to come back to the company later.”

”Alright then. Leave the matters here to Yueʼer. Letʼs go now. Itʼs already past five, and Iʼm not sure if weʼll be late,” Liu Yiru said, leading the way downstairs.

With a head full of questions, Ye Fei followed his mother and sister downstairs and got into his motherʼs car. Finally, he couldnʼt hold back his curiosity any longer and asked again, ”Mom, where exactly are we going?”

”Why donʼt you take a guess?” Liu Yiru replied with a mischievous smile. She was already looking forward to the embarrassed look on her sonʼs face.

It pleased her to think that he would get a taste of his own medicine after the way he had teased her earlier that day. She had nearly been mortified by his antics at lunch.

Ye Fei grinned mischievously. ”Do you think our home isnʼt good enough, so you want to go out and get a hotel room with me? But bringing Siqi along might not be such a good idea, right?”

”Shut up!” Liu Yiruʼs face turned bright red at her sonʼs teasing.

She couldnʼt help but recall the intoxicating and soul-stirring moments they had shared, and for a moment, she almost lost control of the car and drove into the guardrail beside them.

Throughout the journey, no matter how many times Ye Fei asked, Liu Yiru refused to reveal their destination. It wasnʼt until the car came to a stop that Ye Fei realized the small villa before them was strikingly familiar. At that moment, he suddenly remembered—it was his young cousin Yun Chuqingʼs 13th birthday.

”Auntie, hello! Siqi, hello! Brother, hello!” Perhaps drawn by the sound of the car, Yun Chuqing, dressed in a princess dress and looking like a little angel, ran out of the villa to greet the three of them one by one.

”Qingqing, Iʼm sorry, Auntie is late,” Liu Yiru said with a gentle smile.

”Itʼs not late,” Yun Chuqing tilted her little head and replied, ”Even though youʼre the last to arrive, itʼs still before the time.”

”Good that weʼre not late. Letʼs go inside,” Liu Yiru said, taking Yun Chuqingʼs hand.

Yun Chuqing reached out her other hand to Ye Fei and then said to Ye Siqi, ”Siqi, Iʼm sorry, but Qing is not a thief, so I canʼt hold your hand.”

Thief?

Ye Fei, Liu Yiru, and Ye Siqi were all taken aback for a moment before realizing that the little girl was joking about Ye Fei not having a third hand.

Looking at this mischievous little imp, Ye Fei was reminded of Zi Maoʼs younger sister, Yaya.

He silently prayed that these two little troublemakers would never meet, lest they cause chaos. What he didnʼt know was that the two were already classmates and very good friends. His future was bound to be filled with more mischief.
