New Age Of Summoners

Chapter 1340 Friends and Followers are not ʼSameʼ

Elder Boron guessed that Ajax thought about being a follower. So, he continuously said one thing after another about being a follower and gave a definition for ʼFollowerʼ.

ʼ...ʼ

As for Ajax, he was speechless hearing Elder Boronʼs definition of the follower.

”As long as you become the Emperor of the world, all the cultivators in the Purple stone world, by default, will become your followers.”

Elder Boron was a little agitated; however, he controlled his emotions as he continued, ”However, not every follower will follow you unconditionally and they might even betray you. So, you need trusted followers who have your back in a fight. Just like how your father had me.”

After saying that, Elder Boron didnʼt say anything more as he remained silent while standing in his place.

”...”

Ajax looked at Elder Boron for a moment before replying, ”I understood what you are saying, grandpa. I will remember these words.”

”Good. As long as you remember these words, it is good.”

Elder Boron was happy that Ajax understood what he was trying to tell. So, he nodded his head.

”However, for me, followers, friends and family are not the same and I am not planning to make everyone into my followers.”

Just as Elder Boron was feeling happy about Ajaxʼs understanding, Ajaxsʼs reply made him speechless.

ʼSigh…like father, like son. No one can change their minds once they decide. I will let him do whatever he thinks is right as he is no longer a little kid from the orphanage.ʼ

Elder Boron knew that there was nothing he could do and decided to leave it to Ajax.

”Brother Jason, Damon and Hector, letʼs stay as friends just like before.”

Ajax was serious when he said these words to Jason and others.

”...”

Jason and others looked at Elder Boron who remained silent and then looked at Ajax before nodding his head.

Just like Elder Boron, they knew that Ajax was stubborn with some things.

Nevertheless, they were more than happy to be friends with Ajax not because he was the son of the previous emperor of the Purple stone world; instead, he grew up with them for 14 years and had great memories together as friends.

”By the way, I have something to inform you, grandpa.”

There was complete silence for a few minutes before Ajax said to Elder Boron while maintaining a serious look on his face.

”Huh?”

Elder Boron raised his brows as he looked at Ajax and asked, ”What is it?”

”There will be a demon invasion on the Ylercester province at any time now.”

Until now, Ajax was completely immersed in learning his past and forgot about the demon invasion for a while.

So, when there was complete silence around them, Ajax suddenly thought of the demonic invasion and wanted to inform Elder Boron because he was the current strongest cultivator in the Purple stone world.

”What? A demon invasion on the Ylercester province?”

Elder Boron became a little furious as he looked at Ajax and replied, ”Donʼt worry. I will take care of it.”

”Even though I am not in my peak form, I can handle the demon invasions without any problems.”

Elder Boron was furious but he remained calm because he had handled hundreds of demonic invasions in his life. So, he was not worried much about it.

Moreover, unlike the previous invasion, this time he knew about the demon invasions. So, he could even make some good preparations for the demon invasion.

”I know you are not new to the demon invasions in the Purple stone world; however, I donʼt think you can handle this demon invasion, grandpa.”

Ajax said in a low voice fearing that he might make Elder Boron furious because he knew Elder Boron was a short-tempered cultivator.

”What did you say?”

As expected, Elder Boron became furious as he shouted at Ajax, ”I canʼt handle a demon invasion? Really? Grandson, you underestimate a lot, donʼt you?”

”Itʼs nothing like that.”

Ajax didnʼt get used to calling Elder Boron using ʼGrandpaʼ. So, he avoided using ʼGrandpaʼ and tried to calm Elder Boron.

”The demon invasion this time is huge. It starts with Ylercester province; however, their plan to completely dominate the Purple stone world with this invasion.”

Ajax explained the important points about the demon invasion as he knew Elder Boron would not listen to everything he said when he was angry.

”What? Planning to conquer the entire Purple stone world in a single invasion? Impossible.”

Elder Boron calmed down a little; however, when he thought about it, he felt it was impossible and he flared again.

From ancient times, there were countless demon invasions and invasions from other races; however, the main goal of these invasions was to kill as many powerful cultivators in the Purple stone world as possible.

Among these countless demon invasions, some of them succeeded in their invasions; however, it was not enough to completely dominate the Purple stone world.

So, Elder Boron felt it was impossible to conquer the entire Purple stone world in a single sweep unless multiple greater worlds wanted to conquer it.

”Yes. The five demon emperors are sending three of their personal apostles each. So, there will be a total of 15 demon emperors.”

Ajax nodded his head and continued, ”Currently, I guess your cultivation is around the low-level emperor realm as well because of your injuries; however, I think you can handle at least five of them.”

He didnʼt waste any time as he went a little deeper in explaining about the demon invasion, making Elder Boron raise his brows.

”How do you know all these things?”

Elder Boron was shocked for a moment as he continued, ”Is it because of the artifact that your father gave? No, it is not possible.”

For a moment, Elder Boron thought that the system aka artifact that Ajax received from his father, informed him about all these things; however, when he thought a little deeper about these things, he shook his head and rejected them without thinking much.
