Beating Instances through Words Left by the Dead

Chapter 349: Chapter 201: Divination Revelation_3

Wu Chang asked, ”Can I take a look at it?”

The vendor pushed the cards over, saying, ”Of course.”

”Item Name: Ancient Tarot Cards”

”Item Type: Dungeon Items”

”Artifact Level: C”

”Item Skills: Divination”

”Skill Description: Perform divination on the target. The accuracy of the divination depends on the user’s Inspiration Attribute. For the first three divinations each day, the precision is doubled.”

Wu Chang placed the tarot cards back on the table and said to He Yun, ”It looks quite interesting. How about giving it a try?”

He Yun said indifferently, ”I don’t think a person’s fate can be predicted by divination, but since you want to, I can give it a try.”

The vendor was unhappy with He Yun’s words and said, ”People should have awe for destiny. For most of us, from birth, the trials and hardships we face in life are already decided. Divination is the guidance bestowed upon us by God out of mercy, telling us how to seek fortune and avoid misfortune, to escape predicaments.”

Just as the vendor was about to perform the divination, Wu Chang suddenly said, ”Wait, can I do the divination?”

”You?” The vendor was somewhat unhappy and said, ”Divination is not child’s play. Approaching it with a casual attitude might anger the God.”

Wu Chang gave He Yun a look and then pointed at the vendor’s payment code.

He Yun sighed and took out her phone to transfer the fee to the vendor.

Upon hearing the payment notification, the vendor immediately stood up and said, ”It’s good that young people want to engage in divination. Learning anything involves a phase of contact and exploration. Trying twice simply won’t incur God’s wrath.”

Wu Chang took the seat of the divination master and asked He Yun in earnest, ”What would you like to divine?”

He Yun said, ”Divine the current situation then.”

After shuffling the deck, Wu Chang opened the cards in a fan shape, allowing He Yun to freely select three cards from them.

Flipping the selected three cards, the cards showed Ten of Scepters, The Devil upright, and Nine of Treasure Swords reversed.

Wu Chang looked at the vendor, motioning for her to interpret the cards.

The vendor said, ”Ten of Scepters represents that you are under severe pressure and responsibility, and your current mental state is overwhelmed. The Devil represents bondage and desire, meaning all your troubles come from bondage and desire. Nine of Treasure Swords reversed represents your fear, anxiety, and unease, emotions that are gradually spiraling out of control, in urgent need of stability.”

Wu Chang looked at He Yun and asked, ”Is my divination quite accurate?”

He Yun said emotionlessly, ”Divination is just divination, it’s meaningless. We should be leaving.”

”Oh, wait, after divining the current situation, how can we not divine solutions?”

After saying that, Wu Chang held onto He Yun who was trying to leave, making her draw three more cards from the remaining deck.

The cards showed Judgment upright, Four of Scepters reversed, and Six of Cups reversed.

The vendor interpreted the cards: ”Judgment upright represents awakening, rebirth, and a new beginning. It tells you to let go of past burdens, bravely face difficulties, and believe you can create a new beginning. Four of Scepters reversed represents instability in your living environment and interpersonal relationships, leading to a lack of security. The key to solving problems lies in finding new reliable companions. Six of Cups reversed relates to the past, nostalgia, reminding you to move on from the past and seek a new life.”

After refusing the vendor’s idea of accepting apprentices, Wu Chang and He Yun left the stall and headed towards the Bliss Sect.

It could be seen that with 136 points of Inspiration augmenting the divination, the results were quite accurate, as He Yun’s expression became sullen and struggle could occasionally be seen in her eyes following the revelation of the divination results.

Lies won’t harm, but truth is a sharp blade.

Wu Chang said, ”Do you have anything you want to say? Some matters kept inside might become a knot in your heart, saying it out loud might actually help.”

He Yun lowered her head and quickened her pace, ”Sorry, give me a bit more time, I haven’t thought of how to tell you all of this yet.”

With He Yun’s increased speed, the two quickly arrived at the Paradise Cathedral in the center of Star Lane.

Paradise Cathedral, although called a cathedral, actually lacks religious elements, if not for the name on the sign at the entrance, some might believe it’s a large entertainment venue.

At the entrance of the cathedral, stood two girls wearing bunny girl uniforms, like the ring grid girls during intermission at fighting matches, carrying the Bliss Sect sign as they walked back and forth in the square in front of the cathedral.

Anyone who saw this scene would compliment, ”That’s a big sign.”

Simply with this popular evangelism style, the Bliss Sect deservedly has a public base and is quite adored.

Seeing Wu Chang and He Yun approaching, the two girls hurriedly came over to enthusiastically ask:

”Are you here to join the Bliss Sect?”

”You two are really lucky. Today, Priest Number Six and Nun Number Nine are in the church. Their understanding of the scriptures is deep, if you take two classes with them, you will surely enter the Bliss Sect.”

After hearing this, Wu Chang’s expression became peculiar. Are your church’s priest and nun genuine?

He Yun, being of the same sex and possessing a larger and more righteous weapon than the girls, wasn’t seduced by the doctrine presented by the bunny girls. She directly said:

”We’re here to find someone.”

One of the bunny girls asked, ”Who are you looking for?”

He Yun said, ”Kong Lin, Archbishop Kong.”

The bunny girl said with difficulty, ”The Archbishop doesn’t easily meet with people, do you have an appointment?”

He Yun: ”Just tell him the person who kicked him into the hospital wants to see him, he will meet me.”

Using highly recognizable notifying words, the two quickly received an audience with the Archbishop, the location being a banquet hall deep within the cathedral.
