Urban Seduction: Housewives Club

Chapter 290 Return to Mother-Son Bond

As he stepped through the door, Ye Fei noticed that Liu Yiru, dressed in pajamas, was sitting in the living room, just like the night before he had set off for the capital.

A mix of joy and slight disappointment filled his heart.

Although he hoped their relationship could continue to develop in this way, he longed even more for her to be with him as his true mother, not as a pretend couple.

”Why are you back?” Seeing Ye Fei, a flicker of joy crossed Liu Yiruʼs eyes, only to fade quickly as she asked indifferently. She didnʼt know why, but despite having decided to cut off their inappropriate relationship, she still couldnʼt help but wait for him.

She had even deliberately asked Ye Siqi to stay at the company. It felt like a wife waiting for her husband to come home. She knew she shouldnʼt have such thoughts, yet she couldnʼt control herself.

After tossing and turning in bed for a long time, she ended up in the living room, her mind even more chaotic.

”Where else would I go if not home?” Ye Fei changed into his slippers at the door and sat down beside Liu Yiru with a smile. ”This is my home, and more importantly, youʼre waiting for me. Of course I have to come back.”

An ordinary sentence, yet it left Liu Yiruʼs mind in a daze.

To come home because she was waiting for him—what a simple happiness, yet one she knew she could never truly have. Every time she thought of this, her heart ached terribly.

Regaining her composure, Liu Yiru forced a smile that a mother would wear and said, ”Shouldnʼt you be staying with your aunt, taking care of her and her daughter?”

”Aunt and the others are fine, and with Yunqi there, everything will be alright,” Ye Fei replied with a smile.

”Letʼs not talk about that. My dear Yiru, itʼs been so long. Have you missed me?” As he spoke, Ye Fei reached out to put his arm around Liu Yiruʼs shoulders.

”Donʼt do that,” Liu Yiru blocked Ye Feiʼs arm and said coldly, ”And donʼt call me Yiru anymore. Iʼm your mother. Now that weʼre back home, we canʼt pretend to be a couple anymore.”

”Why?” Ye Feiʼs heart secretly rejoiced that his mother had returned to her original mindset, but he feigned disappointment and pain on his face.

”Didnʼt you say the other day that we could continue?”

Seeing the pain in Ye Feiʼs eyes, Liu Yiruʼs heart ached, but she forced herself to say, ”That was just after I got back and I hadnʼt thought it through yet. Iʼve been thinking these past few days, and what we did before was wrong.”

”Why?” Ye Fei pressed on.

”Why? Because Iʼm your mother, your biological mother. We can never truly be together!” Liu Yiru suddenly became agitated.

Ye Feiʼs heart hurt, but hers hurt even more. She knew all too well that her inappropriate feelings for her son had taken root in her heart and would never be let go. Ye Fei, however, was different. He was still young and his thoughts were not yet mature.

Once he married Lin Ling, his feelings for her would gradually fade. Then, she would have to silently bless him from behind.

The more she thought about it, the more her heart ached, and she finally couldnʼt hold back her tears.

Seeing this, Ye Fei was startled and held his motherʼs soft and delicate body in his arms, speaking softly, ”Mom, donʼt cry. Canʼt I just listen to you? Iʼll do whatever you say.”

Liu Yiru lay in her sonʼs familiar and warm embrace, her tearful eyes looking at his handsome face, and said, ”Then promise mom that you wonʼt pressure me anymore. Letʼs just be mother and son, okay?”

Ye Fei nodded gently, ”Yeah, Iʼll do whatever mom says.”

”Thatʼs good,” Liu Yiru let out a soft sigh of relief, but her heart was filled with even more pain and reluctance. Was he finally going to give up? This should have been the result she wanted the most, but why did her heart hurt so much?

”Mom, itʼs getting late. You should go rest,” seeing the tear stains on his motherʼs face, Ye Feiʼs heart ached. He suddenly regretted his decision, but he also knew that even if he stopped now, it would be too late. His motherʼs inappropriate feelings for him had already fully erupted.

If he gave up, it would only cause her more pain. So he had to grit his teeth and continue. As long as he endured the current entanglement, he could bring his mother eternal happiness!

”Okay,” Liu Yiru nodded, reluctantly leaving her sonʼs embrace and walking into her bedroom.

Lying in bed, Liu Yiruʼs mind kept flashing back to the scenes from their trip to Changbai Mountain together: the joy by the riverside, the passion in the hot spring, the warmth of sleeping in each otherʼs arms. Every moment was so intoxicating, but now, it all seemed to be slipping further and further away from her, and this increasing distance was something she had created herself.

Liu Yiru understood that if she just nodded, all of this could instantly return to her, allowing her to relive that endless happiness.

But she knew she couldnʼt. As his biological mother, she absolutely could not continue in that way. Otherwise, she would not only harm herself but also him.

At this moment, Liu Yiru once again resented her identity.

Why did she have to be his mother? However, she had never regretted having Ye Fei as her son.

This contradictory feeling made her heart ache more and more, so much so that she couldnʼt sleep no matter how hard she tried.

After tossing and turning for nearly two hours, Liu Yiru still had no sleepiness. Her increasingly chaotic mind suddenly made her sit up in bed.

At that moment, she desperately wanted to see Ye Fei. Just seeing him, even if she did nothing, would make her happy.

Quietly leaving her room, Liu Yiru approached Ye Feiʼs bedroom door and gently pushed it open, finding that his door was ajar.

Although the room was dark, nothing could escape Liu Yiruʼs eyes. Ye Fei was lying flat on the bed, staring blankly at the ceiling with his eyes wide open, lost in thought.

Liu Yiruʼs heart ached again, but she forced a smile and sat down on the edge of her sonʼs bed, asking gently, ”Why arenʼt you asleep yet?”

”Not sleepy. Just thinking about some things from the past,” Ye Fei smiled back at his mother, but his smile was more painful than crying.

At that moment, Liu Yiru suddenly regretted her decision.

Why think so much?

Wasnʼt it fine to be like before?

Now it caused both her and her son so much pain. As long as the two of them didnʼt tell anyone, what was the problem?

Under Ye Feiʼs miserable smile, Liu Yiruʼs heart wavered once again. She, who had been in the business world for so many years, had a very strong will, but her son was her only weakness.

”Get some good sleep. You have things to do tomorrow,” Liu Yiru gently stroked her sonʼs head and got up to leave.

However, Ye Fei grabbed her hand and pleaded, ”Mom, will you sleep with me? Iʼm not used to the feeling of not having you by my side.”

Liu Yiru sighed softly and slowly lay down beside her son. She realized that no matter how hard she tried, she simply couldnʼt refuse him.

Holding his motherʼs soft and sensual body, inhaling the faint fragrance from her, Ye Fei took advantage and said, ”Mom, itʼs been a long time since we were together. Can you help me again?”

”No way!” Liu Yiru firmly refused. She knew that although her heart was still struggling and she could maintain a bit of rationality, her body had already been completely conquered by him and couldnʼt resist him at all.

If they continued like this, she might not even be able to hold on to her mental determination and end up doing something that society wouldnʼt accept.

”But I really feel uncomfortable,” Ye Fei continued to beg without giving up.

”And these past few days, I feel like my strength has declined. If this continues, Iʼm afraid Iʼll fall into a coma again soon.”

”You can go to Ling. Although youʼre still young, special situations require special treatment. I believe Aunt Xiao wonʼt blame you when she finds out,” Liu Yiru said, forcing herself to say this sentence.

She had thought about it long ago, but when she made the decision, it felt like her heart was being hollowed out, as if she was about to lose the whole world.

However, for Ye Feiʼs sake, she finally made up her mind. She thought she could easily accept it since she had already made up her mind, but saying it still caused her so much pain that her face turned pale.

Ye Fei said miserably, ”But Ling said that I canʼt touch her until Iʼm at least eighteen.”

”What? Youʼve actually brought up this kind of thing to Ling before?” Liu Yiru felt a pang of jealousy and said with some anger.

Ye Fei, however, was not afraid of his motherʼs anger and instead laughed, ”What, are you jealous?”

Liu Yiruʼs face turned red, realizing she had lost her composure. It was normal for them to talk about such things since they were engaged. She shouldnʼt have reacted so strongly.

To cover her embarrassment, Liu Yiru playfully tapped her sonʼs head and scolded, ”What nonsense are you talking about? I just think sheʼs still young and you shouldnʼt be like this.”

”Is that so? But you just said to find her,” Ye Fei laughed. Seeing his motherʼs beautiful face turn even redder than before, he quickly added, ”Donʼt worry, we just casually mentioned it in a chat.

Many of our classmates are cohabiting, so we talked about it. Yunqi was there too.”

Hearing her sonʼs explanation, Liu Yiru felt a burst of relief, but then she scolded herself for being so petty. She continued, ”I understand. But now you can tell her about your situation. Iʼm sure sheʼll be willing to help you.”

”But I just like you to help me. I donʼt like anyone else!” Ye Fei said petulantly.

A hint of sweetness welled up in Liu Yiruʼs heart, but she still advised, ”Youʼre going to get married eventually. Itʼs bound to happen. How can you not like it?”

”Even so, how am I supposed to tell her?” Ye Fei asked. ”If she asks how I know this can help and who helped me before, what should I do?”

”Well...”

Liu Yiru hesitated. She hadnʼt thought about this before and now realized she had been too simplistic. She felt a pang of regret for not having Lin Ling come over from the beginning.

But thinking about the happiness she had felt a few days ago, she was also relieved that she hadnʼt done so.

Seeing his mother lost in thought, Ye Fei said triumphantly, ”So, you still have to help me in the future, and I can help you too.”

”I donʼt need your help!” Liu Yiruʼs face turned red again, and she quickly refused. But she had already made up her mind that until a new solution was found, she would continue to help her son.

After making this decision, she suddenly felt much better.

This made her wary, fearing she might fall back into the same trap. She was also troubled that after all her efforts, she still couldnʼt escape the things she had to do with him.

Moreover, since she would now be helping him as his mother, she felt an inexplicable excitement.

”So you agree to help me? Mom, youʼre so nice!” Ye Fei laughed excitedly.

Seeing her sonʼs smile, Liu Yiru felt both happy and conflicted. Was he just infatuated with her body? Otherwise, why had he been so upset just now, only to become cheerful again after she agreed to help?

”Why arenʼt you crying now? You looked so sad just a moment ago,” Liu Yiru couldnʼt help but feel wronged and said indignantly. She was genuinely upset that he seemed to be just infatuated with her body.

”Because Iʼve thought it through,” Ye Fei smiled. ”I felt like I was heartbroken just now, but now I realize that youʼre my mom and youʼll never leave me in this life. As long as I can be with you, does it really matter if weʼre a couple or not?”

”Humph, crying one moment and laughing the next. Youʼre such a child!” Liu Yiru scolded playfully, but the grievances in her heart vanished in an instant.

Ye Fei tightly hugged his motherʼs soft and delicate body, burying his head in her ample chest and cooing, ”Iʼm your child, after all. Good mom, help me now, okay?”

As he spoke, he took Liu Yiruʼs hand and placed it on his already reacting ”naughty part.”

Liu Yiru was already accustomed to this part of him. Upon contact, she instinctively grasped it tightly, only to pull her hand back as if she had been electrocuted, saying, ”Not now. Iʼm a bit tired.”

Although she had made up her mind and had been used to it before, she still couldnʼt accept it for the moment. After all, she was no longer his ”Yiru” now.

”Letʼs talk about it later,” Ye Fei said, understanding that his mother wasnʼt in the right frame of mind for such things. He had only been teasing her just now, and seeing her refusal, he didnʼt press further. Instead, he gently embraced her soft and delicate body and whispered, ”Mom, you should get some sleep.”

”Okay,” Liu Yiru nodded, wriggling slightly to find the most comfortable position in her sonʼs arms before closing her eyes gently.

Although none of the issues had been resolved, the comfort of lying in her sonʼs embrace allowed Liu Yiru to quickly drift off into a sweet slumber.

The next morning, Liu Yiru awoke from the sweetest sleep she had experienced in days to find herself once again facing away from her son. His large hand had, as before, slipped inside her pajamas, cupping one of her ample breasts and gently squeezing it.

The tingling pleasure in her chest made Liu Yiru reluctant to move for a moment. She silently reminded herself, He is your son, your own flesh and blood.

You must not linger on this feeling!

However, to Liu Yiruʼs frustration, her internal admonishment did not free her from the intoxicating sensation. Instead, it heightened her excitement, causing her sensitivity to increase exponentially.

Just a few gentle pinches from him were enough to make her dampen below.

With great reluctance, Liu Yiru bit her lip, carefully extracted her sonʼs hand from her pajamas, and got out of bed. She quickly walked back to her room, her legs tightly pressed together.

After a while, Liu Yiru emerged from her room, having taken a shower and changed her clothes, only to find her son already bustling in the kitchen.

”Ye Fei, itʼs already past seven. Thereʼs no need to cook. Letʼs just grab something outside,” Liu Yiru suggested, glancing at the clock. If they didnʼt leave soon, Ye Fei would be late for school, though she herself had no urgent matters.

Ye Fei, busy preparing some side dishes, laughed and said, ”Mom, donʼt worry. Iʼm not going to school today. Iʼm going to the company with you.”

”To the company? Why?” Liu Yiru was taken aback. Ye Fei had never shown any interest in business matters before. Why the sudden change?

Carrying two bowls of plain porridge and a few small dishes, Ye Fei emerged from the kitchen and set the table. ”Iʼm already in charge of Ye Group now, right? Although there are a few aunts managing things, I canʼt be completely clueless. I want to learn.”

Liu Yiru thought about it and realized he had a point. In the past, due to his health issues, no one had groomed Ye Fei for a managerial role.

Ye Group had Ye Yu, and Liu Group had Ye Siqi and her sisters.

Even Lin Ling, destined to be his wife, had been trained in management to assist him once he took over.

But now, with Ye Yu gone and Ye Feiʼs health improved, it was indeed time for him to gain some managerial experience.

So, she didnʼt object, unaware that Ye Fei had no real interest in management. His true motive was simply to stay by her side.

Though it was just plain porridge and a few side dishes, Liu Yiru found it incredibly delicious because Ye Fei had made it himself. She quickly finished her breakfast and took Ye Fei to the headquarters of Liu Group.
