Radiant Dragon’s Otherworldly Reincarnation

Chapter 346. I Wonder (1)

May 8, 1532.

Six months had passed since the Allied Forces of the Continent won the war against the Yusef Kingdom, which was being controlled by black mages.

During those six months, the Schneider Duchy made relentless efforts to peacefully annex the Yusef Kingdom.

The administrative staff, including Marquis Krupa, screamed as they were plagued by overtime every day, and even Grand Duke Schneider and his wife, Ava, had to join in the work.

“Your Grace the Grand Duke, here are today’s documents for approval.”

“Leave them.”

“You must have them done within half a day from now.”

“…Leave them.”

At the Grand Duke Schneider’s soul-crushed voice, Marquis Krupa, who was assisting with the work beside him, spoke.

“Your Grace the Grand Duke, why don’t you call the Grand Young Master and share the workload?”

“That is not possible.”

Grand Duke Schneider answered while reading and approving the mountain of documents.

“At this rate, you will collapse from overwork. The Grand Young Master should be more than capable of taking over a portion of Your Grace the Grand Duke’s duties.”

As Patrick was the sole heir of the duchy, there would be no problem even if he used the Grand Duke’s seal for approvals. However….

“That boy has something he must do. As his father, I should be cheering him on, not holding him back. Is that right?”

“……”

“Let us do our best in our respective positions.”

“I understand.”

In fact, Marquis Krupa also knew.

Right now, Patrick was engrossed in the most important task in the Schneider Duchy, no, on the entire continent.

The affairs of the state were busy, but asking for help was something he dared not do.

“Will it really go well?”

“It must.”

“……”

“It absolutely must.”

The war against the Outer God.

This was no longer a secret or anything.

Patrick had announced this fact to the entire continent, telling everyone to prepare for the great war to come.

He had told them in advance to prepare on a global scale, as the survival of the world was at stake.

Normally, saying such things would get one treated as a madman, but….

[My Master’s words are true. I will vouch for them.]

Persona, the Dragon Lord, vouched for Patrick’s words.

On top of that….

[The words of the Grand Young Master Schneider are true. I can guarantee it on the honor of the Holy Theocracy.]

The Pontiff of the Holy Theocracy also vouched for Patrick’s words.

With two of the most credible figures on the continent vouching for him, the other continents also hurriedly devoted their efforts to strengthening their military power.

But the place that was training harder than anywhere else in the world in preparation for the war was….

Kwa-kwa-kwa-kwang! Kwaaaaang!

Grand Duke Schneider turned his gaze out the window.

A terrifying roar that could be mistaken for a natural disaster could be heard.

A faint vibration could be felt even here.

Even….

Rumble… Kwoong!

“A mountain has collapsed.”

“I see.”

It was no longer surprising.

The place where a scene of destruction of a different dimension was unfolding was where Patrick was training the main forces of the duchy in preparation for the war against the Outer God.

Despite asking the Seven Sages to install magic circles to reduce the impact, terrifying destruction was still occurring.

Without a single day’s break.

* * *

“Pant…. Pant…. Pant….”

April was holding a sword in both hands, her hands trembling.

For a master of her level to be gripping her sword so tightly that the veins on her hands were popping meant that she had no strength left.

And in front of her….

“Can you still go on?”

Was Patrick, his clothes slightly torn, but with not a single wound on his body.

“Of course.”

April said, controlling her ragged breath as much as possible so as not to show it.

And in response to her words, a few others around her also stood up.

“Sister-in-law. I can still go on too.”

“I am also able.”

“Grrrk…. I can still do it too.”

“……”

Those who could still fight approached April and raised their weapons.

Tutan, who had awakened as a species called the Grand Orc.

The Guardian of the Tower of Truth, Kenonier Gras.

The Hegemon King’s right arm, the Black Knight Matias Karvan.

And unexpectedly, the Salamander Princess, Katherina bin Yusef, was also standing on her own two feet.

Around them, even 7-star knights, magic swordsmen, and Elven Knights of the Elves were lying on the ground.

But she stood firm.

It was a development she could not have dreamed of just half a year ago.

And the secret to that development was….

Fwoosh!

“I can still maintain my Spirit Transformation.”

It was this.

The technique of turning one’s entire body into flames, Spirit Transformation.

Having awakened the true power of the Spirit Royal Family, she was already in a state of being half-human, half-spirit.

Her power, having abandoned her physical body and transformed her entire being into a body of fire, surpassed the 8-star level.

Patrick had casually awakened her, but she herself was bewildered by how strong she had become.

Patrick stared at the four in front of him and thought.

They’ve gotten much stronger.

April was strong to begin with, and he had heard that Katherina would become that strong upon awakening.

Still, the progress of the Guardian of the Tower of Truth and Tutan.

‘Is this even possible?’

He didn’t know.

But there was really no more time than this.

At that moment….

“Master.”

A voice came from the sky.

Looking up, he saw Persona in her dragon form flying towards him.

Approaching Patrick, she transformed into her human form and landed on the ground, then spoke to Patrick.

“It seems it will open soon.”

“…Yes. Is that so?”

Patrick answered as if what was to come had finally come.

“You should prepare.”

“I see.”

Patrick sheathed his sword and said.

“Training is over. I’ll give you two days, so recover your physical condition to the fullest. And the command staff, I need to see you separately.”

The preparations were over.

Now, the time for the decisive battle had arrived.

* * *

The grand conference room of the Schneider Duchy.

The big shots were gathered in one place.

The Seven Sages of the Tower of Truth.

The king of the Elves, Kirioth.

The representative of the Orcs, Tutan.

And the leaders of each country also attended this meeting, albeit through communication devices.

And Grand Duke Schneider, receiving their gazes, spoke.

“Son.”

“Yes, Father.”

“Come here and do what you must do.”

“…Yes.”

Patrick went to the seat his father had vacated.

The seat of honor, where only the Grand Duke of the Schneider Duchy could sit.

As Patrick headed there, Grand Duke and Duchess Schneider watched him with warm gazes.

‘Father, Mother.’

The gazes of the two overlapped with that of his master from his past life.

When the fact that he was a person from another world who remembered his past life was revealed, what he had worried about the most was a change in the feelings of these two.

They could have felt betrayed and could have cut off their parent-child ties with him.

But the two treated him as they always had.

As if to say, you are still our son.

The two probably didn’t know.

How much strength their trust was giving Patrick.

‘I must protect them. Whatever it takes….’

Having made up his mind, Patrick stood in front and spoke to everyone.

“Good day. I am Patrick Sky Schneider.”

Patrick continued to speak calmly.

“You have probably already noticed, but the revival of the Outer God is imminent.”

As Patrick said, everyone had anticipated it.

There was no reason to gather everyone like this if it weren’t for this matter.

But even though it was an anticipated event, the unprecedented crisis that hung on the survival of the world was not something to be taken lightly.

A heavy pressure that made it hard to breathe crushed everyone.

At that moment, the Grand Duke of the Harbor Duchy spoke.

[Is there no way to do something before the Outer God revives?]

“There is not. That is impossible.”

Patrick firmly denied it.

And he continued.

“To be precise, the Outer God itself has already completed its revival. It is now gathering power in its own domain.”

“Already revived?”

“No, when?”

[Then why didn’t you say anything?]

[Please explain.]

The audience stirred greatly at Patrick’s words.

And Patrick sighed and said.

“I will explain in detail the process of the Outer God’s revival. That being….”

The Outer God had been breaking its seal and preparing for its revival through the black mages for a long time.

And the revival itself was already completed at the end of the war with the Yusef Kingdom.

However….

“Even if it has succeeded in reviving, it cannot come out into the world immediately. It has to awaken its retainers one by one.”

“Do you know anything about the Outer God’s retainers?”

“They are the ones called Demonic Practitioners of the Heavenly Demon Divine Cult in the world I was in.”

“How strong are they?”

At the question of his brother-in-law and the king of the Elves, Kirioth, Patrick thought for a moment.

According to the records of the Heavenly Demon Divine Cult and the information Patrick had gathered in advance….

“Generally, about… than a 7-star knight.”

Patrick held up three fingers and said.

“They are three times stronger.”

Then the 1st Sage’s expression hardened.

“It will be a difficult battle. How many of them are there?”

“There are 108 Demonic Practitioners directly under the Heavenly Demon.”

“A hu… a hundred and eight?”

[Oh, Yupinel….]

[No way.]

The leaders of each country were astonished at the news that there were 108 beings with power far greater than 7-star knights.

But….

“That’s not all. What I mentioned is only the number of direct retainers who crossed over to this world with the Heavenly Demon. Among them, those called elders of the Heavenly Demon Divine Cult are ten times stronger than ordinary Demonic Practitioners.”

“……”

“On top of that, there are also those who challenged the Heavenly Demon, were defeated, and were converted into Heavenly Demon Corpses. I don’t know their numbers or levels…. but they will definitely not be weak.”

“Th… that’s… what….”

“It’s not over yet. On top of that, there are the ordinary cultists who joined him after he came to this world. And if you include the black mages and the retainers they summoned, their total power is….”

Patrick thought for a moment and said.

“It will probably be more than twenty times the total power of the entire continent.”

“……”

“……”

Everyone fell silent.

How was this any different from saying there was no chance of winning?

Patrick said to their pale faces.

“Didn’t I tell you from the beginning that it was a force that could destroy the world? If we fight a normal battle, we can never win.”

At that moment, the emperor of the Venator Empire opened his mouth for the first time.

[Does that mean there is a chance of winning if it’s not by normal means?]

Patrick nodded at the emperor’s voice coming from over the communication device.

‘As expected of an emperor, he’s different.’

That’s right.

The difference in power was overwhelmingly desperate, but there was hope.

Although it was a very small hope….

“I will explain the plan.”

Patrick calmly explained his plan.

The Heavenly Demon is now in the Den of Demons, reviving its retainers and building up its power.

As soon as those preparations are complete, it will come out to swallow the world.

So, the best thing to do is to attack before the Heavenly Demon completes all its preparations.

But the Heavenly Demon’s Den of Demons is cut off from the outside until it opens its own doors.

So, what Patrick is aiming for is right after the Heavenly Demon opens the door.

The moment the door of the Den of Demons opens.

Patrick will lead the elite forces of the entire continent and charge in.

And after breaking through the Heavenly Demon’s retainers and reaching the Heavenly Demon, Patrick will take the Heavenly Demon’s head, and that will be victory.

If they just deal with the Heavenly Demon, its subjugated retainers will also be cast out to the other side of the dimension.

If they do that….

“It’s our victory.”

The leaders, who heard Patrick’s brief plan, were silent.

And Kirioth said.

“So, the moment the enemy is about to attack, we will go in first and attack?”

“The one who strikes first wins.”

“Is there a chance of winning?”

“Well? It’s my first time dealing with a Heavenly Demon, so….”

“……”

“Shouldn’t we at least try?”

“……”

“I said it’s my first time dealing with a Heavenly Demon, you know?”

What a thoughtless person….

The moment the leaders of the entire continent were about to get angry and protest….

“Then what? Does anyone have a better idea?”

“……”

“……”

It was a single phrase that silenced everyone.

Patrick smirked at them and said.

“See? What better idea could there be in this situation?”

Patrick said to the silent ones with a serious face.

“Even if we do nothing, we will be destroyed when the Heavenly Demon’s Den of Demons opens. So….”

“……”

“Let’s struggle as much as we can.”

“……”

“That is the duty of the living.”

Patrick Schneider.

He declared a decisive battle that would determine the fate of the world.
