Apocalypse Descent: Farming with My Harem

Chapter 157 - 118: Ice Nest Monster Attacks, Arrow Tower Crushes!

After reading these updates, Cao Xing had a plan in mind.

“Well, since the rewards from the exchange store are so plentiful this time, I don’t need to rush to redeem the Silver Treasure Chest.”

“I’ll save up the Ice Dragon Marks first, and try to exchange them for a few Golden Treasure Boxes. Then I’ll use any extra Ice Dragon Marks to redeem blueprints!”

Meanwhile, not just Cao Xing, but almost all survivors saw the game updates.

The chat channels became a complete mess.

The World Channel was constantly refreshing with a flood of information.

And the same was true for Area 174 where Cao Xing was located.

Jiang Guoxu: “Damn it! The territory protection is gone, and everything has become more realistic. But my territory is at the peak of a 9,000-meter high mountain! One gust of wind and it will blow my Lord’s Hut away!”

Zhang Zhentian: “Sorry for you, buddy above, I’m just as miserable. As soon as the territory protection period ended, a Giant Troll rushed into my territory and went on a rampage. If I hadn’t run fast, I would’ve been smashed into mincemeat like those Polar People!”

Lou Hongyan: “Oh my God! There are two Ice Nests that crashed near my territory! A lot of monsters appeared, help!”

Yuan: “Hey, don’t just shout, report your coordinates and see if there’s anyone nearby who can save you.”

Gao Qu: “Hahaha! Finally, the territory protection ended, Wang Ru, you cheating bitch, I’m going to kill your whole family!”

Xiong Tianyou: “I’m a 176 male, any territory of a good brother willing to take me in?”

…

Seeing these comments, Cao Xing felt a sense of realization.

Many survivors were facing various crises because of the game changes.

They were all asking others for help.

Suddenly, Cao Xing remembered that Ji Xinyue contacted him yesterday, saying she was being haunted by a group of Resentful Spirits.

She asked Cao Xing if he could help her with a task.

Moreover, Ji Xinyue seemed to be in a really bad situation.

He didn’t know if she was still alive after a night had passed.

With that in mind, Cao Xing sent a private message, “Are you still alive?”

He got straight to the point.

Moments later, a voice message came through.

Clicking play, it was a slightly frustrated but somewhat defeated female voice.

“Cao Xing us, are you really wishing for me to die like that?”

It was soft, and the voice sounded quite pleasant.

Cao Xing chuckled and replied, “Not really, it’s just that what you told me yesterday seemed so serious, I thought you’d have bitten the dust by today.”

Ji Xinyue paused for a moment, then replied, “I don’t know what happened either…”

“Those undead were wandering in the snow in the middle of the night. I thought I’d be a goner by dawn.”

“But surprisingly, the undead left as soon as it lit up.”

“Although I don’t know if they’ll come back tonight, luckily, I survived another day…”

At this point, Ji Xinyue tentatively asked, “Cao Xing us, can you come today?”

Her tone carried a hint of hope.

Haunted by these undead, Ji Xinyue hadn’t had a good night’s sleep in ages, feeling on the brink of a nervous breakdown.

Cao Xing pondered for a moment.

To be honest, he was indeed interested in this task, after all, it concerned an ancient Underground Tomb and a hidden treasure beneath it.

Moreover, Cao Xing had something to do today.

That was, taking advantage of the end of the newbie protection period to go over and take Fang Long’s territory down.

Cao Xing thought to himself, “That Fang Long guy definitely needs to be eliminated, but I heard from those two survivors that he might have traded his territory to some Hunters.”

“The Hunters’ forces are vast and not to be underestimated.”

“Last time, to kill me, they even sent Elite Killers of the third-tier.”

“This means that there might be even more powerful Hunters in Fang Long’s territory.”

Although, with Cao Xing’s current strength, he was confident he could take them down as long as they weren’t above third-tier elites.

But unexpected incidents could happen.

If there were stronger above third-tier elites in Fang Long’s territory, crashing into it would be like a mouse licking a cat’s nose—asking for death.

After thinking it over, Cao Xing decided to head to Ji Xinyue’s place to complete the task first, see if he could level up his strength, and then find a way to deal with Fang Long’s territory.

With that plan in mind, he replied, “Got it, I’ll come over to you today.”

Receiving Cao Xing’s response, Ji Xinyue was overjoyed!

“That’s great, thank you, Cao Xing us, you are a lifesaver for my whole family!”

Cao Xing smiled, “Don’t get too happy too soon. We might not be able to complete the task.”

“Just so you know, if that Demon is too strong, I’ll just take off with my people.”

Hearing Cao Xing’s response, Ji Xinyue wasn’t upset but replied instead, “That’s only natural. I’d be very grateful just to have you come over, Cao Xing us.”

“If it doesn’t work, I’ll just consider myself out of luck.”

She seemed to have a pretty open mindset, and even Cao Xing looked a bit more favorably upon her.

After hanging up the call, Cao Xing was about to survey the territory.

Then, suddenly, he heard two loud crashes in his ears.

“Boom! Boom!”

The entire territory shook.

Cao Xing realized there might be another Ice Nest appearing outside his territory.

“On alert!”

Following Cao Xing’s warning, all the combat personnel in the territory rushed out of their rooms immediately.

They all prepared for battle.

Liu Muxue beside him said worriedly, “Axing, what’s going on?”

Cao Xing shook his head, “Don’t worry, it might just be another Ice Nest coming down. Let’s go out and take a look.”

The two quickly moved to the edge of the territory, then climbed up the wall via the wall steps.
