The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 2591: Chapter 2591: Shameless (4)

Princess Ahyang hurriedly stopped her: ”I speak Mandarin. I thought you also spoke Miao like him.” There was a hint of disdain in her tone.

”Princess Ahyang, why are you looking for me?” Yang Ruxin couldn’t be bothered to figure out a little girl’s mind.

”General Gu is a remarkable person.” Princess Ahyang’s eyes were gleaming, ”He saved our Miaojiang.”

”Yes, he has saved many people.”

”I like him.”

”Yes, a lot of people like him.”

”You...” Princess Ahyang was stunned. Why wasn’t this woman following the script?

”Is there anything else?” Yang Ruxin looked at her with clear eyes.

”I...”

”If there’s nothing else, let’s go inside. Don’t keep the Empress Dowager waiting.” Yang Ruxin smiled and turned to walk towards the main hall.

Princess Ahyang watched Yang Ruxin’s back, her brow furrowed in confusion. What was up with this woman? Unable to figure it out, she decided not to dwell on it. Just as she was about to follow, someone blocked her way.

”Are you the Princess of Miaojiang?” Sanni raised an eyebrow slightly.

”Yes.” Princess Ahyang nodded.

”If you dare covet my brother-in-law again, watch out or I’ll beat you up.” Sanni shook her fist, ”Try it if you don’t believe me.” With that, she turned and walked away.

Sini also glared at Princess Ahyang: ”Shameless.”

Zhou Ying stuck out her tongue: ”Shameless.”

Erya made a face directly: ”Shameless.”

Princess Ahyang: ...

The luncheon was held in Kangshou Palace. The Emperor, along with the Crown Prince and a few other princes in the capital, joined in the fun. They didn’t leave immediately after the meal; instead, they chatted with everyone for a while.

Nobody knew if the Emperor was provoked by the children, but without exception, he gave a lecture to his sons who hadn’t taken a wife yet, focusing mainly on Qi Jingyun.

Xiao Jin was actually anxious about her son’s marriage, but unfortunately, when sons grow up they don’t listen to their mothers. Her position in the harem was secured thanks to her son. Initially, she didn’t think highly of Yang Ruxin, but knowing that in the recent war, her son was saved by her husband, and after her son reminded her again and again, she refrained from making things difficult, though she didn’t show any closeness either. To be honest, no matter how capable Yang Ruxin was, Xiao Jin still looked down on a village girl.

Now that the Emperor mentioned her son’s marriage, Xiao Jin was pleased: ”Your Majesty, I have been considering a few suitable ladies from prominent families these days. What do you think...”

”I have arrangements for the third son’s marriage,” the Emperor waved his hand.

Xiao Jin was displeased but didn’t dare say anything.

Yang Ruxin immediately thought of Jin Country. The Crown Prince is coming to marry a princess from Daxuan, and in turn, a princess from Jin Country will be married to Daxuan. It seems the princess’s marriage alliance is with Prince Yun. After all, the Crown Prince already has a Crown Princess Consort; they can’t let the princess become a concubine for their Crown Prince, right? Jin Country couldn’t afford that disgrace.

Qi Jingyun, however, showed no change in expression, as if they weren’t talking about him.

When leaving the palace, Yan Yuyu, the Princely Heir Consort from Duke Rong’s family, deliberately walked with Yang Ruxin. The two of them had maintained contact ever since they met, thanks to a bonding over little great-grandson Gao Fei’s fondness for dolls. They would also exchange gifts and visits during the festive seasons, maintaining a good relationship.

”Xinxin, there’s a plum blossom appreciation banquet in a few days. You must come.” Yan Yuyu invited Yang Ruxin, ”I’ll send you an invitation then.”

”Alright.” Yang Ruxin readily agreed. As long as Gu Qingheng was in officialdom, such social gatherings were unavoidable.
