Death… And Me

Chapter 3233: I Donʼt Believe It

Clansto and Tiaba looked at each other. Divine Realm? Sure, they heard about it. Who hasnʼt? Thatʼs where Rean and Roan intended to bring them to save their lives before the planet went nuts. However, the planet was now fine, and neither Clansto nor Tiaba were truly real cultivators. They enjoyed their slow life, and they absolutely loved their actual home.

In the end, the two smiled and shook their heads. ”We will stay. Divine Realm, the path of cultivation, battles, struggles, the way to greatness... None of those things interest the two of us. We already have a great life, and if the planet is fine, we have no reason to leave. Sorry for rejecting your offers.”

Roan gave a rare nod of approval. The path of cultivation was pretty much everyone mortalʼs dream, but how many could really say they were happy? Clansto and Tiaba, on the other hand, didnʼt care about such things, but it was obvious that happiness was already present in their lives. Is cultivation really worth throwing it away? Roan definitely didnʼt think so. ”Thatʼs a reasonable choice.”

Rean, too, was happy to hear that. ”Thatʼs settled them. Stay here for a while. After you were taken away by Tomoe, you werenʼt allowed to use your Werdlem Stone IDs since you were connected to me. That said, I will swap your Werdlem Stones for two different ones. You will be able to the Werdlem Communication Devices after that.”

Clansto and Tiaba had nothing against it. ”Well, seems like we wonʼt need to ask our son to do all the work on that anymore.”

Rean continued. ”So? What about your son? Do you wish for him to come with us, or should we leave him here with you? There is also that girlfriend of his.”

Clansto and Tiaba werenʼt certain. They didnʼt have any interest in the path of cultivation, but that didnʼt mean their son didnʼt. They talked a lot since they were brought inside the Dimensional Realm, and Jue seemed genuinely excited about the prospect of going to the Divine Realm with his girlfriend. But, at the same time, he also hated the idea of abandoning the planet to its fate. ”You will have to ask him directly.”

”So be it,” Rean didnʼt mind and immediately teleported Jue and Dissandra to the same area. He quickly explained the situation, and after answering Jue and Dissandraʼs questions regarding the planetʼs outcome, he asked again. ”In that case, there is no need for you to go to the Divine Realm with us anymore. Are you staying behind or do you want to come with us? Remember! We will not take care of you. Once we get there, we will set you free, and you will have to live your lives on your own. We probably wonʼt ever meet again after that.”

Dissandra was the first one to answer. ”Iʼm staying!”

Jue looked at her, already expecting that answer. ”The sect, right?”

Dissandra nodded. ”If the only choice was death, then I had to go. But if the sect and the planet arenʼt going to be destroyed anymore, I want to stay with the girls of the sect. Sorry, Jue. I know it is selfish, but I just canʼt let go. Even if it means we will get separated, I will still stay behind.”

Jue didnʼt mind it. ”There is no need to apologize. I, too, am staying.”

”You are?” Clansto asked back, shocked. ”I thought that now that the planet was fine, you would absolutely go to the Divine Realm. You were the most excited one about it.”

Jue took one of Dissandraʼs hands, his face a picture of resolve. ”I am excited about the Divine Realm, but not as much as I am excited about the idea of staying with her. Who knows? Perhaps Dissandra and I will reach the Peak Stage of the Transition Realm one day and ascend together? Anything is possible.”

Dissandra couldnʼt help but grow slightly red. Such a declaration in front of everyone wasnʼt easy to take with a calm face. Of course, she was definitely happy to hear that. ”Idiot...” Clansto and Tiaba smiled. They were definitely happy about their son staying with them. Finally, they looked at Rean and Roan. ”There you have it. All of us are staying behind.”

The twins nodded and respected their decision. ”Then we will bring you back to the city later. We can talk more later.” Then, Rean sent Clanstoʼs group back to their corner of the Dimensional Realm... which was now over a hundred times bigger after the twinsʼ breakthroughs. Letʼs not forget that the twins bought an upgrade that increased the size of their Dimensional Realm according to their cultivation.

*Zush!*

Last but not least, Rean teleported Tomoe Gozen to his side. ”Only you now.” Then, he told her everything without hiding a single detail.

Tomoe was shocked to hear the whole story. Abyssal Soul, a battle involving countless Transition Realm experts, their victory, the destruction of the formations, etc. She had to be given some time to organize all that information in her head, ultimately taking a deep breath in the end. ”Just what kind of fate do the three of you carry? You are always involved in so many weird events.” She obviously added Kentucky to that mix.

Rean, Roan, and even Kentuckyʼs expression turned dark. Why? Isnʼt that obvious? It was because of that fucking Destiny Attraction Feature of the system, of course! That shit still worked at full power, even after they saved Lisan Universe. Too bad they couldnʼt tell Tomoe about that.

”Letʼs just say it is out of our hands...” The twins and Kentucky answered, casting an annoyed look at the Orb not far away.

[What? Why are you looking at me? It is not my fault, okay?!] Poor, poor Sister Orb felt wronged.

Rean sighed and just let it go. ”In any case, thatʼs the whole story. That also means you donʼt need to come with us to the Divine Realm. What will you do?”

Tomoe smiled, her answer already certain. ”Iʼm obviously staying. That is my sect, and those are my girls.”

Rean nodded. ”Then I guess the next days will be the last time we will see each other. It was good to meet you, so thank you for everything you did for Clansto and Tiaba in advance.” Tomoe shook her head. ”Donʼt worry. We will meet again. My journey will not end on this planet.”

Rean almost laughed, and Roan mentally snorted. None of them believed that at all.
