Radiant Dragon’s Otherworldly Reincarnation

Chapter 314. You Are an Official Disciple of the Twin Dragon Sect (3)

The Azure Dragon left.

Patrick had decided to stay for a while to teach Persona.

After the Azure Dragon left, Persona glanced at Patrick and said.

“May I continue with my training?”

“Go ahead.”

Who would stop her?

Persona, after glancing at Patrick, went to one side and started swinging her sword again.

Patrick simply sat on one side, sipping the liquor he took out from his pocket, and watched the scene.

Swoosh!

The way she gripped the sword.

Her stance.

Even her breathing method…

‘There’s more than one or two things to point out.’

The fundamentals were truly lacking.

However, despite that, the fact that a rather sharp sound of wind came from her swinging sword suggested that her innate physical strength was tremendous.

‘For such a beginner to become useful in a short period of time….’

Patrick pondered how he should teach Persona.

And while he was doing so….

“Hooo….”

Persona sheathed her sword and let out a long breath.

Today’s training is now over.

At that attitude, Patrick frowned and said.

“Finished already?”

“Yes. Any more than this is impossible.”

“Hmmmm….”

She has good muscles and bones, so maybe I should teach her once?

Patrick had been thinking that, but at that moment, his desire to teach completely vanished.

The most necessary thing in training martial arts is neither an excellent physique nor outstanding insight.

It is the perseverance to not give up and to strive.

If this young lady lacked that, he didn’t even feel like teaching her.

But then….

“Sir Patrick Schneider.”

“Hm? What is it?”

“Please help me.”

“Well? From what I see now, you don’t seem that desperate.”

“No. That is not true.”

“……”

“I am extremely desperate.”

At those words, Patrick frowned.

‘It doesn’t really look that way.’

Desperation is not something you say with your mouth but something you show with your actions, was Patrick’s philosophy.

And Persona’s current attitude did not seem desperate at all.

However….

***

“You really were desperate.”

Patrick realized his thoughts were wrong.

The base he entered, guided by Persona after she finished her training.

The moment he stepped into the space prepared inside a small cave, what Patrick saw was hell.

“Waaah! Yula hit me.”

“Lord sister, Caronian ate my food!”

“Lord sister, look at this. I can fly this high!”

There, dozens of hatchlings were entangled in a complete mess.

And in that chaotic pandemonium, Persona was….

“Please. Please, one at a time! Please!”

She was tearing at her own hair in agony.

Yes.

She was in hell.

The hell of childcare.

A few hours later.

After soothing each and every hatchling, coaxing them, stopping their fights, feeding them, and putting them to sleep.

To Persona, who was slumped over dazedly as if her soul had been threshed, Patrick carefully asked.

“Are you… okay?”

“Do I… look… okay?”

“……”

Oh, that’s scary.

It was rare for Patrick to be intimidated by someone’s eyes.

But this time, it was a little scary.

Persona gritted her teeth and said.

“Why do I, who has never even been in a relationship, let alone married, have to take care of dozens of children…. Of course, now that I am the Lord and the oldest, I have to, but still, this is….”

Seeing her tearing her hair out in agony….

Well, honestly, she seemed quite pitiful.

He couldn’t even remember the last time he had felt such pity for someone.

She had to avenge her father, but she also had to raise dozens of children.

At this rate….

“You must not have enough time to train.”

“That’s exactly what I mean.”

“……”

“It is difficult to train for even an hour a day. Sometimes, I can’t train at all.”

“That’s a pity… wait? An hour?”

“Yes. That is correct.”

“You said you’ve been holding a sword for two months, right?”

“Yes. That is correct.”

Two months.

And she couldn’t even train for an hour a day.

And sometimes she couldn’t train at all.

That meant her total training time was less than 60 hours.

And yet, the sword she wielded made a decent sound.

This meant….

‘This young lady was also a genius.’

It wasn’t just that her physique was excellent.

It meant she had outstanding insight that allowed her to achieve high results with little training.

This level of talent might be on par with April’s.

With this kind of physique and this kind of talent….

“It might work out well.”

“What do you mean, sir?”

Instead of answering Persona’s question, Patrick thought deeply.

It was certainly better to do what could be done before the battle with the Heavenly Demon.

And it was a waste to give up on such talent.

Patrick, having made up his mind, said.

“Hey lad… no, Persona.”

“Yes, sir.”

“You really do intend to receive training from me, right?”

“…Of course.”

Persona’s face lit up as she spoke.

She had to do whatever it took to become stronger.

In such a situation, Patrick’s teachings were like a welcome rain in a drought for her.

“You won’t give up halfway, right?”

“Of course.”

“Can you do whatever I tell you to do?”

“Of course.”

Her straightforwardness was good.

Patrick nodded and said.

“From today, call me Master.”

“Yes. Thank you, Master.”

Thus, Patrick accepted Persona as his disciple.

***

Patrick, having accepted Persona as his disciple, first decided to create an environment for training.

“Did you call, Sir Patrick Schneider?”

The direct retainers of the Four Calamities arrived at his call and knelt respectfully.

Edward, Luna, Storm Spear, and even So Dalg-i….

They rushed over at Patrick’s call and knelt politely.

Now that it was certain that Patrick was the man of prophecy, their attitude was even more respectful.

“You have all worked hard. It’s nothing much, but I came to you because I have something I want to entrust to you.”

Edward, the representative of the vampire clan and the direct retainer of the Azure Dragon, placed a hand on his chest and said politely.

“Please give us any command.”

“It might be a rather difficult task.”

“It is alright. If you grant us the honor of following the orders of a great one, we will simply obey.”

“Indeed, you are reliable.”

Patrick nodded as if satisfied.

And Edward clenched his fist inwardly.

‘Success.’

If Patrick was the man of prophecy, he had to make a good impression.

Because when the world moved beyond its end and into the next stage, it was the man of prophecy who would decide who would be chosen and who would be left behind.

“Just give us your command.”

“Excellent. Then….”

A moment later.

“Giddy-up! Giddy-up! Run, griffin! Fly, griffin!”

“Waaah! No. I don’t like this! I want deer meat, not boar meat!”

“Wow! The fox tail is so fluffy and cute!”

The direct retainers of the Four Calamities, thrown into the hell of childcare.

The mischievous hatchlings quickly recognized them as toys, nannies, and pushovers.

As a result, the four powerful figures who ruled the great city of Pavera were spending their days in hardship.

“Griffin, fly! Don’t rest!”

“Fox sister. Tail! I want to touch your tail!”

“Deeeer! Deer meat!”

In that hell, the gazes of the three turned to one place.

“Edward!”

“You son of a bitch!”

“Because of you… because of you, I!”

“……”

Edward had no words to retort to his colleagues.

Did he know it would turn out like this?

***

In a wide open space outside the cave.

There, Patrick spoke to his new disciple, Persona, with a solemn expression.

“My disciple. Remember this.”

“What is it, sir?”

“Always make others do the things you don’t want to do.”

“Ah….”

“Then, a significant portion of the problems will be solved.”

“Yes. I will keep it in mind, Master.”

Persona seemed genuinely impressed by her master’s teaching.

It seemed she was greatly moved by the heavenly grace of her master who had freed her from the hell of childcare.

[You bastard, Cheon! You bastard! You baaaaastard!]

It seemed someone was vehemently opposing, but Patrick just cleaned his ear and let it go.

Anyway, Patrick was quite excited.

Since coming to this world, he had taught many people.

Thanks to his gentle and considerate teachings, the clumsy soldiers had become reliable knights, the timid Matthew had become strong, and the seniors, juniors, and professors at the academy had all become stronger.

“Ah, I’m too kind.”

…….

Anyway, despite being that Patrick, this was the first time he had officially taken a disciple.

And the words “Patrick’s disciple” meant….

“From now on, you are an official disciple of the Twin Dragon Sect. Do you understand?”

“Yes, Master.”

Patrick’s body trembled.

He didn’t know it before he did it, but after saying it himself, he was overcome with emotion.

‘I finally have a disciple too.’

Even in the Twin Dragon Sect, Patrick hadn’t raised a disciple.

No, he couldn’t.

As the Twin Dragon Sect grew in scale, he gained junior brothers and quite a few junior martial nephews, but the Radiant Dragon Great Master Jin Cheon had no disciples.

‘Huh? Come to think of it, why didn’t I have one? I’m sure I didn’t intend not to take a disciple.’

Then, a memory from the distant past came to Patrick’s mind.

It was around the time the Twin Dragon Sect had grown quite large, and his junior brothers had started taking disciples.

[Master, I am thinking of taking a disciple now.]

[A disciple?]

[Yes. As long as their fundamentals and insight are decent, and their perseverance is good, it will be fine.]

[Hahaha…. Yes. I see.]

[As long as they have perseverance, I will use any means necessary to make them a person… no, a master.]

[Hahahahahaha….]

[Who would be good?]

[Hahahahahahahaha….]

It had fizzled out like that.

Uh, so this was….

Master? Did you perhaps not trust me?

[Hahaha….]

That old man….

Patrick felt a surge of anger for a moment.

Being reborn and seeing things from a different perspective made him realize many things.

“Ugh, I was busy back then, and there was no one who caught my eye.”

But it was fine now.

Although it was across worlds, he had gotten his hands on a worthy disciple.

“Persona. I will give you your first command as your master.”

“Yes. Please speak.”

“You, drop the sword.”

“Yes. I under…. What did you say?”

“I said drop it.”

“……”

“The sword.”

Persona’s face turned red.

It was a face that looked like she would have rushed at him if he wasn’t the man of prophecy or her master.

Though it wouldn’t have made the great demon before her flinch at all.

“May I ask for the reason?”

The voice she barely managed to squeeze out was as cold as if frost had settled on it.

To her, Patrick said.

“Everyone has an aptitude for something.”

“I am a dragon, though?”

“Dragons have aptitudes too.”

“……”

You’ve never even seen another dragon besides me….

Persona’s pouting face showed no sign of understanding.

To that Persona, Patrick said.

“Well, if I teach you the swordsmanship of the Twin Dragon Sect in a normal way and make you train, you will become strong someday.”

“……”

“In about 10 years, that is.”

At that, Persona’s expression flinched.

In fact, considering her innate talent, the energy already accumulated in her body, and her racial characteristics, it wouldn’t take 10 years.

With just one year of teaching, she would become stronger than an average 7-star swordsman.

But Patrick deliberately exaggerated and said 10 years.

“If your situation is such that you can afford to take a long time, then I will teach you the swordsmanship of the Twin Dragon Sect in a normal way. But that’s not the case.”

“That is….”

“You now have to lead your clan as the Lord, avenge your father, and also join me in the battle against the Outer God.”

“……”

“Can you afford to leisurely devote yourself to the sword for 10 years? When a war could break out within this year?”

“……”

Persona had no words to retort.

‘Master’s words are all correct.’

Even she thought that she needed to get her hands on power as quickly as possible.

For a dragon, 10 years is by no means a long time, but when the situation is as urgent as it is now, the story changes.

“If I abandon the sword and follow Master’s instructions, can I become strong quickly?”

“The Way of Martial Arts is something that takes time.”

“……”

“But if you only want to gain a level of combat power that is useful in war, there is a way.”

“……”

“I am not telling you to give up on your growth as a martial artist. I am just saying that for now, you should prioritize what is immediately necessary.”

“In that case, I will follow Master’s words.”

In the end, Persona was persuaded.

Because every word Patrick said was right.

At her answer, Patrick thought with a smirk.

‘Good. She’s hooked.’

This great demon doesn’t deceive people with wrong words.

He speaks the truth while guiding the situation to his will.

Patrick, having persuaded Persona, took something out of his artifact backpack and gave it to Persona.

“What… is this?”

It was a long, heavy, single-edged weapon that resembled a crescent moon.

It was the first time she had seen it, but Patrick nodded and said.

“It is a weapon called a saber.”

“It is quite different from a sword.”

“Very different.”

Although they are both bladed weapons, the sword and the saber are completely different weapons.

Actually, this was an item he had made to give to Tutan as a gift when he grew a bit more.

But it seems it was destined to meet a better owner here.

Patrick held it out and said.

“Take the saber.”

“……”

“I will teach you the Five Tiger Severing Gate Blade.”
