New Age Of Summoners

Chapter 1328 Act of kindness

ʼThen the participant from the lower province will be eliminated in case there was no exchange of moves between them.ʼ

The old minister spoke in a calm voice as though it was common to eliminate the participant from the lower province.

ʼWhat?ʼ

ʼHow can there be such a rule?ʼ

ʼThat rule is absurd.ʼ

ʼThey are basically making him a murderer.ʼ

ʼAnyway, who is going to bet with me? I say that Ajax will kill Prince Dennis for sure.ʼ

ʼI am also sure that Ajax will kill him.ʼ

Initially, the onlookers were surprised with the old ministerʼs words; however, soon they started guessing and betting whether Ajax would kill Prince Dennis or not.

Everyone was sure that Ajax would definitely kill Prince Dennis because the rewards of the fourth round would be great and it would be very hard to resist the temptation.

”Old minister, what are you saying? My son is unconscious and it is obvious that he has lost the fight.”

Even though King Thomas was angry regarding his sonʼs defeat in the hands of a level 2 elite general realm cultivator, he didnʼt want his only son to die here.

So, he was serious when he said those words to the old minister who became full in charge of the Flderton kingdom after King Louieʼs spirit consciousness was destroyed and his son, Prince Diego died in the hands of Princess Daphne.

So, basically, the kingdom fell into his hands.

”King Thomas, I know that rule seems absurd but this rule was followed from ancient times. So, I canʼt let your son out of the secret realm unless he forfeits the match.”

Even though the old minister was shivering deep inside his heart when he heard King Thomasʼ words, he looked at the black-robed old man and replied in a calm tone.

Since he was following the rules of the contest that were coming from ancient times, the old minister was confident that the ʼProtector of the skiesʼ would protect him in case King Thomas plans to attack him.

”King Thomas, I will ask you one question. Please give an honest answer.”

When King Thomas was about to turn crazy and attack the old minister, the guardian of the Purple stone world spoke all of a sudden, making the old minister of the Flerton kingdom heave a sigh of relief.

”Guardian, please make an exception and let my son come out of the secret realm.”

King Thomas looked at the black-robed old man as he continued, ”I will answer anything.”

King Thomas, just wanted to save his sonʼs life at any cost and for that, he didnʼt mind answering any question.

Moreover, the guardians have the power to make exceptions in the contest. So, he fell to his knees as he begged the guardian.

”As I said, just answer my question honestly and I will bring your son out of the secret realm.”

The old man nodded his head.

”Please ask, guardian.”

King Thomas saw hope for his son as he hurriedly nodded his head.

”If, by chance, Ajax was in the place of your son, will you oppose this so-called absurd rule?”

Looking at the flying mirror, the old man asked King Thomas in a calm and composed manner.

”I..I would have still called it an absurd rule. Just remove that rule, guardian.”

King Thomas frowned for a moment when he heard the question; however, he swiftly answered while trying to put an honest look on his face.

”Really?”

The black-robed old manʼs voice contained a hint of mockery as he looked at the three protectors and others before asking, ”So, how many of you think that this is the honest answer of King Thomas?”

ʼ...ʼ

No one replied as they looked at each other for a moment before shaking his head.

It was obvious that no one believed that King Thomas was such a kind person that would oppose the rule if it was not his son.

”Sigh…if you gave an honest answer, I would have brought your son by making an exception regarding the contest rules. Your son is dying because of you.”

The black-robed man sounded a little serious, making everyone keep quiet, including King Thomas, who seemed to lose all colour on his face and his eyes looked lifeless.

”However, if your sonʼs opponent is kind enough, he might live.”

Of course, King Thomas didnʼt believe that was going to happen but still looked at the flying mirror.

.....

In the secret realm,

”I canʼt kill such a pitiful person though.”

As for Ajax, he didnʼt have any thoughts of killing Prince Dennis who was currently unconscious; instead, he felt pity.

Even though he has such a powerful cultivatorʼs law, it was not in his control and triggered on its own, making Ajax shake his head.

”I give up”

After looking at Prince Dennis for a moment, Ajax used his escape space ring to come out of the secret realm.

ʼWhat?ʼ

ʼWhy did he forfeit now?ʼ

ʼI think he got scared because of the revenge from King Thomas.ʼ

ʼAre you sure? As long as he reaches the fifth round, he will be protected by the guardians of the world.ʼ

ʼYes. So, there is no need to worry about revenge as King Thomas canʼt do anything against him.ʼ

ʼLooks like something is wrong with that kidʼs head.ʼ

ʼSigh…what a pity.ʼ

All the onlookers were shocked and shook their heads when they saw Ajax appear in the middle of the colosseum.

”What? Why? How?”

King Thomas could not believe his eyes as he looked at Ajax who was standing in the center of the colosseum.

ʼSwooshʼ

In the next second, King Thomas came to his senses as he rushed towards Ajax.

”Th…thank you for sparing my sonʼs life.”

Standing in front of Ajax, King Thomas deeply bowed to Ajax as he thanked Ajax from the bottom of his heart.

”Huh? Your son?”

Ajax raised his brows for a moment before saying, ”Itʼs nothing but I hope you help your son get that cultivatorʼs law under control.”

As soon as he finished his words Ajax didnʼt bother to stay in the colosseum as he walked towards the place where Darbaudr and others were sitting.

Since he got eliminated from the contest, Ajax decided to sit with others while waiting for the demon invasion to start.

”What?”

King Thomas was shocked when he heard Ajaxʼs reply and wondered, ʼWhy is he not asking anything in return for the rewards?ʼ

Until now, King Thomas never saw someone who helped him without expecting anything in return. So, he was surprised by Ajax.

”Young man, please wait.”

Nevertheless, King Thomas didnʼt want Ajax to lose the rewards from the contest just because of his son. So, he stopped Ajax and asked, ”Why do you give up your rewards just like that?”

He was confused and curious as he wanted to know why he didnʼt kill his son when it was completely legal.

”This world needs someone like your son to protect in the future. So, it is better for him to live rather than die here.”

Ajax stopped in his tracks as he replied without turning back.

”But, the current state your son is in, where he canʼt even control his cultivatorʼs law, he will become the disaster of the world. So, you better train him properly.”

As soon as he finished his words, Ajax left the colosseum and sat with others.

Even though Ajax didnʼt like Prince Dennis, he felt Prince Dennis will become a good follower for him once he learns how to control his cultivatorʼs law.

Moreover, once Prince Dennis becomes more powerful in the future, only Ajax could control him because his cultivatorʼs law ʼFire devourʼ is the bane of Prince Dennisʼ cultivatorʼs law ʼFire burstʼ.

ʼLetʼs see whether he will change after today or will he still remain as the arrogant young master.ʼ

Actually, Ajax just wanted to send Prince Dennis in the ʼSecond chanceʼ system feature to change Prince Dennis into a completely new person who would be loyal to him.

However, because of so many powerful cultivators watching him right now and he wanted to see Prince Dennis change by the act of ʼSparing his lifeʼ.

”...”

King Thomas felt something he didnʼt feel for a long time in his heart as he hurriedly turned towards the black-robed old man.

”Sir Guardian, can you please eliminate my son and let that young man enter in my sonʼs place?”

There was no hesitation when King Thomas said those words to the old man as he continued, ”Earlier, I felt it was not wise to be kind; however, now, I learned that becausse of that kindness my son is alive. So, I am repaying the young manʼs kindness to the best of my ability.”

ʼWhat the…ʼ

ʼIs he really King Thomans?ʼ

The powerful cultivators who were sitting on the huge stage, who knew about King Thomas, were shocked to hear such words coming from King Thomas.

Nevertheless, he didnʼt say anything out loud and waited for the guardianʼs reply.
