The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 2587: Chapter 2587: Entering the Palace (5)

”Alright.” Wei Yao exhaled, ”It seems I’ve been worrying for nothing these days.” She looked at Qi Jingyi, ”Before this, there were no outsiders, it’s always been you talking and me listening. Honestly, there’s no girl who wouldn’t be moved by words like that. Even now, I still don’t know why you fancy me, but since you’ve got me involved, let me make it clear in front of Xinxin: if you ever leave me, just set me free, don’t expect me to swallow my pride and endure.”

”Okay.” Qi Jingyi glanced at Yang Ruxin and then stared at Wei Yao for a long time, finally nodding, ”Xinxin can be our witness.”

Yang Ruxin rubbed her nose. What good is it for her to testify? However, she didn’t refuse, as long as they felt this would keep things secure.

”Let’s go, time to check the beans.” Wei Yao smiled, then arrogantly waved her hand and led the way out.

Qi Jingyi turned to Yang Ruxin: ”Xinxin, I’ll treat her well.”

Yang Ruxin nodded: ”I believe you.”

Perhaps she really came to terms with it, Wei Yao began to openly date Qi Jingyi. As for whether it could lead to a happy ending, both temporarily put that thought aside.

After spending an afternoon amusing themselves with the beans, Qi Jingyi and Wei Yao were about to say goodbye when, unexpectedly, the Crown Prince returned with Gu Qingheng.

Seeing this, Qi Jingyi naturally had to stay to accompany Brother Crown Prince.

The Crown Prince’s purpose in visiting, aside from wanting to see the child, was mainly to call on Old Master Shu Xing. This time, Shu Xing arrived very discreetly, without contacting anyone outside, not even when Qi Jingyi came. Otherwise, there would surely be a steady stream of visitors, though Gu Qingheng informed the Crown Prince, with the old man’s consent, of course.

Shu Xing not only had been a teacher to the current Emperor but had also taught the Crown Prince.

In ancient times, people respected their teachers and valued their guidance. Although the Crown Prince had a prestigious status, he remained humble before Shu Xing.

After dinner, they went to the study for a chat. No one knew when they left, but the next day, Shu Xing praised the Crown Prince, saying he had a great mind, and such a person would surely become a wise ruler in the future.

Shu Xing previously said he wanted to serve in an official capacity again, but the opportunity hadn’t been right. After this visit, perhaps that chance was near.

The day before the Jin Country Prince arrived, the Empress Dowager specially sent her nanny to bring Yang Ruxin and the others into the palace, saying it was to welcome the three beans.

Qi Zizi accompanied them.

So, Yang Ruxin and two mothers took a group of youngsters and boarded the carriage.

”Why didn’t Sister Fangfei join us?” Sini couldn’t help but ask Qi Zizi.

Qi Zizi curled her lips, ”Cousin wanted to come, but someone clung onto her wanting to come along, so she didn’t.”

”Who was it?” Sini asked curiously.

”It’s the princess from Miaojiang.” Qi Zizi said, suddenly lowering her voice and leaning close to Sini’s ear, ”I’ll tell you, that person fancies Brother Xinxin.”

”Ah?” Sini exclaimed in surprise.

”Really.” Qi Zizi nodded, ”She keeps asking about Brother Xinxin, and treats me like I’m small, trying to get information out of me. Hmph, but I’ve seen plenty like her. I’m telling you, when we get to the palace, if you encounter her, just ignore her.”

”If she’s really so shameless, I’ll punch her.” Sini shook her fist.

”But I don’t think you could beat her, she’s a head taller than you.” Qi Zizi shook her head, ”Besides, fighting in the palace would upset the Empress Dowager.”
