Chapter 348: Analysis, Disassembly, Recombination, and Fusion

”My left eye can analyze the constituent elements of things? Or rather... it should be the ability to analyze a target itself. And as long as I can understand its composition, I can directly disassemble it.” Kenichi licked his lips.

The thought he had at that moment was simple: if only he could peer into the mysteries of all things.

He had never expected that he would awaken such a bizarre ability.

This Mangekyo Sharingan dōjutsu could only be described as extremely unique.

Was it powerful?

Its upper limit seemed terrifyingly high, but its lower limit was harder to judge. After all, Kenichi had only just awakened it, and he had no reference cases whatsoever. Everything would have to be explored step by step through his own experiments.

”If I could use this ability on the planet beneath my feet, then...” Kenichi’s eyes gleamed with excitement.

This ability was far too useful.

If he could analyze the constituent elements of the ground beneath him, then perhaps he could directly dismantle the planet itself.

At that point, there would be no survivors left in the entire world. Unless someone could survive in a vacuum, everyone would die.

Of course, that was still not the real upper limit Kenichi had in mind.

”If I could directly analyze a black hole or the sun, and then use the ability of my right eye to recombine a sun or a black hole in front of me...” Kenichi shivered.

The idea was fascinating.

And terrifying.

Whether it was a black hole or the sun, those were still existences humanity in his previous life could not truly study in depth. Even in the ninja world, where absurd techniques like Heavenly Obstacle Quaking and moon creation existed, Kenichi felt that even Kaguya probably could not casually dismantle and then reconstruct the sun.

And were black holes and stars really the limit?

If his ability reached far enough, could he analyze the universe itself?

Could he analyze all of three dimensional space?

And then disassemble it and reconstruct it?

But Kenichi also knew that if he ever reached that level, then he would truly stand in the realm of gods.

And not just some ordinary god.

At the very least, he would be a creator god.

”There’s still one crucial problem...” Kenichi pinched the bridge of his nose.

The Mangekyo was powerful, but it came with a fatal flaw.

Every time a Mangekyo dōjutsu was used, the eye’s power would grow stronger. As that power continued to increase, the eye itself would eventually fail to bear the burden and go blind.

That was the true reason the Mangekyo went blind.

The more it was used, the faster blindness came.

As for solving that problem, Kenichi believed there were two methods. The first one, he felt, was already in his possession: transplanting the cells of the First Hokage, Hashirama Senju.

Hashirama, the God of Shinobi, had been monstrously powerful, but his cells were even more absurd.

They possessed endless vitality, almost like cancer cells in a sense, and were highly invasive once injected into another person’s body. They would consume the recipient’s own cells and then expand aggressively.

But unlike true cancer cells, they could not evolve into complete organs. Instead, they formed grotesque masses of flesh that did nothing but devour nutrients. That was why the mortality rate for transplanting Hashirama’s cells was so high.

Kenichi still had no idea how Madara had originally researched them.

In some ways, Hashirama’s cells did resemble cancer cells.

The difference was that cancer cells were self contained disasters within the human body. Once removed from the host, even a random bacterium outside could easily destroy them.

Hashirama’s cells, on the other hand, retained astonishing vitality even in an external environment. Given enough nutrients, they could continue developing into living flesh masses on their own.

It was exactly that terrifying vitality that could, to some extent, alleviate the blindness caused by the Mangekyo’s growing ocular power.

But if he wanted to solve the problem completely, then the Mangekyo had to evolve into the Eternal Mangekyo.

And as far as Kenichi knew, only Madara and the future Sasuke had ever succeeded.

”I already have some ideas about upgrading it into the Eternal Mangekyo, but... does my right eye only possess the ability to recombine?” Kenichi touched his eye.

He had long since made preparations regarding the Mangekyo itself, so he was not especially anxious. That could be handled gradually.

What truly concerned him now was his right eye.

His left eye could analyze essence and then disassemble.

His right eye could recombine, allowing those elements to be rebuilt according to his will.

The total amount of matter would remain the same, of course, but that was not a real problem.

After all, he had just turned a long, slender test tube into a short, thick one.

But he kept feeling that his right eye held more than that.

It seemed as though it possessed another function as well, but he had not yet grasped it clearly.

”Hm?” Kenichi suddenly thought of something.

This time, he brought over a test tube and a rubber dropper. Under the gaze of his left eye, both objects were broken down at the same time. Then, under his direct control, they were recombined into something entirely new.

The slender test tube now had a soft glass tip at one end. Pressing it could suck in a bit of liquid. It felt like rubber, but visually, it was still glass. Since the result was quite small, it had almost no practical use.

But Kenichi’s eyes were now shining with astonishment.

Because he had just confirmed something incredible.

He could fuse two objects of entirely different properties together and create an entirely new thing.

In his previous life, that kind of ability would have made him an absolute monster in materials science.

Imagine taking wood and giving it the strength of steel reinforcement bars while still keeping the appearance of ordinary wood.

That alone was already ridiculous.

Take a fragile figurine, something you once worried would be broken by the child of some relative visiting your home. With this power, he could simply make it as durable as metal.

At that point, those troublesome children would no longer be worth worrying about.

”Still, I’ll need many more tests to fully develop these abilities. I’m especially curious whether they can be used on living beings.” Kenichi stood up.

Now that he had the Mangekyo, his strength had risen another level, but that was only the beginning. What mattered now was testing the limits of his new eyes.

Could his Mangekyo dōjutsu work on living humans?

If it could, then this ability would become a true superweapon.

With that in mind, Kenichi walked out of the laboratory. He casually grabbed a palace servant passing by, told her to stand still, and then quietly stared at her.

The human body was made of many things, and he generally knew the basics.

The reason was simple.

There had once been a childhood anime from his previous life, and a certain infamous ”big brother” scene had become a nightmare for him as a child. For a while, he had even wondered whether the neighbor’s dog had also been made through human alchemy.

After growing up, of course, Kenichi came to understand that the composition of the human body was far more complicated.

A person contained eleven major quantitative elements and more than ten essential trace elements.

[ ]

But did those alone make a human being?

Not even close.

A person, from the moment of birth, no matter how clean they were or how obsessive they might be about hygiene, still carried countless bacteria in and on their body. Even the surface of human skin hosted bacteria and microscopic mites.

So when Kenichi noticed various foreign proteins on the servant in front of him, he was not surprised at all.

Hygiene standards in the ninja world were poor to begin with.

Ninja were slightly better off, but ordinary people often carried parasites. Many of them drank raw water straight from the wild to save time and trouble. It quenched their thirst, yes, but it also brought worm eggs into the body.

If someone used the Byakugan to observe them, they might even be able to see roundworms squirming around inside.

Still, after a while, Kenichi felt a slight discomfort in his eyes.

He stopped the analytical process and instead focused on those foreign proteins in his mind.

He wanted to test whether he could disassemble only a specific part.

There was no response.

”So it won’t work... A whole human is still too difficult.” Kenichi scratched his head.

The foreign proteins showed no change at all, proving that idea was not feasible.

”In that case...”

Kenichi asked the servant to stretch out her hand.

Though she was only a maid, she was still a maid in the ninja world. Years of labor and constant washing meant her hands were not fair and delicate, but somewhat rough. Kenichi did not care in the slightest. He simply stared seriously at her index finger and analyzed its composition.

”...This noble person is so strange,” the maid thought, her heart fluttering slightly.

She knew the person before her was of extremely high status. Queen Koyuki had already made it clear that any request from him must be obeyed, even if it conflicted with one’s own wishes.

And now he kept staring at her. He was even studying her hand.

That made her nervous.

And a little excited.

If she could seize this chance, if she could somehow get close to such a noble person...

Wouldn’t that change the fate of her entire family?

Kenichi had no idea what was going through her head, but he could sense her pulse quickening. It was rising even though she was standing still.

Either she had some physical problem, or she was entertaining very stimulating thoughts.

With one glance, he understood.

But he did not care.

If he really wanted to indulge in lust, he could easily do so in the Land of Snow. He simply had no such interest. The time spent on that sort of thing was far better used on more experiments.

”...Alright, that should be enough.” Kenichi had already analyzed the composition of the finger.

Then, with a thought, the maid’s index finger suddenly burst apart and vanished into the air. Blood sprayed out wildly, and the maid let out a shrill scream.

But just as she screamed, the finger reappeared on her hand.

The bleeding stopped immediately.

If not for the blood still dripping onto the ground, the maid might have believed it had all been a hallucination.

”It really works. But analyzing a person consumes a huge amount of ocular power, while analyzing a region is much easier.” Kenichi rubbed his eyes.

Using the Mangekyo three times in one day was already pushing even him.

”What happened... Master, is something wrong?” Koyuki rushed over in a hurry.

Kenichi noticed the strange limb she had just retracted under her skirt and did not even comment on it.

”It’s nothing. I was just conducting an experiment. Reward this girl afterward. She contributed to my experiment,” Kenichi said with a wave of his hand.

He understood her little thoughts very clearly, but he was not some lunatic who exterminated entire families for no reason. He had tampered with her hand, and although he restored it immediately, it had ended up slightly longer after the reconstruction.

Giving compensation was only fair.

”Okay, I understand.” Koyuki glanced at the trembling maid and smiled.

Kenichi did not bother staying any longer. He simply left. He already had several new ideas he wanted to try.

Koyuki, meanwhile, patiently waited until Kenichi was completely gone. Then she walked toward the maid with a warm smile, a tiny worm egg resting on the tip of her finger.

The maid had heard her call him Master.

That alone meant she could not be left as she was.

Still, since Kenichi had already spoken, Koyuki would not disobey him. So she chose to spare the girl’s life.

The price, however, would be becoming her subordinate.

That could even be considered mercy.

After all, the Master’s children were not people an ordinary servant had the right to approach.

The Master’s order was clear: the children were to take control of all the ninja in the Land of Snow, while also keeping a reserve group for the future.

”From now on, you will be my personal attendant.” Koyuki smiled as she injected the worm egg into the maid’s bloodstream.

Meanwhile, in the Hokage’s office in Konoha...

”Naruto has already learned how to extract chakra?” Hiruzen frowned at the crystal ball in front of him.

He had been puzzled by Tsunade’s words earlier, so he had ordered an investigation immediately.

The result came quickly.

Naruto Uzumaki, the current jinchūriki and the child ostracized by the entire village, had unexpectedly already learned how to extract chakra.

Although the Anbu’s tests showed that Naruto had not yet learned any ninjutsu, the existence of chakra within him was an undeniable fact.

That was no small matter.

Normally, even Konoha’s children, unless they came from the major clans, only started learning basic chakra control after enrolling in the Ninja Academy.

But Naruto?

An orphan.

A child with no parents.

A child shunned by the entire village.

And yet he had somehow learned chakra extraction already.

If that scene had involved someone from the Hyuga clan or one of the Ino Shika Chō families, Hiruzen would not have found it strange in the slightest.

But Naruto?

”Hokage-sama, this was found on the target.” An Anbu respectfully handed him a notebook.

That notebook had not been easy to obtain.

When Naruto left home, the Anbu had secretly searched his place once, but all they found were expired milk, stale bread, and cup ramen.

Expired cup ramen, at that.

This notebook, however, had been found later, after Naruto returned home and fell asleep. It had been tucked close to his body. The Anbu had retrieved it overnight and replaced it with a fake.

Hiruzen flipped it open.

Then, almost instantly, he recognized the handwriting.

It was a chakra extraction guide.

He read through it once in silence, then handed it back to the Anbu for return.

After that, he picked up his pipe, took a silent drag, and exhaled slowly.

He already knew whose notebook it was.

Orochimaru.

He recognized Orochimaru’s handwriting at a glance.

Only Orochimaru wrote in such elegant script.
