New Age Of Summoners

Chapter 1339 Definition of Follower

Elder Boron trained Jason and others with a motive and he felt it was finally time for him to know whether his efforts to train them would fulfil his motive or not.

”Ajax needs some good and trusted followers who would help him in his journey. So, it is time for you to make a decision as to whether you will help Ajax or just focus on your own journey.”

Elder Boronʼs face was calm as he looked at Jason and others as he asked them to make their decision.

”Decision?”

Jason and others were not surprised with Elder Boronʼs words as they had already expected something similar to this when he was training them using rare and invaluable treasures on them.

He saved them, changed their talents, trained them in rare cultivation techniques, helped them undergo many fights in the wilderness and in the other smaller worlds.

Not only that, Elder Boron even gave them invaluable cultivation treasures that would make even the top sects and great families envy.

So, they have already made a decision long ago that whatever Elder Boron asks them to do, they would do without any hesitation.

ʼWhat the…ʼ

However, Ajax felt awkward with Elder Boronʼs words because he already considered Jason and others as his friends. So, he wanted to say something but he was unable to say anything.

ʼDing,

The host is temporarily paralyzed by an outside force.

It didnʼt take much time for Ajax to learn the reason for that as he looked at Elder Boron and thought, ʼLooks like he is planning something.ʼ

At the same time, he was also shocked at how powerful Elder Boron was because he didnʼt even know he was paralyzed until the system informed him the reason behind his lack of speech.

Even though he wanted to tell Jason and others that they donʼt have to become his followers; instead, they could continue to stay as friends as usual, he was not in a position to do anything now.

So, he looked at Elder Boron to see what he was trying to do with Jason and others.

”We will, of course….”

”Before you give me the answer, I will say something.”

However, before they could finish their words, Elder Boron interrupted their words as he continued, ”There is no need for you to make a decision just because I helped you. Remember this, you donʼt owe me anything and even if you chose to not become his followers, I will not hold it against you.”

”We know you will not hold it against you, Elder Boron.”

Jason nodded his head with a smile on his face as he continued, ”I am willing to become his follower and help him as much as I can in his cultivation journey.”

”We will do the same.”

Damon and Hector also nodded their heads as they sincerely replied to Elder Boron before bowing to Ajax.

”Good.”

Hearing those words, Elder Boron was satisfied because he could tell that those words came from the bottom of their hearts and they were not lying at all.

”As of today, your training comes to an end and you can brag you are the disciples of a guardian. From now on, you have to follow Ajax and take care of him, protect him from all dangers.”

Elder Boron looked at Ajax for a moment and said a few words to Jason and others that made the three young cultivators both excited and a little sad.

They are excited about gaining the title ʼGuardianʼs personal disciplesʼ and they were sad because their training has ended today.

Even though Elder Boronʼs training was very cruel, it helped them a lot in increasing their battle prowess and they wanted to undergo more training to become even more powerful just like Elder Boron.

”Thank you for taking care of us until now, Master.”

Jason and others gave Elder Boron a deep bow as they thanked him for teaching him how to survive in this world.

”Hm”

Elder Boron nodded his head without any hesitation as he continued saying, ”After this contest, I will be leaving this world. So, donʼt look for me when you are in trouble; instead, take care of it on your own. Even if it costs your lives, you have to protect Ajax because the entire Purple stone worldʼs future depends on Ajax.”

”If something happens to him, the future of the Purple stone world also disappears as it will be dominated by the organizations from the other worlds.”

On the surface, Elder Boron looked calm and composed; however, in his heart, he was also a little troubled when he said those words.

”Of course, we will protect him, master.”

All three of them nodded their heads as they looked at Ajax and called, ”Master.”

ʼWhat the..hell. I want friends not followers.ʼ

As for Ajax, he was still paralyzed and unable to speak.

”Release”

Elder Boron revealed a slight smile on his face as he said a single word which made the paralyzing effect on Ajax disappear.

”Grandpa, what are you doing? I want friends not followers.”

As he was waiting to say these words for a while but couldnʼt because of the paralyzing effect. So, when the effect disappeared, he shouted out loud.

”Ajax, even though I made them your followers, it depends on you on how you will treat them and how they treat them.”

Elder Boron didnʼt want to explain much; however, he ended up giving an example.

”Even though your father is my disciple and son-in-law, when he became the emperor of the Purple stone world, I became his follower.”

”Do you think being a follower is a lowly status? If you think so, then you need to change your perspective.”

”A follower is someone who will stay with you through thick and thin, support your decisions and ideals, and in the end, he will help you accomplish those ideals.”

”The more followers you have, the sooner and easier it will be for you to accomplish those ideals.”
