Death… And Me

Chapter 3240: Letʼs Keep Them

”Hum?” Rean was confused. ”But you have always been very good at creating new types of pills.”

”Idiot,” Roan snorted. ”Most of the pills I created had a basis for me to work on. Even those Laws Comprehension Pills were no different. I used the information of other types of pills that could do the same thing, albeit temporarily. You could say that what I really did was create new and much better versions of already existing pills.”

He continued. ”This pill you asked for, however, is a completely uncharted territory. The Void Shattering Pill I enhanced from the normal one is already very good. It has pretty much no side effects and even improves the body, like cleaning the meridians or even destroying and rebuilding them if necessary.”

”However, just like Sister Orb mentioned, it barely touches the soul. You could say that the improvement of the soul during the breakthroughs comes mostly from the breakthroughs themselves, and only a bit of it is caused by the pill. It truly only does enough so a cultivatorʼs soul can support the energy cultivation.”

”Now, what does this new Void Shattering Pill need?” Roan asked and answered straight away. ”It needs to allow for breakthroughs of the Soul, Body, and Energy. It has to improve all three fronts at similar levels. We are talking here about a pill made with Sky Energy! There are no records for Sky Energy Pills. Iʼve never made Pills that relied on Sky Energy, either. There is no way I can create such a thing in a short time.”

Rean pondered a bit. ”But do you think you can create one?”

”It is meaningless,” Roan answered again. ”Iʼll make it simple. I am confident I can create such a pill if I am given enough time, but we are talking about decades of trial and error. A lot of research, resources, and even luck is involved. We donʼt have time. We donʼt have resources. What about luck?”

Rean bitterly smiled. ”Luck? Since when are we lucky? If we were lucky, we wouldnʼt get involved in so much bullshit. I will consider myself lucky once the Destiny Attraction feature of the system stops working... and I doubt that will happen anytime soon.”

”Exactly,” Roan agreed there. ”There is another reason why creating such a pill is meaningless. Since it would probably take decades to research such a pill, we might as well just cultivate normally. With our knowledge, we would reach the Void Tempering Realm way before I finish the right recipe for such a pill.”

[Well, it seems like you understand now. Donʼt try to use the Void Shattering Pill. It is more likely that its nature of cultivating only one thing will cause a deviation in your foundations. It is risky and not worth trying.]

In the end, since the twins couldnʼt use the Void Shattering Pill, there was no way they would buy that technique. They would rather stay in the Peak Stage of the Transition Realm for now.

”Okay, letʼs put it aside for the time being. This is not the moment to restart,” Roan quickly gave up the idea of buying it.

”Indeed,” Rean followed. ”However, things will be a lot easier in the Divine Realm. We should prioritize it once we get there. Letʼs just find some corner in the Divine Realm and go into secluded cultivation. With Divine Energy at our disposal and the Foundation Fragment we bought, reaching the Transition Realm will be even faster than what it was here.”

Roan also had the same intention. ”Thatʼs our only choice.”

They couldnʼt take the technique now, but it was true they would be stronger once they did. Above all, they would stop having to cultivate two different things. Letʼs not forget that when the twins are cultivating Starlight Energy, they can not cultivate Spiritual/Divine Energy. The Celestial Sky Soul Bloodline Cultivation Technique would eliminate that problem and even cultivate their soul as a bonus in the process.

”By the way, Sister Orb,” Rean thought of something else. ”When we cultivate with this new technique, will our body, soul, and energy have separated realms? Do we refer to each of them individually?”

[No,] Sister Orb answered while looking at the techniqueʼs information. [All three are considered the one and the same. It is just like your Sky Energy. Body, Soul, and Energy will become one. You will not feel like you are cultivating three things simultaneously, only one. When the time comes for a breakthrough, all three will jump into the next realm together as one. In fact, calling the body, soul, and energy separately would be incorrect. When I say all three become one, I mean it.]

The twins got even more interested. The body had the bloodline, the dantian had the energy, and the soul had the soul power. How do all those three become one? Is it a figure of speech? They will only find out later.

”Okay,” Rean nodded. ”What more does the technique say? Does it have anything else new?”

[Thatʼs the part I think you will like the most. Before, your Light and Dark Elements Cultivation Technique only went to the Divinity Realm. There was nothing after that, and you were constantly seeking information from the Semi-Celestials and other sources to figure out how to enter the Celestial Realm. Well, now it does have information about the Celestial Realm Breakthrough. Not only that, it also has information beyond Celestial.]

”You mean... the God Realm?” The twins couldnʼt help but remember the vial of golden blood they received. According to the Golden Crow, that was the blood of a God Realm Expert. [Yes,] Sister Orb confirmed. [Unfortunately, I donʼt have access to those levels. I can only see they exist, but the system isnʼt allowing me to check them. What a bummer.]

Rean shrugged. ”Itʼs fine. We are far from that anyway, so there is no point worrying now.” Instead, Rean asked. ”Now that I think about it, we earned 100 Celestial Points in the last quest, right? How much do we have now?”

[You got another hundred, but you also used some of what you had prior. Discounting the Body Fusion and the Cultivation Unbalance Domain, you were left with 124 Celestial points.] Rean and Roan didnʼt need to think much to decide. ”Letʼs just keep these points for now.”
