The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 2595: Chapter 2595: Sorrow (2)

Yang Ruxin couldn’t help but sigh.

”Don’t sigh.” Jiang Fangfei said while lowering her head to eat, ”I have known my duty since I was a child. Anyway, I don’t have someone I love, so it doesn’t matter who I marry.” A face flashed through her mind, but it quickly disappeared. It’s not that she doesn’t want to love someone, but she’s afraid to. Once she loves someone, it would be a lifetime of suffering and would also hurt the other person.

Yang Ruxin looked at the girl in front of her, who was pretending to be nonchalant, and felt nothing but heartache. Which girl doesn’t have dreams of romance? Yet, she forced herself to bury her feelings and dared not reveal them even a little. Nonetheless, she nodded: ”When the time comes, I’ll send you two eagles. That way it’ll be easier for us to stay in touch.”

”Great, I knew Xinxin treats me the best.” Jiang Fangfei nodded enthusiastically, ”I’ve been longing for your Xiaohei for a long time.”

”I’m not willing to give them to you.” Yang Ruxin glared at Jiang Fangfei.

”I knew it.” Jiang Fangfei pouted deliberately, ”But never mind, anything you give me will be good. I’m not picky.”

”You’re getting benefits and still acting coy.”

Jiang Fangfei made a funny face.

After the meal, Jiang Fangfei followed Yang Ruxin to the General Residence.

In the Hengxin Pavilion, Yang Ruxin dismissed everyone else before looking at Jiang Fangfei: ”If you want to cry, just cry.”

”Why would I cry?” Jiang Fangfei pouted, ”This is a good thing.” Yet the next moment, her eyes turned red.

Yang Ruxin sighed again and went over to hold Jiang Fangfei in her arms.

Jiang Fangfei rested her head on Yang Ruxin’s shoulder. Although there was no sound, Yang Ruxin felt the fabric on her shoulder getting wet, and couldn’t help but sigh. This was the sorrow of being a woman; by comparison, she was truly lucky.

”Xinxin, do you know? I liked him from the first time I saw him.” Jiang Fangfei leaned on Yang Ruxin’s shoulder, not lifting her head, ”That was three years ago; he was already the leader of the guard... At that time, I was flying a kite in the Imperial Garden, not watching my path, and I almost ran into a tree, but...” She suddenly laughed, ”But it didn’t hurt. It turned out he couldn’t stop me in time and had to rush over to shield the tree with his body, so I crashed into his back.”

Yang Ruxin nodded, realizing there was such a connection between them. No wonder when Wu Zhaoyao got injured in the competition with the Yuan Country envoy, Jiang Fangfei was so anxious.

”At that time I was okay, but his face was flushed, even his neck was red.”

”You know, he’s usually very serious. All the guards fear him, and some even say they’ve never seen him smile, even after years of following him. But every time he sees me, he can’t look directly at me and he blushes, even the tips of his ears turn red. I find it especially amusing.” Jiang Fangfei finally let go of Yang Ruxin and took out a handkerchief to wipe her tears, ”That’s why every time I see him, I tease him just to make him blush and look helpless. It makes me really happy.”

”Afterward, I even dreamt about him.”

”I know maybe I like him, but I don’t dare to show it. I don’t dare tell anyone. Originally I thought, maybe after a few years, if I didn’t have to marry far away and he wasn’t married, I’d find a way to marry him. But now, I can’t wait anymore...”

”Actually, I’ve always wanted to ask him if he likes me too. But then I think, what’s the point of asking? What’s the point of liking? We have no future together, it would just add more worries.”
