Apocalypse Descent: Farming with My Harem

Chapter 155 - 116: Sarahʼs Request, Novice Protection Period Officially Lifted!_3

Liu Muxue suddenly flashed a sly smile.

Cao Xing also knew that Liu Muxue might have figured something out.

A woman’s intuition was always accurate.

He awkwardly said, “Muxue…”

However, Liu Muxue extended a finger and placed it on Cao Xing’s lips.

In the next moment, she directly snuggled into Cao Xing’s embrace.

After another bout of passion, the woman in his arms finally fell asleep contentedly…

On the bed, Cao Xing wiped the cold sweat from his forehead.

He couldn’t help but sigh internally, “Thankfully, upgrading in this world enhances physical fitness, otherwise, even I would struggle to keep up…”

…

Nothing else happened in the latter half of the night.

Nearly 90% of the survivors had entered dreamland.

However, this world was quietly undergoing some kind of change.

The next day…

When the first ray of morning light appeared, a system prompt sounded in everyone’s ear.

[Survivors please pay attention! You have passed the sixth night of the Ice Seal Age, the novice protection period will end in 10 minutes, the new version is about to update, please prepare yourself.]

Hearing this system prompt, Cao Xing and Liu Muxue simultaneously opened their eyes.

Liu Muxue rubbed her drowsy eyes and murmured, “Hmm… The protection period is about to end.”

Cao Xing nodded, “Yes, let’s get up first, go outside and see what changes will happen after the update.”

At the same time, he glanced at the countdown above his head.

[Time remaining for novice protection period: 0 hours 9 minutes 32 seconds…]

The last ten minutes.

Cao Xing and Liu Muxue quickly got ready and stepped out of their room.

Not only them.

On the entire continent, the vast majority of survivors from Blue Star came out of their small shelters.

Then, they collectively welcomed the arrival of the new version.

The countdown ticked away slowly.

Everyone watched the countdown above their heads.

[Time remaining for novice protection period: 0 hours 0 minutes 12 seconds…]

Ten seconds later, the system prompt appeared.

[All survivors please note, the novice protection period has officially ended.]

[Global arrival count this time: 7.233 billion, number of deaths: 2.144 billion, remaining survivors: 5.089 billion, overall death rate: 29.64%]

[Congratulations to all surviving survivors, you have adapted to the harsh rules of the new world.]

[Next, do all you can to survive in this cold world and start a brand new life.]

…

The first system prompt completely ignited the world channel.

In just 6 days, more than 2 billion people died.

A death rate as high as 30% made everyone feel the cruelty of this world.

These weren’t just cold numbers, but more than two billion lost lives!

Although the chat channel was bustling now, they were all survivors who had adapted.

More people had died quietly in the cold nights.

Families even froze into ice blocks without anyone knowing.

Liu Muxue furrowed her delicate eyebrows and glanced at Cao Xing.

Cao Xing patted her shoulder without saying more.

Meanwhile, the system prompt continued to appear!
