Death… And Me

Chapter 3367  Shine!

*Boom, boom, boom...*

As Herbert and Kalamdra exchanged moves, so did Herbert Clan members against Kalamdraʼs group. They were in the worst condition, though. Just like Herbert, his clan members also used a lot of their energy and were injured in the previous fight against Zantie and Xeshtʼs groups.

Yet, surprisingly, neither Herbert nor his clan members seemed to go down, regardless of how much Kalamdra and his group attacked. Kalamdra started to find it strange. Having seen the fight earlier, he was sure Herbert would start losing his strength by now. Yet, Herbert continued to fight ferociously, and Kalamdra had to use more and more energy to keep pinning him down. ʼWhatʼs happening here? How come they are not succumbing to his injuries?ʼ

The same thoughts flowed inside Kalamdraʼs group members. In any other situation, they would have won a long time ago, so how were they still fighting.

*Bang, bang, bang!*

Als in the same giant room, Kentucky flew with all his strength, not holding back with his Sky Energy or Bloodline. That wasnʼt enough to stop Hikiʼs attacks, though, the cultivation difference being too big. It was thanks to Rean and Roan, who always deflected the attacks that Kentucky couldnʼt deal with, that their group managed to last this long with such a difference in power.

Yet, little did Hiki, Kalamdra, or anyone else notice it. Reanʼs Life World Domain wasnʼt just about nullifying enemiesʼ powers anymore. With his evolution, especially the addition of a Celestial Soul and Bloodline, Rean could also add some of his techniques inside it.

So, there were two specific ones that Rean rarely used that were being displayed right now.

ʼLife Style, Fifth Form, Light Aura Burst!ʼ

ʼLife Style, Sixth Form, Healing Aura!ʼ

These skills existed for the sole purpose of helping experts who were not connected to him, like Kentucky and Roan. Those two could use his Enhancement and Instant Recovery skills, so Rean never had the need to use these skills to help them since the Fifth and Sixth Forms had a broader and yet weaker effect.

Today, however, he was fighting with Herbertʼs group and Herbert himself. Thus, Rean embedded his Healing Aura and Light Aura Burst into his Life World Domain! Thanks to that, not only could those two skills reach much further away, but they didnʼt lose much power either. The only downside was that Rean had to use a lot more Sky Energy in the process.

A lot more Sky Energy... For anyone else, that would be a big issue. Fortunately, Rean, Roan, and Kentucky had energy pools that were ridiculously big... although that also made their cultivation much slower and required a lot more energy for breakthroughs. In any case, they definitely matched the energy pools of Elemental Space Realm experts.

Roanʼs Death World Domain didnʼt change like Reanʼs Life World Domain did, though. Not that Roan couldnʼt embed other skills, but that his Death World Domain was best as it is. The ability to corrode and reduce the power of enemy domains caused the enemies to spend a lot more energy just to keep their domains running. It was better for Roan to use his energy fully on the Death World Domainʼs main ability rather than trying to add anything to it.

Thatʼs how Herbert and his Clan members were able to fight so long. Rean kept healing their internal injuries, only leaving the external ones exposed to make it look like they were getting worse. Yet, it was all superficial. *Clang! Boom!*

Kentucky made a sharp turn, and a bloody claw just missed his wing by an inch, Courtesy of Roanʼs Death Scythe skill. The claw hit the wall on the side, causing an explosion of energy and blood power.

Hiki was starting to feel annoyed. He used his time and spatial powers nonstop, but he always failed at the last moment. That made him furious. Rean, Roan, and Kentucky were indeed much stronger than their cultivation would normally allow. However, Hiki was still faster and stronger. He should have caught them a long time ago.

All was for nothing, though. Using various weird moves and decisions that looked nothing but craziness, the twins and Kentucky managed to get away from him. Hiki wasnʼt an idiot. That was the kind of result you would acquire against extremely experienced experts. ʼThis is ridiculous! Just how many times would they have fought Space-Time Realm experts to reach this degree of experience? Itʼs as if they always know what Iʼm going to do. They can even make up for my Time Power slowing them down while speeding me up!ʼ

There was another reason why Hiki wasnʼt able to defeat the twins. Because of the twins and Kentuckyʼs strengths, his orders were to capture instead of killing them. They wanted to acquire whatever they got in the Mist Library. They had no idea that Rean, Roan, and Kentuckyʼs strength had nothing to do with it. Well, they wouldnʼt believe it even if they were told the truth. Herbert himself still couldnʼt believe it, and he knew the twins didnʼt get anything that could increase their power from the Library.

*Zash, shiu!*

Kentucky managed to dodge another attack before Roanʼs voice echoed in Rean and Kentuckyʼs minds through their connection. ʼItʼs about time they will give up trying to capture us. Any more than this, and Kalamdra will waste too much of his energy, which will be bad since Samalia is still only looking from afar.ʼ

ʼWill they let us go then?ʼ Kentucky asked, his eyes 100% focused on Hiki.

ʼNo,ʼ Roan shook his head. ʼLetting us go would add another variable to the situation. They will definitely change their approach to simply kill us now.ʼ

Rean narrowed his eyes. ʼThat is not good. I can heal everyoneʼs internal injuries, and I can nullify their opponentʼs domain effects, but I canʼt replenish their energies. Both Herbert and his Clan members are on their limits. You could say they are fighting on fumes already.ʼ

Roan agreed with him. ʼThatʼs why we need to end this now. The moment they switch to the intention to kill is the moment they will be most vulnerable. Above all, we must make sure that we can kill Kalamdra or at least injure him to the point he can only run away.ʼ

ʼAnd how exactly do you intend to do that? We are barely managing to keep that wolf off our backs,ʼ Rean asked. ʼEven Rifindio is having a hard time helping Herbertʼs Clan members.ʼ

Roan glanced at Rean, a cold, faint smile on his face. ʼItʼs time for your disciple to shine.ʼ
