My Apocalypse System Arrives 10 Years Early

Chapter 561: Chapter 350: Dawn Era Survival Strategy Outline

His Achievement Points had now surpassed fifty million.

The Spiritual Medicine he received as rewards was the same Tier as the Exotic Beasts he defeated. However, Extraordinary Items still only ”dropped” from beasts at Tier Ten or higher, and the Tier of these ”dropped” items would be two Tiers lower than the beast itself.

After this period of intense fighting, Li Xiang’s cultivation Realm had advanced naturally. He rose another Tier and was now at Tier Twenty-Three.

He spent over forty million Achievement Points to raise all his Superpowers to the absolute limit his body could withstand. For example, he upgraded his Extreme Speed to Mach 80 and his Giant Power to 1.5 million jin.

This 1.5 million jin was the combined strength from his ”Giant Power” Inscription and his physical body. When he normally manipulated his Earth Superpower, he used the Divine Techniques activated by the ”Earth Pivot World Record” Inscription. The two effects stacked, producing an even more astonishing result.

Jiang Cai’Er chose one piece of Spirit Armor and two Spiritual Soldiers, all of which were Tier Twenty-Six—the highest Tier among Li Xiang’s recent spoils. ’Of course, I have to give my wife the very best.’

The Spirit Armor was named the ”Eclipse Moon Star Armor” and had three Extraordinary Attributes: ”Star Remnant Shield,” ”Earth Vein Resonance,” and ”Phase Jump.”

”Star Remnant Shield” automatically absorbed the energy of incoming attacks and converted it into shield strength. It could withstand three full-power attacks from anything below Tier Twenty-Five, and its damage absorption efficiency against fire and ice elements was increased by 300%.

”Earth Vein Resonance” automatically connected the wearer to the Earth Veins when they stood on the ground, restoring 1% of their Spiritual Power per second. It also allowed them to perceive the status of all allies within a ten-kilometer radius, including their health, position, and any abnormal conditions. She loved this Attribute, as it was a perfect fit for her. Not only did it solve the problem of Spiritual Power depletion during prolonged battles, but it also enhanced her overall battlefield awareness.

”Phase Jump” was a life-saving measure. When faced with a fatal attack, it would trigger a 0.5-second spatial fold (usable roughly twice a day), instantly teleporting the user to any allied unit within a hundred meters. This would prevent assassination by a High-Tier Exotic Beast’s surprise attack and ensure the survival of a key commander.

Of course, it was only because Li Xiang had so many Saint Tier Items and had been incredibly lucky that she was able to pick out something so perfectly suited for her.

If Li Xiang had only possessed five or six such items, her options would have been far more limited.

One of the two Saint Tier Spiritual Soldiers was the Blazing Heaven-Burning Bow, a ranged weapon with three Extraordinary Attributes: ”Heaven-Burning Arrowhead,” ”Nirvana Fire Seed,” and ”Hundred Birds Pay Homage to the Phoenix.”

The other was the ”Abyssal Soul Suppressing Bell,” a support-type, crowd-control Spiritual Soldier that also possessed three Extraordinary Attributes: ”Bone-Eroding Poisonous Miasma,” ”Soul-Calming Mantra,” and ”Abyssal Evil Rebirth.”

...

Since Li Xiang had shared ”Li’s Breathing Method and Body Techniques” several years in advance, many people had been practicing it relentlessly for years, developing muscle memory. Now, with the emergence of Extraordinary Particles, a good number of them broke through to become Tier One Extraordinaries.

This first wave consisted of exceptionally talented individuals, numbering around one million. Many had actually achieved their breakthrough on the very first day but chose not to report it, concealing the true timing.

These people were smart; they understood the principle that the tallest tree in the forest is the first to be toppled by the wind.

About twenty days into the Apocalypse, Li Xiang tallied the number of new Extraordinary Beings worldwide. He discovered that over ten million people had reached Tier One, and more than ten of them had already advanced to Tier Two.

Thirty-eight of them had made their breakthrough within the first week.

However, Li Xiang suspected these numbers weren’t entirely accurate. ’The real figures are probably higher, not lower,’ he thought. ’Some of the true geniuses must be hiding their progress.’

This number far surpassed the figures from his previous life. It was a cause for celebration.

At this same point in his previous life, there hadn’t been a single Extraordinary Being. Breathing Techniques only began to emerge three months in, and many who discovered them selfishly hoarded the knowledge. As a result, even after a full year, there were fewer than ten thousand Extraordinary Beings in total.

When Li Xiang had died in his past life, during the fourth year of the Apocalypse, there were only twenty to thirty thousand Extraordinary Beings worldwide. The number of those at the Saint Tier could be counted on one hand.

But Li Xiang believed that in this life, by the fourth year, there would be at least a hundred people at the Saint Tier. Below that, there would likely be sixty to seventy million more. In terms of sheer numbers, they would absolutely surpass the population of Exotic Beasts on Earth.

In another eight or ten years, the roles of offense and defense might just be reversed. ’The only question is whether we can survive for that long.’

In his previous life, the death toll had been so high for many reasons. Besides being caught completely off guard and facing the Exotic Beasts head-on—which resulted in nearly four billion deaths in the first seven days alone—there were several other factors contributing to the later casualties.

For example, nuclear weapons were used. Once that Pandora’s box was opened, nations gave in to desperation, prioritizing revenge above all else. Japan, for instance, had endured several rounds of nuclear strikes. In this life, however, Li Xiang had prevented that. Although Japan’s ”beast situation” was severe and it had lost almost half its landmass, the majority of the nation still survived.

In his past life, people had lacked food and clothing. Many were homeless, forced to wander the dark, frozen surface. They froze to death in the extreme cold, starved, or were murdered by others. Fellow humans stole their food, and some even became food themselves—the grim practice of trading children to eat became a reality. Exotic Beasts picked them off like snacks, and survivors suffered from nuclear contamination and radiation. All these factors combined to cause a drastic population decline.

The collapse of social order, the lack of Underground Cities, and the scarcity of heating fuel were all primary causes of death in the later stages.

But in this life, Earth had countless Underground Cities and subterranean farms. The Global Anti-Exotic Beast Alliance had been established, and social order hadn’t collapsed. Nations had stockpiled supplies and energy for years in advance. They had super-rice that yielded over 4,000 kilograms per mu, allowing most countries to keep their populations fed and warm for the time being. Furthermore, with Li Xiang having distributed ”Li’s Breathing Method and Body Techniques” globally, people could take advantage of the emergent Extraordinary Particles to lie low and cultivate their strength, dramatically increasing the survival rate.

The war against the Exotic Beasts couldn’t be rushed. Only by growing stronger could humanity drive them out and finally reverse the roles of attacker and defender.

As long as Earth’s people remained united and didn’t descend into internal chaos, a counterattack would be possible in the near future.

In fact, in his previous life, humanity on Earth hadn’t made it through. The entire Solar System had become a homeland for the Exotic Beasts. But in this life, they had a chance to endure—and even a chance to launch a counteroffensive.

Li Xiang and Jiang Cai’Er jointly drafted an ”Anti-Exotic Beast Counter-strategy,” officially titled the ”Dawn Era Survival Strategy Outline.” They broadcast it through the Underground City network to all nations of the world—particularly the member states of the Anti-Exotic Beast Alliance—initiating a major strategic realignment.

The global network connecting the Underground Cities was still intact. A few fiber-optic cables had been severed in places, but Li Xiang repaired them in short order. With his Mach 80 Extreme Speed and mastery of Earth Escape, the entire planet was like his personal backyard.

The only problem was that the surface was infested with far too many Exotic Beast nests, and it was impossible to exterminate them all quickly. There were simply too many; how could Li Xiang possibly kill them all by himself?

He was also worried that if he wiped out all the Exotic Beasts on the surface—or even just a majority of them—the powerful beings deep underground would likely pause their infighting and emerge to deal with him.

Besides, leaving these powerful Exotic Beasts alive served as both a pressure and a motivation. In order to survive, the people of Earth would seize every available moment to focus on their Cultivation.

Shen Wenqian, for her part, used the network to begin an eligibility review process for advanced Breathing Techniques. A number of exceptionally talented individuals had already mastered the introductory version and were now in need of more profound, advanced Cultivation Techniques to continue their progress.
