My Apocalypse System Arrives 10 Years Early

Chapter 588: Chapter 363: The Grand Mid-Autumn Spectacle of City No. 03, a Truly Enviable Sight

Engineer Hanna: ”They’ve already started building a Starship. Jiang Cai’Er’s team announced their research progress last year...”

”My God, are they planning for interstellar migration? Are they just going to leave us behind on Earth?”

Tehran, Shelter communications station: ”Word from the brothers in Kandahar. The Earth Vein Passage Envoy from Country C’s City No. 03 brought cold-resistant wheat seeds, but they require a thousand Exotic Beast Crystal Cores in exchange... Wait, who’s eating mooncakes?!”

The sound of gunfire and curses in Persian could be heard in the background.

Brazil, Rio de Janeiro Underground City: ”A carnival? The Exotic Beasts have chewed through our samba drumheads! The only reason we can even get online occasionally is thanks to aid from City No. 03.”

In the Rome Underground City’s black market, counterfeit ”City No. 03-style floating lanterns” have appeared, which are actually the wreckage of drones tied with the glowing spinal columns of Exotic Beasts. In a London tube Shelter, an Oxford professor secretly lectures on *The Principles of Dark Matter Propulsion as Seen in ’Chang’e Flying to the Moon’*. A homeless man in the audience suddenly raises his hand and asks, ”So, can Li Xiang lead us back to the surface?”

The professor fell silent for a moment. ”I... suppose he can. We must have hope!”

On the South Asian Subcontinent, many Underground Cities were still mired in conflict. Ever since Amir’s rebellion, it was as if a window had been opened, and rebels from the Lower Castes emerged one after another. In times of peace, they had their ”Moon Festival” and ”Diwali,” but that was impossible now.

...

Kanna arrived at an Underground City in Thailand with a large quantity of supplies and was greeted with a warm reception. As she entered the city, the people lined the streets to welcome her. A dozen or so members of the management were already waiting at a red carpet, and upon seeing Kanna and her group arrive, they all knelt in unison.

Once the management knelt, the people all followed suit.

Kanna was speechless.

Not long ago, she was just a Dalit, one of the untouchables, who had to kneel before everyone. She never imagined that now, working for her idol, even these once-mighty Thai dignitaries would be kneeling to her.

That night, as the leader and a ”Special Envoy,” Kanna was treated as a guest of honor. She was given lodging in the Underground City’s most luxurious palace, and six Maids came to help her bathe and attend to her daily needs.

Having come from a life of hardship, Kanna naturally didn’t need anyone to wait on her.

She knew that if she sent the six Maids away, they would surely be punished. So, she simply had them wait outside and do as they pleased.

Kanna didn’t sleep. After her bath, she replaced sleep with Cultivation, seizing every moment to improve herself.

After becoming the leader of the Earth Vein Passage Envoys, she received guidance from Li Xiang. He had bestowed upon her many Advanced Breathing Techniques and Body Techniques, as well as some precious Spiritual Medicine. She no longer needed to participate in the advancement assessments for Extraordinary Beings or apply for Advanced Breathing Techniques. ’I guess you could call this being part of a privileged class,’ she thought.

The image of Li Xiang’s handsome and heroic figure often appeared in her mind, but she knew she could only think about it. Being able to work for Li Xiang was already the greatest luck and blessing of her life.

After the Mid-Autumn Festival, Li Xiang set out once again to provide aid across the globe.

In the past, he had scoured the globe for resources; now, he was providing global support. It could be considered repaying a debt.

The slots for his ”Beast Taming: Azure Qilin Guide” were already full, all occupied by Saint Tier Spirit Beasts. Spirit Beasts from within his own country accounted for eighty percent of them, and nearly every Underground City had a Spirit Beast faction stationed there to help defend it.

Coupled with the various high-tech weapons available domestically—high-yield missiles and rocket launchers—they could still hold their ground against the invasions of the Exotic Beast Army. But the situation abroad was disastrous.

This was especially true for the South Asian Subcontinent.

When Li Xiang arrived, his Nine Nether Falsehood-Breaking Gaze saw countless wanderers.

As the former ”Lord Divine Envoy,” Li Xiang built several hundred Shelters for the many wanderers, scattering them all across the South Asian Subcontinent.

For him, building these Shelters was a trivial effort, but for these wanderers who lived day to day, it was nothing short of a divine blessing.

Of course, they were rather crude—no electricity, no internet—but they were solid, hidden fortresses that offered a place to hide. Underground rivers, not yet frozen, were available for water.

Li Xiang also provided supplies—food, clothing, medicine, coal...—distributing them to every family or individual.

He brought Yao Yao along to handle this task. Firstly, Yao Yao was also Saint Tier with considerable combat power. Secondly, she had hundreds of Clones, making it convenient to manage these matters.

Otherwise, if Li Xiang had to settle so many groups of wanderers by himself, it would have taken him forever.

Yao Yao was a huge help.

She also brought many handheld ”Heart Image Judgment Instruments” used to distinguish good people from bad.

This was because not all the wanderers were good people; the group was a mixed bag, including some truly evil individuals. If they weren’t identified and expelled, the distributed supplies would end up being stolen by them, and might even lead to others being killed.

Not punishing the wicked and helping everyone indiscriminately would be unfair to the weak and the good.

Some of the wicked men were so audacious that, with their true natures exposed by the ”Heart Image Judgment Instrument,” they actually tried to rape Yao Yao. But how could someone like Yao Yao be defiled by them?

As the Saintess Yao Yao, every one of her Clones was fully armed, clad in Obsidian Battle Armor and carrying a Spiritual Soldier. When those men had wicked thoughts and tried to act on them, Yao Yao would release her powerful Saint Tier pressure, causing all the villains to collapse, paralyzed, on the ground.

Some were killed on the spot, and the other wanderers cheered at the sight, having clearly been bullied by them for a long time. As for the Extraordinary Beings among the wanderers who had corrupt Heart Techniques, they were thrown directly into Exotic Beast lairs to fight to the death.

However, most of them were useless. They were vicious and cruel when dealing with their own kind, but once inside an Exotic Beast lair, they were devoured without leaving a single scrap behind, unable to kill even one Exotic Beast.
