The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 2822: Chapter 2822: Brotherhood (2)

However, Yang Ruxin knew that although the two young people might have mutual affection, the Qin Family was now not able to catch the Hen Family’s eye. The Hen Family comes from a lineage of aristocratic families in the medical field, and Hen Ziyue is among the well-respected young women of Beijing, with both looks and talent. Many have already approached her with marriage proposals.

But as for the Qin Family, it’s not the same situation. Although they have some money, they lack heritage, and with Qin Shou having so many concubines, this alone would lead to Hen Yizheng dismissing them with a single word.

As expected, Qin Shou came alone to find Yang Ruxin.

”I want to propose to Hen Ziyue.” Qin Shou didn’t beat around the bush and got straight to the point, ”Do you think it’s feasible?”

Yang Ruxin let out a cold laugh: ”What do you think yourself?”

”I...”

”Let’s not talk about the status of the Hen Family. Take Hen Yizheng’s attitude towards his wife for instance. Over twenty years ago, after his wife passed away, he didn’t remarry, and raised his two sons alone. And both sons now each have only one wife, not taking any concubines...”

Qin Shou scratched his head, regretting his past foolishness.

”Do you think Hen Yizheng would let his eldest granddaughter marry a businessman with many wives?” Yang Ruxin sneered, ”I won’t hide it from you, several aristocratic families in Beijing have expressed their intention to marry into the Hen Family, so...”

”Ruxin, I messed up before. Can’t I change after this?” Qin Shou looked distressed, ”I really hold Ziyue dear to me.”

”Talking to me won’t help.” Yang Ruxin sighed, ”You need to win Ziyue’s heart with sincerity, move Hen Yizheng’s heart with sincerity, and make the old man believe you’re a better match for Ziyue than those aristocratic offspring. Otherwise, I really can’t help you.”

”I understand.” Qin Shou nodded, ”I was just wondering, will you support me?”

”If you can be good to Ziyue, I’ll support you. Otherwise, even if you marry, you can still divorce.”

”Ruxin, why don’t you ever think well of me?” Qin Shou chuckled bitterly.

”Are you chasing Ziyue because Hao Jian is about to get married, and you want to compete with him?”

”Ruxin, I can compete in all matters, but how can this be a competition?” Qin Shou was anxious, ”I’m just worried that one day she’ll leave, and it’ll be hard for me to see her, so I want to make things official. As long as she agrees, whatever she asks, I’ll do.”

”For this matter, you’d better go home and discuss it with your father.” Yang Ruxin waved her hand, ”You can’t manage it on your own.” Old Qin, that sly fox, should make more strategic moves.

Qin Shou stood up and darted away.

He had just left when Hao Jian swaggered in: ”Ruxin.”

Ever since he and Peng Mingzi became a couple, he has been living as though soaking in honey, grinning from ear to ear all day, making it hard to look at him.

”Are you here to gloat?” Yang Ruxin raised her eyelids.

”No, I want to say that Beast has it quite rough, I’ve never seen him care so much for any woman.”

Yang Ruxin raised an eyebrow.

”Ruxin, your opinion matters, so could you help him out?”

Yang Ruxin laughed: ”Brotherly love?”

Hao Jian scratched his head.

”Actually, I can’t help with this matter, he can only do it himself.” Yang Ruxin gestured dismissively, ”Only if he has enough sincerity for Hen Yizheng to acknowledge him, can it work.”

”But...”

”No buts.” Yang Ruxin abruptly interrupted him, ”Quickly go around the nearby villages again, and collect more pork.”
