The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 2607: Chapter 2607: Truly Sick (4)

”Ah!” Gu Sheng was suddenly drenched with a basin of unknown water, feeling a chill to the bone, and couldn’t help but exclaim. Of course, what shocked him more was the unbearably pungent smell of the water. ”What are you doing?”

”Where did this mad dog come from, barking endlessly at my doorstep?” Feng Zilan, holding a basin in one hand and her waist in the other, shouted. ”Throwing slop at you is cheap for you. Next time, if you come here, I’ll break your legs.” She glanced at the doorkeeper, ”In the future, if you see this person, beat him out with sticks immediately.”

The doorkeeper saw Yang Ruxin and Gu Qingheng both speak up to stop, and quickly nodded.

”You... you crazy hag...” Gu Sheng naturally recognized Feng Zilan. She was someone who had married into the Gu Family with Shu Manzhi, and used to greet him respectfully as ’Master.’ But now she was throwing slop at him, and he couldn’t hold back his rage.

”You’re the real madman.” Feng Zilan, fearless of Gu Sheng now, wished she could tear him apart. Finally having the chance, she wouldn’t back down, lunging forward with the basin to hit him. ”You beast wearing human skin, how dare you even live?”

”Mother.” Gu Qingheng hastily pulled Feng Zilan back, took the basin from her, ”Leave dirty work like throwing slop and laborious tasks like hitting and chasing people to the servants. You are the madam now; it’s not appropriate for you to act personally.”

Yang Ruxin twitched slightly at the corner of her mouth; her own husband seemed to be going darkened, but his proper demeanor was truly charming.

Feng Zilan, quivering from anger, having heard Gu Sheng was at the door earlier, rushed out in fury. She really hated him, if not for him, how could madam have passed away so early, and how could the eldest young master have suffered so much? He’s just a beast.

Yang Ruxin hurriedly went over to embrace Feng Zilan: ”Mother, don’t be angry,” as she gently patted her back.

Only then did Feng Zilan slowly relax.

Gu Di quickly called for people to clean up the doorstep.

Those servants were experts at watching for signals, dragging water buckets to douse outside, completely ignoring that Gu Sheng was still standing there.

Gu Sheng trembled with anger, wanting to say something more, but he reeked too badly, and in the cold of winter, his wet clothes left him freezing and shaking, forcing him to hurriedly leave.

”Gu Sheng, you old bastard, if I ever see you again, I won’t care what official you are, I’ll castrate you,” Feng Zilan shouted, unable to hold back as she watched his retreating figure. ”I’m willing to die with you!”

Gu Sheng left even faster, and after returning this time, the official Gu truly fell ill, no longer needing to feign sickness.

In the Royal Study Room.

Emperor Xuanjing sat behind the dragon desk, listening to Wu Zhaoyao, head of the embroidered guards, report on Gu Sheng’s condition: ”The official Gu went home and fell ill, constantly feverish, fluctuating between better and worse.”

”Heh.” Emperor Xuanjing suddenly laughed. ”In that case, he can’t handle the job of Minister of Rites, can he?”

Wu Zhaoyao lowered his head, not daring to respond. Moreover, the emperor likely did not need his answer.

”Someone come.” Emperor Xuanjing suddenly called out.

Wu Zhaoyao instantly leaped onto the beam and disappeared.

Eunuch Ping hurriedly walked in: ”Your Majesty.”

”You represent me to convey regards to the official Gu,” Emperor Xuanjing glanced at Eunuch Ping, ”and bring Medical Officer Hen over to take a look at him.”
