Death… And Me

Chapter 3362  Still Havenʼt Tried It?

Rean bitterly smiled. Sure enough, this Mist Library or whatever had a sentience of its own. Also, he now understands why the Mist Library allowed him to pass the last challenge. It simply wanted to get back at him once he made his request. ”Well... letʼs just say I already gained enough by acquiring the Starlight Crystals, shall we?”

Herbert checked the note Rean received, finding it strange. ”Just what did you do to the Mist Libraryʼs Sentience for it to hate you this much?”

”Ahem...” Rean pretended to not hear that question. ”Alright, Herbert, it is your time to select something. Do you know what you are going to ask?”

Herbert nodded, stepping on the mark on the ground after Rean left there. ”I want the second part of the Mist Flow Cultivation Technique.”

-So you are a descendant of the previous group, uh?- The Mist Libraryʼs voice echoed in the room. -Last time, I couldnʼt give the full version of the Mist Flow Technique since it was divided in two. Each part was considered as a separate piece. You made a very good choice.-

The library shined again, and another book materialized before it slowly floated into Herbertʼs hands. Taking a quick look inside, Herbert smiled in delight, confirming that it was the real deal. ”Finally... the Mist Flow Techniqueʼs Full Version is mine! Hahaha!”

Herbert quickly sent the book into his Pocket Dimensional Realm, where he could use his consciousness to read it all at once. At the same time, he came out of the mark still looking extremely satisfied.

”Is the technique really that good?” Rean asked out of curiosity.

Herbert nodded. ”But of course! Legend says that this technique can bring you all the way up to the Celestial Realm. Whether it is true or not, Iʼm not sure, but Iʼm certain it can bring me to the Peak Stage of the Divinity Realm at the very least.”

”I see...” Rean was also happy for him. ”Good for you. Your ancestor, who acquired the first part, would feel very proud of you.”

”I believe so, too,” Herbert couldnʼt agree more.

With everyone having their own requests fulfilled... except for Rean... the Mist Library spoke again. -This concludes this timeʼs exchange.-

*Zum...*

Then, the White Mist around concentrated in a single point, quickly forming a door for them to pass through. -Please leave through the Mist Door. It will send you straight back to where you came from.-

”This...” Herbert didnʼt like that very much. ”Can we be sent back to somewhere else? Preferably, out of the Mist Library altogether?” If they were sent where the amphora was located, there was no doubt Zantie would demand to know what happened. In the worst-case scenario, the other experts like Xesht and Samalia might also be there now.

Unfortunately, the Libraryʼs sentience did not answer. Not only that, the Mist Library around them began to disappear, and that space started to contract in their direction. If it continued like that, the twinsʼ group would be swallowed by that White Mist in a few moments.

Roan glanced at Rean, contacting him through their connection. ʼIʼm going back into the Dimensional Realm.ʼ

Rean nodded, understanding Roanʼs plan. ʼAlright, Iʼm going to use the Mist Door.ʼ

Roan immediately disappeared, leaving Rifindio, Rean, Kentucky, and Herbert behind.

Herbert understood that staying there wasnʼt a good idea, so he quickly approached the Mist Door. ”Letʼs go. Also, be ready for anything.”

Everyone quickly approached the door, passing through it just as the Mist Library was about to disappear.

*Zush, zush, zush, zush...*

The transfer only took an instant. Before they knew it, they were already back where the amphora was located. In front of everyoneʼs eyes, the White Mist coming out of the amphora came out and concentrated in a single point, giving form to Rean and the others. It was a very curious method of transportation that didnʼt seem to rely only on Spatial Powers.

”Look! Itʼs them!” Someone suddenly spoke.

Herbert, Rean, Kentucky, and Rifindioʼs visions came back to normal, and the White Mist surrounding them returned to the amphora. As they looked around, they noticed that the number of groups waiting around the amphora increased quite a bit. Also, Zantie wasnʼt the only Bookmark Owner there anymore. Samalia was also there, having arrived just a few minutes after Roan and the others disappeared.

”Well, well, well...” Zantie snorted, looking at the group that had just appeared. ”To think you would come back here. Could it be you had no other choice, Herbert?”

Herbert looked around, narrowing his eyes before turning in Zantieʼs direction. ”So what? Do you have a problem with that?” Right after, he waved his hand, and his Clan Members appeared again.

Hebert had thought about releasing his Clan Members back in the Library, but Rean had told him the Libraryʼs Sentience only allowed at most five companions. He definitely wouldnʼt risk bringing them out and being expelled from the Library as punishment. Perhaps the Library might have even killed him because of that. Now, however, he didnʼt need to keep them in his Pocket Dimensional Realm anymore.

Still, there were many experts there, not only Zantie and Samaliaʼs. Everyone was looking at Herbertʼs group as huge pieces of meat. They had to make them give up whatever they got while they were away.

Samalia positioned herself with her members to make sure Herbertʼs group wouldnʼt be able to escape. ”Herbert, why donʼt you let us take a look at your spoils? No, even better than that. Why donʼt you tell us how you entered the amphora?”

It was then that Herbert had an idea. ”You guys are truly a bunch of idiots. You still havenʼt figured out how I entered it? Zantie! Who touched the amphora first?”

Zantie was taken aback, looking at Rean. ”That brat you brought with you. Why?”

”Hmph!” Herbert snorted. ”Still donʼt understand? Itʼs his cultivation, idiot! The amphora has a cultivation limit for those who want to enter it. After he got inside, he opened a path for us. I canʼt believe that none of you tried to use someone in the Void Tempering Realm yet...”

”This...” Zantie looked at his group. The problem was that he didnʼt bring anyone in the Void Tempering Realm. The weakest member of his group was already in the Middle Stage of the Space Bending Realm... And, afraid something like what happened to Herbertʼs group could happen again, Zantie didnʼt let anyone else get close to the amphora anymore. Turns out no one in the Void Tempering Realm had the chance to try to touch it until now!
