My Apocalypse System Arrives 10 Years Early

Chapter 573: Chapter 355: The Second Beast Tide

The Bihar Underground City had fallen under new rule.

Amir, a Tier Eight Extraordinary Being from the Dalit—the untouchables, the ”Fifth Caste”—ascended to the position of City Lord. With three hundred Extraordinary Warriors under his command and an army of three hundred thousand strong, he began to slaughter the Upper Castes.

Arson, murder, plunder, rape.

This was especially true for the top two Castes. The slaughter was so great that heads rolled in the streets. All the men were beheaded or driven out to be fed to the Exotic Beasts, while all the women were enslaved.

Amir had been a bachelor, but after usurping the throne, he now possessed a harem of three thousand beauties, two-thirds of whom were noblewomen from the former Upper Castes. Whenever Amir returned home, these once-lofty women had to fall to their knees and crawl forward to serve him.

Dog chains were fastened around their necks, and they stood before him barely clothed, as debased as dogs.

Amir reclined on a gilded throne inlaid with malachite. This Dalit Extraordinary, who had once huddled in the back alleys of the slums, now pressed his bare foot onto the meticulously kept long hair of a Brahma noblewoman, grinding a blood-soaked combat boot across her pale cheek.

He caressed the delicate bodies of several other Brahma noblewomen clad only in sheer veils, then squeezed hard enough to make them scream. Afterward, he snapped a photo and posted it online.

The world was in an uproar.

North American user @Eagle of Freedom: ”This is medieval barbarism! The International Extraordinary Alliance must intervene immediately!”

Middle Eastern user @Eye of Sand: ”When the camel rolls over to crush its rider, the scorpions beneath the dunes have long since been ground to dust.”

German user @Berlin Wall Fragment: ”When the avenger sits on the tyrant’s throne, the ghost of the Third Empire is resurrected on the Ganges.”

South African user @Gold Miner: ”They buried the engineers alive when they took back the mines, and now the mining district is overrun by Exotic Beasts. History always repeats its foolishness.”

Kenyan user @Spear of the Prairie: ”The Extraordinary Beings in the Nairobi slums are burning the chieftain’s staff. Watch your zebra-skin thrones!”

Japanese user @Warring States Cat: ”This is the ultimate ’gekokujō’! But for the servant class to be keeping their former masters is just on another level.”

Chinese user @Shushan Sword Cultivator 036: ”Article Three of the Dawn Outline clearly forbids Extraordinary Beings from torturing and killing civilians. I suggest initiating the global arbitration process. Li Sheng, it’s time for you to make a move!”

From Mumbai City 13, a bastion of India’s Upper Castes: ”The Demon Amir must be purified by Brahma! We have sealed off all Dalit residential areas. All Lower Caste untouchables should be expelled!”

From a Lower Caste forum in Kolkata: ”The day has finally come! We are storming the Kshatriya armories!”

The riots in the Bihar Underground City, which led to the slaughter of so many innocents, sent shockwaves across the globe. These deaths weren’t caused by Exotic Beasts, but by humans killing each other.

Public opinion in India was fiercely divided. The Upper and Lower Castes cursed each other online, and the conflict soon spilled offline into physical attacks. Nearly every Underground City descended into chaos.

The Upper Caste leaders of many Indian Underground Cities grew alarmed and began to expel all Lower Caste Extraordinary Beings, driving them out along with their ordinary kinsmen.

Some, like Amir, succeeded in their rebellion and seized power. Others failed, suffering heavy casualties before being driven out. And some didn’t even resist, passively accepting their expulsion to the dark, cold, and perilous surface, where they had to struggle just to survive.

One user asked: ”Does anyone know what happened to those who were expelled?”

”Who knows? They have a slim chance of survival, at best. There’s no internet or electricity up there. Even if they have phones, they can’t get online to complain about their suffering.”

In a conference room in China’s Underground Dungeon 03, Li Xiang, Jiang Cai’Er, Yao Yao, Zhao Xueqing, and Lei Xiaohui were gathered together, all of them at a loss for words.

The strategic outline had clearly stated that humans must not slaughter their own kind. Although the Caste oppression was a real grievance, in this time of crisis, they were supposed to put aside their prejudices and face the hardships together.

But, of course, those people refused to cooperate.

There was no other choice. Li Xiang’s word was law. He issued a notice, cutting off their path to advancing their Cultivation Techniques. From that day forward, the Extraordinary Being Administration would no longer accept or approve any applications for rank advancement from the Extraordinary Beings of the Bihar Underground City.

Amir flew into a rage. He cursed Li Xiang online and then furiously announced his withdrawal from the Anti-Exotic Beast Alliance!

In Los Santos, Su Xuanji and the other Holy Sons and Holy Daughters were quite excited. They felt an opportunity had arrived and wanted to go to the Bihar Underground City in India to ”preach.” ’If Li Xiang won’t provide them with subsequent Cultivation Techniques, isn’t this fertile ground for us?’

However, before they could act, another piece of news broke that once again sent the world into an uproar.

Amir had organized a massive offensive, attacking a nearby Exotic Beast nest. As a result, his army of three hundred thousand suffered countless casualties, the Underground City’s defenses were breached, and swarms of Exotic Beasts poured in, forcing the survivors to flee in all directions.

A few days later, a large amount of footage was leaked, showing that the Underground City had become a paradise for Exotic Beasts.

The leaked footage came from several surviving, undamaged surveillance cameras within the city.

Of course, it had been secretly recorded by Jiang Cai’Er, who then released it under an alternate ID. This was not something outsiders needed to know.

’In a chaotic place like that, what war correspondent could possibly still be around?’

Before long, the city’s network and cameras were all destroyed. Even Jiang Cai’Er could no longer get any information from that Underground City.

This, in turn, enraged a large number of Saint Tier Exotic Beasts. ”You tiny ants! We don’t even bother to attack you, yet you dare to attack us?” The Exotic Beasts began a large-scale assault on human Underground Cities.
