Urban Seduction: Housewives Club

Chapter 265: A Sudden Turn of Events (2)

”Then letʼs head back right away!” Ye Feiʼs heart began to race as well. It wasnʼt that he was afraid something would go wrong at home.

After all, Wang Hai City was now largely under his control.

Even if someone tried to stir up trouble, it would only be through public opinion, and it wouldnʼt pose any real threat to their safety.

What worried him was whether Liu Fengyi could withstand this blow. Moreover, anyone who dared to mess with Ye Fei would soon learn the price they would have to pay.

To be honest, Liu Fengyi held a place in Ye Feiʼs heart that was not as high as Liu Yiruʼs, but equally important.

All the women he had been involved with, including them, were deeply loved by Ye Fei. Any harm that came to them would cause him unbearable pain. It was just that Liu Yiru was his favorite among them.

After hastily packing up, the two prepared to leave. However, before departing, they couldnʼt help but take one last look around, feeling a sense of reluctance.

This place held immense significance for them. It was more than just a shelter for the past few days. Here, their souls had grown closer, and they had taken significant steps in their physical relationship as well.

After a moment of contemplation, Ye Fei suddenly extended his fingers like a sword and swiftly etched into the stone wall.

As stone fragments flew about, twelve bold characters, written in a flourish of dragons and phoenixes, were deeply inscribed: ”Ye Fei and his beloved Liu Yiru pledged their love here.”

The inscription filled Liu Yiru with a mix of shyness and sweetness. However, what truly astonished her was Ye Feiʼs strength. Her eyes widened in surprise as she stammered, ”You... your...”

”Are you referring to my finger strength?” Ye Fei chuckled and said, ”Let me tell you a secret—Iʼve recovered significantly over these past few days. I can now exert one-third of my peak strength.”

”But how did you recover so suddenly? We havenʼt even found the Ice Spirit Herb yet,” Liu Yiru said, genuinely happy for Ye Fei but puzzled about the reason for his recovery.

”Do you really want to know?” Ye Feiʼs smile looked mischievous.

Liu Yiruʼs heart skipped a beat.

Could his recovery be related to her?

At the thought, her face turned bright red, and she huffed, ”I donʼt want to know!”

”You have to know, whether you like it or not,” Ye Fei laughed heartily, whispering something into her ear and adding with a grin, ”Every time I drink it, I feel incredibly refreshed. So, youʼll have to feed it to me every day from now on.”

”Iʼm not talking to you anymore!” Liu Yiruʼs beautiful face was so red it seemed to be dripping with embarrassment.

She playfully pinched Ye Feiʼs waist and ran back to the spot where they had originally fallen, jumping up without a second thought.

Now that Ye Fei had recovered significantly, she wasnʼt worried about him not being able to follow.

Concerned about Liu Fengyiʼs situation, the two left the cave without any more playful banter.

They quickly returned to the small town, settled their bill under the astonished gaze of the innkeeper, and set off immediately.

”By the way, since youʼve already recovered, why didnʼt you tell me?” Liu Yiru asked after a while, puzzled. Given Ye Feiʼs thoughtfulness, he wouldnʼt have let her take risks if there was another way.

Ye Fei sighed, ”If it werenʼt for the trouble with my aunt, I wouldnʼt have wanted to tell you yet. Because once we go back, weʼll have fewer chances to be alone together.”

Ye Feiʼs words made Liu Yiru feel a pang of melancholy, but also a hidden sense of joy. His concern for their time together meant he truly cared for her, didnʼt it?

Driven by worry for her sister, Liu Yiru didnʼt rest during the journey.

By the evening of the next day, they had already arrived at the Liu family villa on the outskirts of Wang Hai City.

To their surprise, the villa was empty. After making a phone call, they learned that Ye Yunqi and the others had gone to see Liu Fengyi, who had moved out of Wang Hai Tower and was now living in a small villa not far from the Liu family residence.

Although she told Ye Yunqi and the others that she preferred living alone, Ye Fei knew she was waiting for him.

Eager to see her sister, Liu Yiru was about to rush over, but Ye Fei held her back.

Looking into Liu Yiruʼs beautiful eyes, now slightly red from fatigue, Ye Fei felt a pang of tenderness. ”Yiru, rest for a bit. Iʼll handle everything,” he said, gently kissing her dry lips.

Ye Feiʼs endearing nickname and affectionate gesture made Liu Yiruʼs eyes widen in surprise. She wondered why Ye Fei was still acting so intimately even though they were home.

Seeing her confusion, Ye Fei smiled and said, ”Did you forget? Youʼre my girlfriend now, and you canʼt deny it!”

”But...” Liu Yiru began, worried about what others might think if they were seen together like this. However, Ye Fei cut her off.

”As long as you have me in your heart and I have you in mine, it doesnʼt matter where we are,” Ye Fei said with a smile. ”So, with me by your side, you donʼt have to be so exhausted. You look worn out. If you donʼt rest soon, Iʼll be the one feeling heartbroken.”

”Okay,” Liu Yiru nodded meekly this time, leaning in to give him a quick kiss on the lips. ”Just be careful and donʼt act impulsively.”

”I will,” Ye Fei replied, kissing her again before picking her up and carrying her into her bedroom. He helped her take off her shoes and socks, and tucked her in. ”Iʼm off. Sleep well. Maybe when you wake up, everything will be sorted out.”

”I know, go ahead,” Liu Yiru said with a smile, watching Ye Fei leave her room. A wave of happiness washed over her. He seemed to genuinely care for her, not just her body.

As soon as he stepped out of the villa, Ye Feiʼs smile vanished, replaced by a cold, determined expression. This time, he was going to make it clear to everyone that no one could touch the people close to him.

Instead of rushing to Liu Fengyi, Ye Fei drove to the headquarters of Lingyun Association. Before seeing Liu Fengyi, he needed to get to the bottom of everything; otherwise, he wouldnʼt know how to comfort her.

The car sped through the streets, and within half an hour, Ye Fei arrived at the associationʼs headquarters. He walked straight into the basement.

After several days of intense work, matters in Wang Hai City had reached a temporary conclusion. Baldy and the others were now preparing to move the equipment to Linhai.

”Ye Fei, youʼre here?” Seeing Ye Feiʼs sudden arrival, Zhang Yide, who had been stationed there, understood his purpose. Before Ye Fei could ask, he said, ”Weʼve already investigated the matter concerning your aunt.”
