Beating Instances through Words Left by the Dead

Chapter 339: Chapter 198: Retrospection!_3

The helmed man slowly stepped into the power plant, directly targeting He Yun.

”Are you He Yun?”

He Yun saw the opponent’s strength and assumed a fighting stance. The bracelets on her arms transformed into two metal gloves, and the necklace around her neck expanded outwards like an origami folded thousands of times, turning into a form-fitting mecha suit.

”Yes, I am.”

Wu Chang was stunned by He Yun’s transformation. The technology of the Underground Shelter seemed even more advanced than he imagined, with the mecha suit assuming a transforming stance.

Does the custom mecha He Yun agreed to make for him also have this feature?

The helmed man was also surprised by He Yun’s transformation. He had judged the timing, initially thinking he would catch He Yun off guard since she wouldn’t have a mecha with her, allowing him to win easily. Unexpectedly, she had such an ace up her sleeve. ℯℯ𝑙.

Since he couldn’t achieve his goal effortlessly, he would have to put in some effort.

The helmed man shook his fist and said, ”For the sake of our grand cause, could you go ahead and die?”

As he spoke, he threw a punch.

As the champion of the Broken Bottle Mecha Arena, He Yun was well-versed in boxing techniques. She intended to block the helmed man’s straight punch with her forearm, while preparing to retaliate.

Her idea was good, but her stats didn’t allow it.

As soon as He Yun blocked the helmed man’s punch, a tremendous force exploded from his fist, directly breaking her guard and landing a punch on her shoulder, sending her flying.

”This punch is called ’Strength in Virtue.’” The helmed man announced the name of his move, seemingly not using his full strength.

On the other side, He Yun got up from the ground, checked her injuries, and found that the left forearm and shoulder of her mecha were severely damaged. The functionality of her left arm was seriously impaired, able to exert only 30% power.

It could be said that one punch had crippled her arm.

Wu Chang certainly couldn’t stand by and watch. At the start of the battle, he had already used Social Phobia and Elite Stealth, causing the helmed man to ignore his presence.

At this moment, he had already stealthily moved to five meters behind the helmed man. Seizing the opportunity, he used Lightning Shadow Body Technique, leaping to the helmed man’s back and punching him in the rear heart with all his might.

With a power of 148 points, augmented by the charge-up from Iaidō, along with the element of surprise.

The combination of three factors meant this punch caused the helmed man to stagger.

If not for the long charge-up time of Iaidō, the helmed man might not have budged from his spot and might even have said, ”Master, did you skip lunch? There’s no power in your back massage!”

Both Wu Chang and the helmed man were stunned by the punch.

Wu Chang looked at his fist, his face full of disbelief. He could confirm that the punch definitely landed solidly on the opponent. He felt no defense skills or any defense-type item’s resistance.

If Leman had taken this punch, he would have groaned symbolically. Why was the helmed man unfazed?

Could it be that this guy feared pain so much that he allocated all his Attribute Points to defense?

The helmed man was bewildered. His bewilderment lay in the fact that someone managed to stealthily get behind him without his awareness, and that a player from the Desolate Realm could actually harm him!

The helmed man became fond of Wu Chang’s talent, saying, ”Kid, tell me who you are, and I won’t kill you.”

Wu Chang had always been quick to adapt, immediately lowering his fists in a gesture of surrender, saying, ”I am Peace, but people in the Desolate Realm prefer to call me, the Mysterious Rookie.”

The helmed man pondered for a moment and exclaimed in surprise, ”The Mysterious Rookie who broke the B-Level uncontrolled Trial Dungeon!”

Wu Chang nodded, ”It’s me.”

The helmed man’s gaze turned fervent, and even through the black glass of the helmet, Wu Chang could feel the heat.

”Are you interested in joining us?”

Wu Chang asked back, ”Can we discuss this? Can you first tell me why you can disregard my attack?”

At this moment, the helmed man was the butcher, and Wu Chang was the meat. In the helmed man’s eyes, the Mysterious Rookie before him would certainly join them if he didn’t want to die.

The helmed man already regarded himself as a mentor to their organization, guiding Wu Chang:

”We guessed correctly. You are indeed not from a major organization nor a core member of any force. The reason is simple: it’s tier suppression.”

”Players who break through the Abyss First Layer and enter the Abyss Second Layer will have a Tier Barrier on their skin, which offsets the opponent’s 100 points in All Attributes when facing those in the Abyss First Layer.”

”In other words, the power with which you just hit me was weakened by 100 points, yet you could still make me, known for defense, stagger forward. You’ve only been in the Abyssal Game for such a short time. Do you really have no cheats?”

Wu Chang looked at the helmed man, who was enthusiastically answering his questions, and revealed a bitter smile.

Weakened by 100 Attribute Points, this fists hit nm.

The helmed man in front seemed foolish, exposing his cards, while actually showcasing the power and telling Wu Chang the difference in strength between them, urging him to surrender.

But surrendering meant abandoning He Yun and giving up this Pillar of the Present World.

The helmed man asked, ”So, have you made up your mind, do you want to join us?”

Wu Chang turned to look at He Yun, asking without turning his head, ”This Tier Barrier only offsets attributes, right?”

The helmed man: ”Isn’t that enough?”

”No, it’s not enough.”

Next, Wu Chang raised his elbow, shouted loudly;

”Man!”

He spun around, his elbow like a blade chopping towards the helmed man’s face. The helmed man sneered and raised his hand to grab Wu Chang’s arm, intending to take him down. But Wu Chang’s arm seemed boneless, evading the grab with an uncanny angle, before striking the helm on the helmed man’s head with his elbow.
