New Age Of Summoners

After a few hours,

Currently, Ajax was sitting in an open ground on a simple looking chair that was made up of some rare metal.

In front of him, there were 100 old grey dwarves and beside him, there were three grey dwarves, one young, one middle-aged and one old.

”Protector, thanks for saving us from those demons.”

All the old grey dwarves bowed to Ajax as they thanked him.

”Even though I protected you from the five demon kings, your three ancient artifacts and your faith in me as a protector helped me defeat the high-level demon king.”

Ajax nodded his head as he replied to the 100 old grey dwarves who stood in a 10 x 10 order.

What he said was right. If not for the grey dwarves’ absolute faith in him, he would not become the true protector and he had to escape.

”Advisor Tunmil, can you give me brief information about the weapon refinement capacity and capacity of the 100 towns?”

In the next moment, Ajax asked the old dwarf beside him.

He was an advisor for the previous protector and he blamed himself for not doing his job properly even when did everything he could.

However, the previous protector became greedy with time and there was nothing he could do about it.

Nevertheless, he wanted to guide the new protector and try his best not to become Ajax like the previous protector.

”Protector, there is basically no difference in town except for a small change in population.”

The old dwarf turned his face towards Ajax and started explaining, ”In every town, there is a weapon refiner who can refine at least one low-level heaven grade weapon or artifact per week; however, by doing so, they will be tired and exhausted.”

”So, I suggest to the protector that it is better if you allow them to rest the alternate week….”

”Huh? Wait a second.”

Ajax frowned when he heard the old dwarf’s world and interrupted him.

”Why the hell do you need to refine daily?”

Ajax asked the old advisor while looking at the 100 old dwarves in front of him.

Even though the dwarves like refining the weapons and the artifacts, that doesn’t mean they have to refine them daily, right?

So, Ajax asked about it.

”It is because the protector doesn’t only have the job to protect the grey dwarf world but he has to develop this world too and to do that, the protector needs to gather more and more resources related to world development.”

”Since we all excel in refining the weapons, the previous protector used the ’Ancient trading mirror’ to sell the weapons we refined to other smaller worlds in exchange for those world development items. At least that’s what we thought; however, he exchanged all the weapons we refined for the cultivational resources to increase his cultivation...sigh.”

By the end of his explanation, the old dwarf Tunmil clenched his fists before releasing a long sigh.

’What a fool. He would have just developed this world instead of preferring his own cultivation.’

After learning about the previous actions, Ajax mocked him because as long as he developed the smaller grey dwarf world into a normal grey dwarf world, he could exchange items with normal worlds.

’He was such a short-sighted person. I wonder how he became a king realm being?’

Ajax wondered about the previous protector and asked the old man, ”Which race does this previous protector belong to?”

”I don’t know whether you believe us or not, protector, he belongs to the great titan race.”

Tunmil looked at Ajax for a brief second while answering his question.

’What?’

Ajax was shocked when he heard the old dwarf’s reply and felt it was unbelievable.

It is because the great titan race belongs to one of the most powerful races in the entire universe.

Moreover, when he imagined how short-sighted a great titan member was, his view on the great titans had changed.

’It is possible to have defects in everyone, there is no exception for the great titan race also.’

Ajax shook his head and stopped thinking about the previous protector.

Even though he had many questions as to where did the great titan had come from? and why would he bother with such a smaller world? And many more.

At the same time, he also understood why all the grey dwarves acknowledged the previous protector easily.

Generally, with a high race protector, all the grey dwarves thought their world would be developed soon.

What they didn’t expect was that the great titan was a very greedy and short-sighted one who only cared about his own cultivation.

Even though the protector could be almost invincible in the grey dwarf world, when he was outside the world, he had to rely on his original cultivation. So, the great titan being was doing everything he could to increase his cultivation.

”So, the previous protector asked you to refine daily?”

”Yes, protector.”

”Then, what is the difference between him and the demon kings?”

Ajax scoffed at the previous protector who took everything for granted and made the grey dwarves as slaves.

”If he doesn’t complete the target, then he will just scold us and in the worst case, he will beat us; however, the demons will directly kill the children and those who can’t refine the weapons or artifacts.”

Even though Ajax was not expecting the old dwarf to reply to his question, the old dwarf still explained the difference between the previous protector and the demon kings.

”Sigh”

Ajax felt pity looking at the dwarves in front of him and shook his head before saying, ”Everyone, listen to me. From today onwards you don’t have to force yourself to refine and I will not set any deadline. You can refine whenever you want and you can rest whenever you want.”

’What?’

The 100 old dwarves in front of Ajax along with the advisor and his two followers were shocked when they heard Ajax’s words.

”As you know, the ’Ancient trading mirror’ is broken a little and I can’t trade anything with other smaller worlds. Even if it was good, I will not force you to refine.”

Soon, Ajax gave his orders and explained that he would not force them as the new protector of the grey dwarf world.

”Protector, there is another thing I have to mention to you.”

Suppressing his shock from Ajax’s previous words, the old advisor Tunmil looked at Ajax as he continued, ”The five demon kings used some kind of evil artifact to destroy all the farmlands of this world and currently, we are running low on food. So, we need to repair the ’Ancient trading mirror’ as soon as possible to started trading for food to keep everyone alive.”

’What?’

This time, it was Ajax’s turn to be shocked and finally understood how cruel the demons could be.

”Yes, Protector. With the recent supplies we got from the demon kings, if we use it sparingly, we can last for a month.”

Tunmil nodded his head as he replied to Ajax with a bitter look on his face.
